Protester removed from Fred Thompson event

A protester questioned Thompson’s conservatism Wednesday.

HOUSTON, Texas (CNN) – A woman screaming “you’re not a real conservative, sir” was removed by police from a welcoming reception for likely GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson Wednesday morning. A second protester was also taken from the room.

Houston police officers escorted the woman — as well as a man — from the hangar at Hobby Airport, where Thompson was shaking hands with a crowd of supporters. They were not arrested.

The woman questioned Thompson as he talked to reporters. She asked him why he was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and noted that the organization supported the North American Union with Canada and Mexico.

After the woman interrupted Thompson by questioning his conservative credentials, the likely candidate said, “Don’t fuss at me. You asked me a question. Let me answer it.” He told the woman, “I try to learn as much as I can from all viewpoints.”

Later, she shouted at Thompson as the news conference ended. Police officers took her outside a fenced area near the hangar, and stood with her until the former Tennessee senator departed.

Editor’s Note: In the comments section below (#4), the woman has identified herself as a member of the group “Houston 9/11 Truth.” In a video of the incident linked on her blog, she is also heard charging the attack in New York on 9/11 was a “inside job.”

This article is misleading. It suggests that Fred Thompson is being protested by conservatives and that this woman was a conservative. Nowhere does it mention that she is a 911 Truther or her screaming about 911 being an "inside job." That information would have given important facts and context regarding the incident.

911 Truthers are not conservatives in any sense recognized by the conservative political movement in the United States. They are loonies whose ideology lies outside the realm of rational political discussion. Most, if not all, would not even claim to be conservatives.

I have watched a few vids of this story. It is possible that they should not have escorted her out based on what she said. It really wasn't a big deal. However, when she started throwing a hissy fit and yelling "Don't touch me!!!" Geez lady, get a grip and toughen up a bit. From the video it was clear the police where not being very forceful. I think she was just being a drama queen. This should have never made the news. I guess she is getting the attention she wanted too bad she came off looking like a panzy.

Bill and Hillary used to have people arrested for the same thing. Try this at one of her rallies and see what happens. It could be much worse!

Nice edit job CNN. Show some of the footage before they dragged this girl out. She asked a non puffball question of Thompson and was then made to leave. CNN's editing makes this look like she was shouting the entire time. That just isnt true.

People draw political lines in the sand as if everyone can fall into one mold or another. One of the great beauties of God's creation is it's diversity. Stop pretending that everyone has to be "right" or "left", "this" or "that", when most people fall into elements of both or neither. To be honest, it really doesn't matter, because the same puppet master (Corporate America) is pulling the strings on both sides.

Why do you suppose CNN omitted in the story that she was yelling that 911 was an inside job??? and she was yelling "what about building 7". You moonbats need to get educated. CNN is not giving you the whole story. They just give you liberals what you want to here. Check out this link to see the whole video. I would have thrown her out too. It's just more of your left wing media bias.

Whether you Thompsonites know it or not, a lot of conservatives left the GOP, tore up their cards and aren't going back, and certainly not for a RINO CFR member like Thompson! I'm not saying Thompson hasn't done some smart things as early as 2000 or so to "prep" for this day:

    -He quit the Senate prematurely

    -He married a trophy wife

The latter might help him in the Northeast where evangelists don't have a hold on conservative politics. But the latter doesn't help him in the South among conservatives. And his hiring open borders loser Spencer Abraham (one of the biggest pro-Saudi/pro-Arab pols ever to grace Washington) is a major "negative". But then, his trophy wife is "handling" his campaign, so we shouldn't worry, right? Polls don't mean much, now, and certainly not for an unannounced candidate. Once Republicans see him for what he is–an empty suit–they'll bolt.

Five things hurt him that the public at large isn't yet aware of (and thus his high poll numbers) assuming he doesn't properly answer them publicly:

-His stance on the 30 million illegal aliens here in the U.S. and whether he would boost the effort to build the Fence (which is the law). Anti-Invasion conservatives are deeply suspicious that he might continue Bush's push for amnesty for these many millions given his clear unwillingness to "round them up". There is no "middle ground" on this issue. Either you're for legalizing them, or you're for mass deportation. What Thompson DOESN'T say in the Chris Wallace interview is what he will do as President–would he push to legalize them as Bush is doing? Or will he finally take the reins off of ICE and rid the country of those who don't belong here? What he also fails to mention in the interview is how sky high housing costs would plummet if the 30-plus million were to begin to leave. Apartments and homes would be vacant, and rents would drop precipitously, favoring low-wage Americans. Thompson says he's "afraid of what mass deportation would mean to the economy". It would be A BOON!! Instead of the slave labor we now have, employers would have to pay a reasonable wage (as they did prior to the Invasion) and many out-of-work Americans would be lined up for those jobs! It's already been proven time and time again after the raids on the meat-packing plants in the Midwest.

-His ties to Bush and the RINOCRACY. Bush operatives are in his inner circle.

-His vowing to continue the war in Iraq which the American public is tired of and against.

-His supposed "conservative record" as a Senator which is anything but conservative.

-His refusing to kill any SPP/NAU efforts made by Bush. Americans want their sovereignty preserved and want the Invasion fr. Mexico stopped!

Conservatives, whether you realize it or not, have been "had" by RINOs Pappa Bush and GW. They aren't coming back to the nest just to cast a vote again for "the lesser of two evils"–not enough of us this time around! Many of us, like myself, will support a true conservative like Ron Paul until or unless he drops out. At that point, many of us will vote for The CP candidate who hopefully will be Dr. Jerome Corsi, a true patriot.

Here are Thompson's remarks to Chris Wallace on the Invasion fr. Mexico in that interview earlier this year:

WALLACE: You also favor comprehensive immigration reform. I want to...
    THOMPSON: No, no, no, no.

WALLACE: Well, let me put up on the screen something that you said last year about illegals, and let's take a look at it. "You're going to have to, in some way, work out a deal where they can have some aspirations of citizenship but not make it so easy that it's unfair to the people waiting in line and abiding by the law."

Now, you said, "Look, it's just not realistic that we're going to round up 12 million people and ship them all out of the country."

THOMPSON: Well, that's true, as a general statement. We woke up one day after years of neglect and apparently discovered that we have somewhere between 12 million and 20 million illegal aliens in this country. So it became an impossible situation to deal with. [Not true! We knew it was happening, screamed blood hell but weren't heard until Rep. Tancredo and the Minutemen Project came along]

I mean, there's really no good solution. So what do you do? You have to start over. Well, I'm concerned about the next 12 million or 20 million. So that's why enforcement, and enforcement at the border, has to be primary. [Well, Mr. Thompson, WE THE PEOPLE are concerned about THE CURRENT 30 million here who are killing, raping, maiming, molesting and committing fraud on U.S. taxpayers!]

I think most people feel disillusioned after 1986 when we had this deal offered to them before, and now we're insisting that, you know, we solve the security problem first, and then we'll talk about what to do with regard to other things — certainly no amnesty or nothing blanket like that.

But figure out some way to make some differentiation between the kind of people that we have here. [Huh? Amnesty? What's he talking about?]

You know, if you have the right kind of policies, and you're not encouraging people to come here and encouraging them to stay once they're here, they'll go back, many of them, of their own volition, instead of having to, you know, load up moving vans and rounding people up. That's not going to happen." [We'll only encourage them to go back if the jobs dry up. And that will only happen when the Feds crack down on the millions of lawbreaking employers here! Will Thompson do this? Not the way he tells it. No mention of "employers" in his response]

    **************************************************

In other words, he's against blanket amnesty–but would "want to figure out some way to make some differentiation..." sounds like another amnesty to me!! There are only two possibilities–either you're for laissez les tranquille (leaving them alone or giving them some form of amnesty) OR you're for arresting and deporting them. There IS no "middle ground" on this issue. Since he didn't mention employer sanctions or ENFORCING the Fed. laws on the books against employers hiring illegals, that indicates to me that Thompson would CONTINUE what Bush is doing–a little enforcement here, and none everywhere else, continued "catch and release" and the continued deaths of Americans at the hands of illegal aliens will continue. I don't think that is acceptable to most Americans. If you read americanpatrol.com, you'd know that we lose 13 Americans a day to drunk driving illegals and another 12 Americans to murder/rape by illegals. Here's what admired Rep. Steve King of Iowa reports:

U.S. Representative Steve King reported that we lose 13 Americans per day to drunken and/or unlicensed illegal aliens. He also reported that we lose an additional 12 Americans per day to murder by illegal aliens, and that 8 American children per day are molested by illegal aliens.

This cannot continue. And conservatives will not rally around a candidate who is not on our side. The LAST thing we need is another RINO in The White House. 8 years of the present one is enough, given the damage he's done.

Why is someone called a kook if they have reason to believe and have heard actual statements from the guy who leased the WTC that they "pulled" building 7. Why would a perfectly good building just collapse? What did he mean by "pulling" the building? A building can't be "pulled" unless there are explosives already in there.

What about the lack of any physical evidence of a jet actually hitting the pentagon vs. a missile hitting the pentagon? Where is the tail and wing damage, where are the engines, where is the debris?????

What a beautiful implosion of two huge, reinforced concrete & steel structures (built to withstand airplane strikes & hurricanes) to powder. How could that happen???? Does that raise any eyebrows???

I have seen the evidence and found the woman protestor guilty of being an irrational nutcase who simply was removed for causing a disturbance among otherwise rational, intelligent, polite and respectful people.
I gave her the benefit of the doubt and reviewed her own comments and video as well as the CNN story and video. All one really needs to know that proves the woman a nutcase is that she believes that September 11, 2001 was "an inside job". My friedns, this proves SHE is no conservative and in fact is so far from conservatism, that she probably thinks Hillary and Obama is a conservative.
An inside job? Do I really need to dish out the facts that totally disproves that ridiculous claim?

This is simply another case of a raging liberal who is afraid of the very real chance of Fred Thompson winning the nomination and hadily defeating any Democrat he will stand against. Just as liberals call conservative radio shows and join conversations on blogs claiming to be conservatives so they can try and fool people, this was all this raging liberal was trying to do. She wouldn't know a true conservative if it hit her in the face. This is the tactics of communists and socialists. A few years ago MOby set out the agenda by telling liberals that they should call radio shows and blog claiming to be conservative and then bash conservatives and their principals. I hate to tell them all, because they simply cannot comprehend this, but Conservatives are not as stupid and gullible as liberals are. We actually think for ourselves and are not easily fooled by the likes of this woman or Moby. She was upset that her tactic did not work and that caused her emotions to freefall into despair and rage. She was probably told all her life that she was "special" and "smart" and "gosh-darnit, people liked her".

She was an irrate lunatic causing a disturbance and that is why she was escorted out of the building. You can hear her snapping at people who, God forbid, touched her in a crowded space. It's as if she was hunting for the opportunity to lash out and make a scene. One rational person near her even tried to calm her down when she snapped at someone by calmly telling her that he thinks everyone is touching everyone in that crowd. Yet, she still snapped at others for "touching her". The poor thing.

Then when she was asked to leave she burst out, like any good liberal, in a fit of delusion and rage and had to then be physically removed.

I say bravo to the police who were respectful in their duties and had great resraint in dealing with yet another lunatic suffering from derangement.

As to Fred Thompson, as a Tennessean who knows his carreer well, he has my vote if he runs.
If he runs, he will be the next American President. And that is what is causing the deranged to come out after him. He has not seen the last of this type of foolish and shameful behavior. Liberals are never satisfied with just supporting their cadidate. They must lash out at their opponenets with anger and rage. I guess it makes then feel better. If that's possible.

    Run, Fred, run.

    Tony,

You should go prove your conspiracy theory. Go hijack a jet, then try to fly it into a tall building late at night. Let's see if it falls to the ground...

I'm actually halfway being serious. Instead of people complaining about conspiracy... PROVE IT... and do it to an old building with an old plane loaded with fuel when no one can get hurt...

Talk means nothing when you can't back anything up! I'm alost referring to politicians here. It's why I will NEVER vote in this country until the system changes so money and greed is not part of an election.
