In light of the fact that the ability to have an abortion for any reason has been bestowed on mothers by the U.S. Supreme Court, when is the Federal Government going to get involved in prosecuting the abuse of the right to abortion? These abuses include but are not limited to:

- failure, and even REFUSAL, of abortion clinic personnel to report underage pregnancies to the authorities for investigation. This failure enables not only the destruction of genetic evidence of the child's rape, but allows their sexual abuse to continue indefinitely.

- deaths of mothers undergoing abortions due to filthy conditions, careless surgical methods, and resistance to calling for ambulances for mothers who are in medical distress (out of fear of negative publicity and closer scrutiny of their facilities and practices)

- coerced and even forced abortions by family, friends, and employers of pregnant mothers – threats of ostracism or loss of employment, witholding of financial support, illegal threats of homelessness to teens, threats of physical violence, and ACTUAL physical violence. Refusal to abort frequently results in the death of the pregnant mother.

- illegal post-viability abortions, covered up by FRAUDULENT "documentation" of "psychological" illness, fetal abnormality, or threat to the life of the mother. Abortionists participating in these crimes are in cahoots with other physicians to perpetrate a false appearance of medical corrobaration that is required by the LAW in order to justify these post-viability abortions. Many of these illegal post-viability abortions are being done on minors against their will at the behest of their parents or of their sexual abusers. They are forever scarred psychologically and oftentimes physically, by these assaults on their bodies.

I could go on and on, but these are simply the major problems. There are countless other examples of sub-standard care at abortion mills, failure to adequately inform pregnant mothers of the facts of abortion, fraudulent and deceptive building permit applications by abortion mills, and intimidation or even ASSAULT against peaceful pro-life protesters – ALL of which local, state and federal law-enforcement is either afraid to or refuses to investigate and prosecute. This is due to the climate of intimidation and the money that the abortion industry has poured into the political process, effectively buying the loyalties of various politicians.

If abortion is going to be legal, we should at the very least assure our communities that mothers undergoing abortions are getting the best care and that the laws are being followed. Anything less, and we are simply defying the supposed reason for abortion being legal – "avoiding the back-alley abortion". As it stands now, MORE women are dying or being maimed from unsafe abortions, NOT fewer. MORE women’s rights are being violated, NOT fewer. And these mothers have no recourse in suing these butchers because of the politically correct protection of abortionists at all costs. They have simply become untouchable to the detriment of women's health and to the detriment of the rule of law.

Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, these things are shameful in a country that supposedly values the “rule of law”.

So, again, my question is – what are you going to do about the strangehold that the abortion industry has on our society?

Most of the predictions of the Iraq War proponents have been proven wrong: increased oil revenue would pay for the war, there were weapons of mass destruction, Saddam Hussein was connected to the attacks of 9/11, Iraqis would greet us as liberators, etc. In spite of this, with the exception of Ron Paul, all of you still support the war and are now predicting that if U.S. forces leave Iraq, the terrorists will "follow us home." Whats wrong with the system? There is a detachment from common men to their politicians. Politicians need millions to run. This is a big issue as any new President is already in debt to his contributors. Is this a perfect system? Can you not think of a way of detaching politics from money? I would ask this question to all the candidates (except one): When are you going to pull out of the race and endorse Congressman Paul?

Why are the Republicans mostly interested in helping the wealthy. For example most Republican politicians and economists like the idea of a flat tax. Wouldn't it be better to first try a progressive flat tax with three rates. 14% on incomes up to $75,000.
19% on incomes up to $ 250,000, and 24% on incomes above $ 250,000. Clearly this would be more appealing to the U.S. public.

Each senator, president, and other government officers, must take an Oath to support the Constitution when they take office.

Since the Federal Reserve and IRS act outside the Constitution (e.g. the subjects of the 16th Amendment are not the people), if each candidate were to become president, how long would it be until they abolished both the Federal Reserve and IRS? As well as other alphabet soup agencies, including the FBI, which is a federal agency with no authority to operate within the states, but are restricted to federal territory, such as Washington, D.C.

I,as a citizen of the United States of America, am vehemently opposed to the Immigration Bill currently being discussed in Congress. Although I've suspected for a long time that "Operation Iraqi Liberation" is all about oil and money, today I heard some details about the Iraqi Oil Law that Bush wants passed – and is one of the "benchmarks" in the latest supplemental – that proves to me that this war is nothing more than a giant giveaway to US oil companies.

Our servicemen are being killed and maimed to insure profits for oil companies. Hundreds of thousands of innocents – including those on 9/11 – died to maintain a corporate cabal that includes our president & vice-president. Our tax dollars – and the tax dollars of future generations – is buying a reserve of resources for private enterprise.

When are they going to address and have positions on issues other than those crafted to be politically divisive? Economic planning? National Security? Education? The two parties for years have taken social issues and tried to create passion around and tell you what to think about social and religious issues, just to get us to the poles. Protect our country, position it to compete in a global economy, allow our youth to prosper and leave the sermonizing to the pulpit.

President Bush repeatedly said that Iraq was partially responsible for the 9/11 attacks and Gov. Giuliani agreed with the President (never once has Gov. Giuliani disagreed with President Bush's assertion). However, when Rep. Ron Paul presents a connection between Iraq and 9/11, Gov. Giuliani calls it "absurd"? Why is that?

Many on the Democratic side are trying to get us to leave Iraq precipitously. One of their arguments is the use of the phrase, "The Dominos did not fall", when speaking about Vietnam and our fight against communism. However, these people seem to forget about the millions of South Vietnamese that were slaughtered, plus millions more in Cambodia and Laos. The dominos did fall in those 2 countries, and in my opinion, the only reason the communists didn't continue is because we kept fighting in places like Nicaragua and Afghanistan.

I was a lifelong Republican until President George W. Bush came to office. My question has more to do with CNN's coverage. First, would you please inform Mr. Blitzer that this is not a 4th grade class and these individual's shouldn't be required to have a "show of hands". Second, it would be appreciated if CNN did not make judgments as to the importance of candidates by placing those it deems to be the "frontrunners" in the middle and lesser candidates to the ends of the platform. This is very subtile, but some viewers can see through the management of the debates operated by CNN.

what are the republican candidates going to do about making doctors more accessible to sick people? How are you going to make health care more accessible to the sick. The health care services are available only to the rich at this point and even then doctors are highly inaccessible – if you are sick you have to anticipate your sickness to get an appointment – which is quite impossible! Yes – there is urgent care – but it is very low quality health care. Countries like India with twice the population of the US have doctors available for the sick than in a so called developed country like the US. In this country we have very little regard for the sick. It's a great shame!

According to Congressional testimony by the Heritage Foundation on May 17th, they reported in 2004, the average net fiscal deficit for all low-skilled immigrants (legal and illegal, of which 60% are illegal) for federal, state and local spending combined was a staggering $89.1 billion, with deficits approaching a half trillion dollars in the next 10 years. My question to the candidates is why retention of present low-skilled illegal immigrants through the proposed amnesty legislation and the expansion of low-skilled immigrants is the most effective solution? Isn’t it a more effective use of tax-dollars to increase the budget of DHS to actually enforce current immigration laws, restrict the number of legal immigrant inflow, and expedite current deportation hearings all over a 5-year period to tackle the immigration problem? The country’s infrastructure can only take so much.

Blowback is a fact. A government is like the management of a business. For us, that business is called The United States of America. That said, why is it that Republicans believe that money is better in the hands of the people than in the government? It has been widely viewed that the current president has done more to increase the power of the executive branch by adhering to such policies as executive privledge, refusing to cooroperate with congress concerning open investigations, and by his use of signing statements.

No United States Constitution provision, federal statute, or common-law principle explicitly permits or prohibits signing statements. Article I, Section 7 (in the Presentment Clause) empowers the president to veto a law in its entirety, or to sign it. Article II, Section 3 requires that the executive "take care that the laws be faithfully executed".

Given that these practices are highly controversial, and have been excessive under the current president, do you believe in the power of congress to make law, and the executive branch to enforce law? And by doing so, pledge today to limit your use of signing statements until the legality of such can be fully determined?

I would want to know which special interest group are you working for? As a citizen of the United States, I can't afford to pay the politicians enough to work for me. I just want to know which candidate is working for me. I don't vote party. I vote people. I'd love to get rid of the electoral college so that my vote would truly count again. I keep hearing the price of gas is not a crude supply problem but a refining capacity problem. What do think about the idea of the government using public funds to get into the refinery business and compete with big oil. For those GOP candidates, please define a clear definition of what consititues 'winning' the War in Iraq in fundametal steps (or missions) that the American people can understand so that our troops can perform their duty and ultimately earn their well-deserved right to return home.

Why won't a Republican candidate support a windfall profits tax on the oil industry tied directly to re-investing profits in refining capacity? "Invest in refineries and don't pay the tax." Wouldn't that take away the cloud of suspicion that they (oil evecutives) are manipulating supplies to gouge the American consumer? And wouldn't such support relieve the growing perception among the middle class that the Republican party is just an extension/representative of an unfair system designed to perpetuate the continued econnomic rape of us by this industry? Or, do the candidates have the same attitude I heard voiced by one Texas Congressman that if we don't like the price – don't buy their product? If I could ride my bike the 70 miles a day I am forced to drive for my employment – I wouldn't buy their product. I am a captive consumer!

If I had the chance I'd ask the GOP Candidates who they are more loyal too: Their Political Party or the American People as a Whole. George W. Why haven't you considered giving citizenship to legal resident aliens who have been in the country for more than let's say 10 years automatically if they request it? Prior to the invasion of Iraq, the Republican Administration and key members of the Republican House and Senate repeatedly asserted that Iraq did indeed have weapons of Mass Destruction, even though none had been found, and that the reason they hadn't been found was that they were hidden in hospitals, mosques and schools, thus necessitating the invasion.
However, after the fall of Baghdad, Iraq was convulsed with rampant looting and lawlessness, much of it targeting the country's hospitals and schools, which American troops apparently did nothing to abate.
It seems incredulous that this Republican Administration would sit idly by and let hospitals and schools, the very places they stated that they believed the WMDs to be hidden, be ransacked and looted, down to the floorboards. Why did they not try to stop this unless they were fully aware that there were, in fact, no WMDs in these facilities?
