Reading seems to be a missing skill. I wonder if Mr. Giuliani has read the 911 Report or any of the other suggested reading regarding 911.

I noticed of everyone who could only link Giuliani to 9/11 are not from NYC. I am from the NYC area and worked there for 20 years, during Koch, Dinkins, Giuliani and Bloomberg. Giuliani cleaned up NY and made it possible for the average Joe and Joanne to go back to work safely. Ask anyone who ever worked in NYC during those years and they will agree about that part hands down. He may have a habit of insulting people, but he gets the job done. Proof positive that his ideas do work even if they seem insulting. Most people didn't like Giuliani, but they knew he did the right job. Everyone loved Koch, but in the end, NYC needed more than a loving mayoral figure.

Unfortunately, there is no way to go back to what our founding fathers wished. That was destroyed in the 1800's when the Federal Government crammed all of their requirements down the states' throats and today, with all of our regulations in place, we would never be able to turn back short of each state breaking free from the Union.

We don't need another politician treating us as if we were stupid children and acting "just like a good parent" to us. Paternalism should have no place in our government, and any adult citizen of this country who wants to be baby-sat should immediately give up his/her franchise. Paul is right: We need to get back to our Republican roots and reclaim our freedom. What is Guiliani's claim to national fame other than the fact that he was mayor of New York when 9/11 occurred?

Ever since Rude Rudy criticized Ron Paul in the debates, I lost all respect for him. Not a chance he will get my vote. Personally, I don't care if he knows about racing or not. When I did live in NY, he made the city a gret city to live in. Koch, although loved by everyone ran a crime ridden city and Bloomberg has pretty much let the city slip into the old days before Giuliani. I left NY last year, maybe if another Rudy came on board, I'd consider visiting. Rudy may not be loved for his ways, but he's what we need. Just like a good parent.

NASCAR isn't really a sport. It is an event, one in which ridiculously huge amounts of beer and fuel and advertising are consumed. Rudy's attempt to pretend he actually cares about anything else than the New York Yankees–which is a perfectly fine team to care about–just goes to show that he is a showman, pandering to the people west of the Hudson River who like to watch cars go around and around and around in circles, which is a metaphor for Rudy's worldview–it starts on 9/11 and ends on 9/12 and picks back up on 9/11.

I believe it's time the Federal government looks at the tax structure of states such as Florida, Texas and Tennessee. They have no state income tax and seem to function pretty well thru the collection of state sales taxes and property taxes. A federal sales tax instead of an income tax would insure that there are no tax evaders.

First of all, enough of about NASCAR and politics. The viewer ratings for this sport has gone down every year the past few years.

Second, why does CNN think it is important for people to know the Rudy needed a guide to NASCAR to learn about it? If this really has a bearing on the 2008 election, we are in trouble. The leader of the free world, and the person who sets our foreign and domestic policies should not be judged on because of his NASCAR knowledge.
