ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) — When asked about his confidence in the Iraqi government and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he thinks people in the West are missing the point. In the West, Huckabee said, people believe former President Ronald Reagan was responsible for bringing an end to the Cold War and bringing about the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Taliban, however, believes it brought down the Soviet Union by fighting in Afghanistan, Huckabee said. "It is not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog, and we grossly underestimate how fierce this dog is and how determined they are to destroy every last one of us," Huckabee said. –CNN.com writer Kristi Keck Filed under: Mike Huckabee Race to '08 |
