Ten GOP candidates squared off Tuesday night.
WASHINGTON (CNN) - Seen on board the 6 a.m. US Airways flight 1159 from Manchester, New Hampshire to Washington: No less than five GOP presidential candidates: Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Rep. Duncan Hunter of California, former Virginia Gov. James Gilmore, and Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas.
Four of the five candidates sat in coach.
The lucky candidate who flew first class? Ron Paul.
The candidates were all flying back after facing off Tuesday night in a spirited debate in Manchester, New Hampshire, sponsored by CNN, WMUR-TV, and the New Hampshire Union Leader.
The only candidate worthy of flying first class is Dr. Ron Paul! The other candidats need to sit in coach in order to get in touch with the American people. Ron Paul is already there. All you have to do is look at your own CNN polls to see that!
Good for him. After arguing with the other blind candidates, he needs to relax and take it easy. RON PAUL IS THE HOPE FOR AMERICA!!
Well it doesn't surprise me that Ron Paul flew first class because he's the only "first class" republican candidate.
Not too surprising. Of all of the candidates listed he is the only one that has any class.
Ron Paul is something Americans haven't seen in a very long time. A Statesman, and an honest public servant.
He walks the walk of a true leader and patriot.
Check his record, then go to 'you tube' and see his clips.
I'm very proud of Ron Paul's true patriotism. In times of deceit, Ron Pauls talks about the truth that others doesn't even dare to mention. He is most def. the people's candidate. Finally i see HOPE in politics.
he was a doctor hes got the cash.
Are you kidding me? This is the best smear you can come up with against Dr Paul? Pathetic.
When you don’t fly private, corporate, special interest or PAC Jets, you have to fly on the commercial flights. When you do that all the time, like Ron Paul, you accumulate Frequent Flyer Miles. When you have enough you get free bumps to first class. Maybe Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, James Gilmore, Sam Brownback should fly commercial more often.. That is the worst you can find on Ron Paul…. Being Frugal and getting rewarded for it.. Please..
So, does it really matter?
so what's your point?
Why is this a story? Why does it matter? Anyone making even decent mnoney can afford sitting first class. Are you insinuating it would be wrong for me to buy a mustang over a taurus?
Um, Ok. This story is significant why? Seems like Paul is the only smart guy out of the five. Why fly coach when you can fly first class. What a weird story.
Ron Paul is the only Republican with any new ideas and who has a track record for upholding The Constitution.... you know that thing that our country was founded on?
If I were an airline employee Ron Paul is the only candidate that would deserve an upgrade!
All of his amazing points of views and fact based arguments and this tidbit is all CNN will report on?
What about the five other candidates? It would be interesting to see how many private jets there were, especially those provided by corporate "friends" for the price of a first-class ticket.
Ron Paul won the Debate. "When the people fear the government it is called Tryanny." When the government fear the people it is called Liberty!"
Ron Paul supports free markets - good thing he supports private airline companies.
I donated money to his campaign so he can fly first class. If I could afford one, I would have him fly on a private jet.
CNN, why don't you write articles on how many top-tier candidates fly on corporate chartered jets?
Yawn. Meanwhile, Rudy Giuliani flies on a private jet.
That's weird. Maybe he's been getting a lot of donations lately?
Guess that makes him Tier 1.5
How did the others fly?
Lets attack a guy for flying first class while ignoring Hillary Clinton's ride on a corporate jet!! Whooo, rack another win up for CNN!!
So what? I guess whether a candidate flies first class or coach is more important than whether they support nuclear first strikes against countries that haven't attacked us, or not. Next hot CNN Topic of National Importance: how much their haircuts cost – stay tuned.
Hmm... And which of the candidates fly in private jets?
