What has Canada done wrong? They are not trying to get in, in fact many Americans are trying to get out. Obama was incredibly incorrect in trying to point out ineptitude of border security with the Andrew Speaker situation- Speaker is not an illegal immigrant trying to get in, he's an old-fashioned American trying to break the laws.
