I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby is headed back to court to try to forestall his 2½-year prison term in the CIA leak case.

Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, planned to ask a federal judge Thursday to put the sentence on hold while he appeals his perjury and obstruction conviction.

It would be a long shot request before a judge who has said he sees no reason to grant it.

Please keep this in mind, all those who speak with glee, What goes around, comes around.

Keep in mind…Bush fans…it's not just the fact the name of a CIA agent was revealed to the media.

It's also the fact he participated in a cover-up, lied and did not cooperate with prosecutors.

Not to mention these crimes were motivated by political revenge for Joe Wilson speaking out and claiming the basis for war in Iraq was a lie.

Besides don't worry…Libby took the fall for his boss and he won't go to a real prison. He'll have all the finest accomidies in the world for being in jail. His own cell, television, good food and all.

Just the mere fact confidential, highly personal information was inappropriately released to the media is reason alone to go to jail.

If an employer did that to a former worker - they would be sued. Laws are in place to protect individuals from thugs.

Justice was served.

Libby was convicted of perjury, not leaking the name of CIA operative. Most would not consider successfully convicting a government official of perjury a waste of tax money; however, taking too many days off from Congress last year, getting nothing accomplished, and giving themselves an undeserving raise was a blatant waste of tax dollars. No wonder America shifted the majority in our legislative branches.

Our gov't has more important things to do than put someone in jail for leaking a name of someone who based on appearance would have never been in any undercover job at the CIA. What a waste of my tax money.
