WASHINGTON (CNN) — Sen. Joe Biden, D-Delaware, has been on the national political scene for two decades.

Despite a strong showing in CNN’s Democratic Debate and being on the national scene for twenty years, Republican Strategist Mike Murphy still doesn’t think Biden is a first tier candidate. "You can see a glimpse of what made him such a star 20 years ago when he was the fresh new face in the Democratic Party … he showed a little bit of that tonight, but [is] still the second chair."

What is up with the media? Joe Biden would be a terrific President. I've been listening to him speak on the Sunday morning shows for a long time now. He's simply the best we've got and the most Presidential. I don't get why he's not a first tier candidate. What's wrong with our system?

Biden would be a GREAT President. . . intelligent, seasoned, knowledgeable, articulate, tough & decisive. He is also the only Democratic candidate that read the entire NIE in 2002 and has a comprehensive plan for ending the war in Iraq. But it is doubtful that he can win the nomination because apparently those are not qualities or criteria that are important to the electorate. They appear to want a "rock star," someone flashy and with a big name or persona. Maybe, given that predisposition, we should nominate Justin Timberlake. . . he couldn't do worse than what we are stuck with now!

I think Biden was wrong in his vote to give President Bush another blank check to continue funding the Iraq war without being held accountable. Hillary Clinton got it right by sending President Bush a message on behalf of the American people that enough is enough. The best way to support our troops is work on bringing them home instead of having them left in Iraq with no exit plan which is not fair to our troops. Our troops have been wonderful and they have done everything that has been asked of them and it's not fair how President Bush has no exit plan to bring our troops out of Iraq. I know I voted Democratic because I wanted change and Biden doesn't offer that change by voting to keep this Iraq war going while our country is going bankrupt. My vote will be going to Hillary.
