The New York Times of all papers has recently suggested that the surge IS working and that the situation appears to be improving. This is PROOF that Democratic leaders are not acting in the best interests of the American people. They are so focused on trying to win the presidential election that they are trying to poison the average American's impressions of the extremely important battle in Iraq. THIS will come back to haunt the Democrats in the election because there can be NO doubt now that the Democrats have chosen selfish political interests over the health and well being of the American people.
