You can not attack within the Pakistan border without permission from Pakistan and still be allies with Pakistan. That is naive! I'm sure that many terrorists are there. But you have to work with Pakistan as an ally!

Jack, you're right on target. People don't realize that we're playing right into the hands of the radical clerics. The fastest way to get rid of these terrorists is to make them irrelevant.

Sure, go after the perpetrators of 9/11, but they're not in Iraq and they never were. Ron Paul knows this, unfortunately none of the other GOP candidates do.

Here's a good anology: Obama is like Tiger Woods, and the Republicans are the remaining players on the PGA tour.

Today I watched Republican Debate. Everybody say their opinion even it is different. Most stupid political view was Giuliani's. He doesn't have clear political opinion, so only used NY Mayor's case and quoted Democrats candidates for every single his answer, I couldn't believe how childish he is. Also he can't answer about his mistake in debate and he wants to tell to preacher, George's father. He failed marriage twice, failed to educate his own children by family education, how can lead our country? Chinese say "control yourself first then family and then Country". He is disqualified basically.

All good ideas Jack but you are forgetting one small thing.....it's not really about terrorism it's about controlling access to oil....plain and simple we will not leave and put our access to oil in jeopardy.

The Republican candidates (except for Ron Paul) apparently need to go back and study the history of American foreign policy. The covert operation carried out by the CIA in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan created radicalism in the Middle East and incited hatred among the innocent who were victimized. In fact, part of Operation Cyclone (arming and training rebels in Afghanistan to fend off communist influence in the late 1970's) was to train Afghan warriors in terrorist tactics and indoctrinate radical thinking. All this information is openly available on cia.gov yet people have ignored it. The nations the CIA intervened in during the 50's and 60's are the same nations the US is accusing (or accused) of being terrorist states. By extending military intervention in the Middle East the same hatred will be incited with the younger generations. However, at the same time we must not forget that radical clerics and war lords in the Middle East are promoting a message of hate towards the West. Gaining stability in the Middle East will not come through force because that will only facilitate the messages of radicals. Instead the US military should dismantle the multitude of military installations on their soil, remove private military contractors, and remove all military forces because that would remove major motives within the insurgency. These guerrilla and terrorist tactics defeated the Russians in Afghanistan and the Americans in Korea and Vietnam...why have nearly 700,000 civilians (so far) and 4000 coalition forces die in Iraq when the same outcome might follow?

I got razzed for not supporting the last Iraq invasion. Not easy going against the crowd. The crowd is now reversing course and I can feel Ron Pauls support is about to receive a wave of support as people reassess their positions and deeply probe the candidates earlier positions as compared to today.

Hillary Clinton is finally showing chinks in her armor. She not only accepts lobbyist money, she actuallt co=chairs a India lobby seeking to increase the number of H1B-Visa workers from that country while claiming she is pro US worker.

John Edwards has the talent, skill and experience, and hsi is much more transparent in his dealings than Hillary.

Triple Boo for "Dirty Money Clinton."

So if all the Republicans want to fight Al Qaeda in Iraq but not in Pakistan, what does that mean for the war on terror? They are sounding soft on terrorism to me. Perhaps Republican voters will rally behind Obama. Obama is just making a common sense statement, fight the terrorists in their stronghold, and the GOP candidates don't know what to do with it. And Romney seems the softest of them all. So he won't talk to enemy states to try to find a non-military way out of conflict, but he won't get tough with friendly ones if they are hurting us? I think Romney has it all wrong. Obama seems like the only candidate that is playing it straight. Everyone else, Repubs and Dems are doing the political two-step, talking out of both sides of their mouth.
