WASHINGTON (CNN) — Philadelphia Mayor John Street endorsed Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy at joint press conference Monday with the New York senator in Pennsylvania.

“Senator Clinton is a progressive leader who has served the people of our country with dedication and passion for over 30 years,” Street said in a statement. “She will be a strong advocate for our nation’s cities, and I endorse her candidacy for president."

Street, who is African-American, now joins Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and a growing number of racial and ethnic minority leaders from urban areas who are backing Clinton’s candidacy.

Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pennsylvania, also announced on Monday that he is endorsing Senator Clinton’s presidential bid.

People HATE Hillary due to the years of Republican spewed filth. That's what they're really good at doing. She's clearly the most qualified, but maybe Fred Thompson has a chance, since Repubs scream about Hollywood, but they certainly vote for them….Reagan, Sony Bono, ARNOLD! BTW, find a picture of Thompson's trouphy wife….she looks like a whore in heat!
HILLARY 2008 and 2012
OBAMA 2016 and 2020

ic Bill Clinton is collecting his dues from these gutless Democratic politicians. There is a reason Barack Obama has such a large donor base on the internet. People like him, they don't like H. Clinton. Democrats will leave the party in droves if H. Clinton is nominated as the Democratic candidate.

It's foolish to think Mayor Street could have any influence on Philadelphia voters now. Street was personally involved in a federal corruption investigation in 2005. His brother Milton has exploited the mayor's name to obtain city contracts. Over 200 people have been murdered this year in gun-related incidents with no end in sight. And just last week, he sat in line wasting taxpayers' money to buy an iPhone. His term is almost over. Hillary is so lucky to have him on her side!

Anyone with two cents of sense, which is obviously not Luis from Miami, Florida, knows that Hillary Clinton is a power hungry liar. Of course, anyone with any sense at all could spell the word sense. Nice try, Luis.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!!!! WE HAVE ALL HAD ENOUGH OF THE CLINTONS FAMILY AND THE BUSH FAMILY RUINING OUR GREAT AMERICA. VOTE FOR TOM TANCREDO OR FRED THOMPSON.

Bill W, Coatesville, PA   July 2nd, 2007 7:31 pm ET

And do you Hillary backers understand that if she wins, the same 2 families - Bush and Clinton - wil lhave controlled the White House for 24 years??? We're at 20 now between these 2 families. Why we donlt just call it what it is - a monarchy.

BilL W, Coatesville, PA   July 2nd, 2007 7:24 pm ET

I blame Ed Rendell. If not for him, John Street probably would not be mayor of Philadelphia. Street won by the narrowest of margins, with Rendell's support. I never liked Rendell or Street.

Ever notice how CNN selects their political stories? For the most part, if it promotes a Democrat or denigrates a Republican, print it.

What has Hillary done to show she can run the country? There are do'ers and say'ers. She is a say'er.

Anyone with two cents of sence knows that Mrs Clinton is the best candidate in this circle. Obama is young and will be a great leader some day but he needs to put time in.
