As an democrat I am disgusted. That was a fair question. Who does she think she is. The democrats have lost their minds. We must love losing elections. Does she have an answer for anything that she is not sure what the majority thinks. I guess maybe she will answer that question when Edwards or Obama answer it and the poll show the extreme majority is for it. Please anyone tell me something she stood for that was not popular anything at all please. Last June she was against the timeline for the Irag war now 80 percent is for it and so is she. Give me a break.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Scooter Libby used to be Mark Rich's lawyer?

Whether you like Hillary or not, the Democrats are destined to take back the White House come 2008 after years of fear-mongering, international law thumbing by the Bush theocracy. The USA will remain the world's super power not because we have the most advanced weaponry and military but rather the best democracy with tbe best check and balance.
Politicians are seasoned bean-counters. They will not be where they are should they behave like a loose canon.

If this was a man, you all would not question the fact he chose to not answer a stupid question. Hillary is not obligated to answer anything and everything the media throws at her.

This was a question that no matter how she answered, she would be attacked. She is smart, intelligent, and a hardworker.

And, reading some of the comments here and on other issues, tell me that Hillary is going to give whomever the Republican nominee is a run for their money. The comments are based on emotion and not the issues.

Go Hillary!

What are you saying, Bill Clinton pardoned many people before leaving office and that's ok? Bush has not even pardoned Libby yet and he is getting heat for it.

Clinton wipes out the the attorneys who didn't fit his belief system and it's a one day story, Bush does the same and it's a crisis.

Clinton signs ok for Sandy Berger to access the archives and while there he admittedly STEALS documents before the 9-11 commision was to meet. Slap on he wrist.

Libby is charged with outing an agent, but during his trial some dirtbag confesses, Libby goes to JAIL.

Sounds fair.

Yes I agree...it seems that Hillary will do whatever it takes to not take a stand on ANY issue.

She just wants to keep her lead in the polls and will and remain mum on ALL issues.

Instead all she does is make very broad and generic statements...very shrewd and predictable.

I'm sorry, but I think she should have answered the question: What does she think?
Don't forget that her husband pardoned something like ninety (90) people, including fugitive financier Mark Rich and a convicted coke dealer, as he ran out the back door. (But he did not pardon Webster Hubbell who ahd been one of her partners a the Rose Law firm.)
A pardon for Libby brings dishonor to the White House, and she should have said so! But considering how her pal Susan Thomases "couldn't recall" during the investigation of Travel Gate several years prior, I suspect that by her coy response, Mrs. Clinton was simply trying to keep as many options open for her own use, in case she has to pardon some cronies someday. Just as Bill did before he left the building.

I'd say Hillary is showing her Political Intelligence by not getting roped into the Libby Controversy. The public would disagree anyway whether her comment was positive or negative.
Smart lady. And I also agree with her
that the questions should relate to the American people and new administration policies.

Her opinion on Libby has no baring on her Political Candidacy or the future of Americans.

Good response by Clinton. It seems that candidates in both parties are scoring some points by attacking the stupid, "gotch-ya" questions that these moderators have been asking. There is nothing that Clinton could do even if Bush did pardon Libby, so why even ask?
