2.5 hours... just enough time to shred the Constitution, declare war on 14 different countries and shuttle Alberto Gonzales across the U.S.-Canadian border.

Maybe with the title, President Cheney will have an epiphany, learn from his mistakes, and start thinking much further ahead than how to stuff a few more dollars in a special interest pocket. I don't expect that soon. Mission Accomplished Indeed. Balderdash!

There is no hope; but I could be wrong.

Dear "REDSTATE : July 20, 2007 3:37 pm"

Of course nobody likes when its President is criticized/insulted - The President of a country is supposed to represent the best image of its people and the logic would be the election of an intelligent individual (right or left wing) not someone that did not know before invading Iraq that there were Shiite and Sunny Muslims!! Or someone that cannot talk by himself without saying anything stupid unless he reads a speech. Having G.W. Bush as President sure makes all of you look dumb – On the other hand, Cheney is far from being stupid (but he is a fascist).

I would like to insist that it is often not the American people being insulted/criticized by the outside world but your government and its foreign policies of spreading freedom – somehow, you have to show the world that 70% of you are against killing people for oil, or you could ask your government why they doesn’t “spread democracy” to Saudi Arabia or Kuwait.

When the governments of Canada, France or Germany refuse to invade a sovereign country in 2003, the US media where making fun of the French, showing people dumping wine on the street in New York and calling French Fries “Freedom Fries”. Four years later who made the best choice.

Hm. I love how Bush advocates cancer screening, but most Americans can't even afford it because they don't have health insurance. That's why it's the 2nd most common cancer in America. That's why a lot of people die in America. Nice work Bush. Nice work.

Now don't quote me and I'm sure this is nothing, but the bible does say the people will give the devil all authority for a hour to commit destruction. I'm not calling Cheney the devil, but this world is really hosed and this just adds to the interest in revelations. Intersting.

Okay, Dingbats: Here are YOUR legislators who voted to go to Iraq and now you mindless twits are blaming one man - the President. Get your facts straight.

Yes, we do blame the President and his administration, because they gave FABRICATED EVIDENCE to Congress in order to gather enough support for his declaration of war. It's too bad no one on the right side of the aisle was smart enough to see past that and vote "nay".

Regarding the Senate vote:

The majority of Democrats in the House, and a majority of all Democrats combined voted against the war resolution.

A resolution that war would be used as a last resort after the Imperial President went back to the UN for a second vote.

He never went back for that second vote.

The Republic Party needs to stop filibustering the will of the American people, and choose national interest over the politics of backing Dumbya and his failed policy in Iraq.

In responce to the list of senator's who voted to go to war, didn't like 9 of them read the report about the pro's and con's of going to war in the first place? Unless one of the under dog's with no finacial backing somehow wins the next election were going to end up w/ more of the same people in Washington not doing their jobs.

Add some E85 by-products like formaldehyde and acetate, or carcinogenic refinery run-off like benzyne, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, and lead to his anesthesia mix so he knows how it feels to breathe in Texas. Maybe the doctors will locate the $12 billion missing in government money contracted at Halliburton.

Aha! Al Qaeda's secret plan is to work at Blue Cross and deny the President's insurance claims until he dies of colon cancer. They really have learned true terror from Americans, but I guess they didn't learn that the President doesn't have to suffer at the hands of his own private insurance companies with all the government-paid doctors he gets.

To the "dingbat" that posted the Senate vote:

THE MAJORITY OF DEMOCRATS IN THE HOUSE VOTED AGAINST THE WAR RESOLUTION!

and more Democrats, in total, from the House and Senate voted against the measure.

We won't even get into the fact that it was suppose to be a last resort after the Imperial President went back to the UN for another vote.

He never went back to the UN for that vote!

The Republic Party needs to stop filibustering the will of the people!!

To "Paul, GCPDM, Canada:"

FYI - Because I work 40 hours a week and on top of that, raise a family, all while not blaming President Bush for my own fiscal responsibility, I don't watch much t.v., Mr. Canada. However, when I do, I watch ALL of the news channels - even though all of them cater to liberals like you. Unlike people like you, I don't stick to one man to get my "facts". Gee, Lou Dobbs is so non-partisan. And also, be careful criticizing another country's president lest you find yourself up against the wrath of Congress like Hugo Chavez did. We don't like our President criticized by other countries - he's still OUR President!

The moron will probably declare war on Iran, Syria and North Korea simultaneously.
The moron who wrote that comment apparently never read the US Constitution.

This just like the Harry Potter book issue. The doctor's just want a sneak preview of Bush's IRAQ exit strategy. And no fear about Cheney having supreme executive powers, by his own admission he isn't part of the Executive Branch. Only in America...

Dear "REDSTATE : July 20, 2007 1:56 pm"

I guess you are among the 30% of Americans who are either putting lots of $$$ in their pockets or retarded. If you are not retarded you better protect your wealth by buying some GOLD.
Bush for 6 years was enough to put the final nail on the coffin of the dollar - this government betrayed its citizens for its own interests. When the Chinese or Japanese stop recycling their surpluses in your country the US will be officially BANKRUPT.

Stop watching Fox News and switch to Lou Dobbs for a month

Remember the 2000 elections? I do, and what stands out in my mind the most is the scene when the Congressional Black Caucus walked out of chambers in protests of the ratification of the election results, which was marred by the thousands of African-Americans who's votes were thrown out. Now America, you got what you wanted...a den of vipers in the White House. Review what has happened to America and its good will that took most of the 20th century to develop. The blood spilled for profit, heads of state assassinated via CIA (Remember Mosedeq in Iran overthrown by CIA and replaced with Sha Rezza), now you have a band of sicko's who need blood for profit in the white house. And to think, some 'Americans' are OK with that. YOU BROUGHT THIS ON YOURSELVES! Reminds me of the fall of Rome, but this time the barbarians ARE in the gate and running the show. Fat, comfortable American public, enjoying sick sit-coms on TV while their country went to hell. You had a chance to be a REAL American then and stand up for what was right, but since those disenfranchised had darker hued skin it was acceptable. Now look at your country. You snooze, you loose!

Thank you for your comments “IF Colorado: July 20, 2007 1:59 pm".

I do realize that "only" 30% of American citizen are behind this administration, which is still amazing. Unfortunately, the all country has to wait until 2009 to see new faces.

On another note, Stephen Harper, our relatively new prime minister in Canada is also moving our country in the wrong directions on all important issues (environment, Medicare and social security).

How can anyone defend either one of these men? They ignore the constitution, promote discrimination on a governmental level, spend billions on a war to get soldiers killed for oil (btw with that money Americans could have free health care for life), and scandal after scandal say they support whoever is the scapegoat, then do whatever it takes to keep those involved from answering for their actions, and then finally say they had no idea what was going on. Bush has poor policy on every front, and Cheney.. Well evil evil.. I don't care how "moral" people think Bush is, the guy used the religious right to get elected, protested a hand count (which he had promoted when a TX was in question) and then somehow reelected! Are you seriously saying this guy is a good president?!? Hopefully history isn't blind to the immoral and anti-American BS of this Administration. While the Dr's are up there can we request they insert a brain?

BTW wanting the troops out doesn't mean I don't support the troops.. it means I support their right not to leave their families and put their lives in danger unless it is for a good (and real) reason.

Hey America, glad to see ya wakin up to the sorry truth about this administration. It's hurts to admit how far wrong we have gone when most Americans are worried about their VP officially taking the helm, if even for a couple of hours. The blinders are off for the vast majority and the rest... well just know, when you finally DO remove them...we'll welcome you back to the fold.

It's far past time to......
IMPEACH BUSH AND CHENEY!
