Gravel back from the past

WASHINGTON (CNN) - While introducing himself to New Hampshire voters, long shot presidential hopeful Mike Gravel said he's "back from the past."

"I'm back from the past, a new leader," the former Alaska senator said. "My name is Mike Gravel and I'm running for President of the United States for real."

A relatively unknown candidate, Gravel served as senator of Alaska from 1969-1981.
