Why are is main stream media blocking or boycotting Ron Paul. I am a life long Republican. I am also an Iraqi War veteran and disabled veteran. Is this america or a conspiracy state. He is the only candidate , The rest are all the same. I can't tell the difference between Dems and Republicans any more. I beg you please help Ron Paul save our great Republic. To me my friends and family he is our only and best hope. For our children for our future, we must have a tomorrow . The country cannot go on as is. I beg you in Gods name to support this great american. Restorer of the Republic and last defender of the Consitution.
Sincerely,

I only said Mexico becoming part of this country would be benificial in light of their many social problems. The Mexican citizens are already clammoring across our borders every day. There are more drugs crossing the border from Mexico into the United States. The industrial environmental impact Mexico has on North America is staggering.

If Mexico were part of this country the regulations and controls that govern us would also apply to them. They wouldn't be clammoring across our borders because they would be governed by the same industrial and business regulations we enjoy in this nation. The isolationists and protectionists will disagree but personally I don't see how that could be a bad thing.

The reality is that the two nations will never combine so the premise is more of a jest. I knew it would get a knee jerk reaction from the conspiracy theorists out there so that was kind of fun.

For the person that asked about information regarding Ron Paul's earmarks just do a simple google search. You'll find the Wall Street Journal article dated August 6, 2007 I referenced. There are other sources that cover the same material but I prefer the WSJ.

For the wackjob that thinks I work for the government I have a quote for you off the Ron Paul 2008 Life and Liberty website:

"In Congress, I have authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception, HR 1094."

"I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn."

So yes, Ron Paul is anti-abortion. In his own words he would allow state law to declare abortion illegal without federal interference.

I did get a bit of a chuckle from the Rockefeller comment. It's actually a compliment but I doubt the wackjob who made the comment really knows that. Take off your tinfoil hat and do some research on Nelson Rockefeller. We could use more republicans like him.

You might be right about Paul David. He is best at what he's doing now. The only problem is, there isn't anyone else qualified that is currently running for office of the president. He's really the best choice we have at the moment.

As a libertarian leaning Republican...The whole Ron Paul victim theory is going no where. He can't raise money, he can't show up significantly in polls, he's a bit of an x factor in any party...like him in theory but tired of watching the PETA strategy of attacking all who don't respect "Dr. Paul." FYI...all the Ron Paul supporters who sit at their computers all day and talk about him drive most folks nuts.

Speaking of youtube...youtube Ron Paul and Morton Downey Jr....not presidential but certainly entertaining and a more accurate description of Ron Paul and his cronies.

DAVID ,,

you are obviously a GOVERNMENT neo-CONN or Dick Cheney in disguise , you are not an American, true Americans beleive in the Constitution , Bill of RIGHTs , the right to individual freedom of choice. Property rights , by the way , the fool who said , Dr. Ron Paul was against abortion. His personal veiw is no, having delivered over 4,000 thousand babies into the world, however he is not trying to end abortion, just the end of Federal Government paying for, which in your case( dick cheney) , an abortion would have been a plus, one which i would have picked up the tab personally.

To think that at one time we where the most respected, admirred and yes loved country.

GWB , has destroyed the purchasing strength of the Dollar, he has created more enemies , largest defficit ever, and above all, shredded the constituion, and Bill of Rights. Thats your president DAVD ,, by the way, is your last name ROCKEFELLER !!

It would be nice if more people(mainstream media) actually werent bias and covered real issue like NAU, Trans Texas Corridor, and many other VERY more important issues facing us. thanks for showing a little interest in RON PAUL. For that I thank you , but we need more of him instead of Rudy McRomney and Hitlery. They are the laughing stock and bought and paid for. Fake and dont even get me started on BIG FRED. I may be from Tennessee but I see through his smoke and mirrors. Best of luck to RON PAUL. Let the Revolution begin.

Dave, you almost sounded like you knew what you were talking about, until:

"Besides, I can’t see how Mexico joining the United States could be a bad thing really. They would finally fall under industrial environmental guidelines, labor laws, and the war on drugs might actually have a resolution."

Frankly, there just isn't enough time to tear that statement apart, but I assume everyone reading this can imagine why we're better off leaving Mexico out of the US.

And yes, RP has earmarks. They're not for a bridge to nowhere or for the benefit of big contributors. My understanding is that he votes against them, but I don't know why that makes you question his voting record. If anything, it points towards his consistency.

And yes, RP has earmarks. They're not for a bridge to nowhere or for the benefit of big contributors. My understanding is that he votes against them, but I don't know why that makes you question his voting record. If anything, it points towards his consistency.

That was funny about the blurry picture. haha Oh, oh, I bet Obama and Clinton have high res pictures on the CNN.com websites. haha Funny stuff.

I too am glad to see Ron Paul. I tell you other supporters something cool. The other day on the way to work there were a few road signs that said Ron Paul for President 2008. This is in NW Florida so it's nice to see them before the status quo signs. Sure it's all too soon to get bombarded with politics, but when you're fighting goliath and evil, we've got to plan it all out and fill the world with Ron Pauls name.

Please donate to his campaign. If we can get 1 mil supports to donate $100 each, it'll be a great campaign. $10 would be nice. Let's just hope the TV networks need money bad enough to accept his ads.

My mistake, Congressman Paul. Regardless, the position he holds now suits him better than the office of President.

As far as Dr. Paul's earmarks the Wall Street Journal wrote an article on Ron Paul's stance on a balanced budget. When pressed on the subject of earmarks Paul admitted to requesting nearly $400 million worth of federal funding for programs in Paul's Texas District. To answer your question specifically the bills were not passed. Ron Paul voted against the bugdet that contain his own requested pork. That's what makes his voting record suspect.

Ron Paul accuses the WTO of conspiring with pharmaceutical companies to make supplements such as vitamins available by prescription only in the United States. This is posted on Dr. Paul's website. He uses examples of European countries that already have this restriction. The problem is that the data is from 2005. In the last two years no discussions have taken place to require supplements available by prescription only in the United States. He also makes the statement that altenative treatments could be banned in the United States. Now you might agree with his views but I call Dr. Paul's view alarmism. I can grow rose hips in my garden that have more vitamin C in them than I can buy in pill form anyway.

Ron Paul opposes every international trade agreement that exists. I'm not a great fan of NAFTA but Dr. Paul's idea of withdrawing from any organization and trade deal the infringes on the freedom of the United States is extreme. Ron Paul justifies his argument with NAFTA's supposed superhighway through the United States from Mexico to Canada. The reality of Mexican truckers on U.S. roads is that they must comply with U.S. drug and alcohol requirements. The Mexican drivers must follow the same driving hour restrictions U.S. truckers comply with and must maintain driving logs. The Mexican trucks must also undergo a safety audit by the FMCSA. Dr. Paul's argument that NAFTA infriges on United States abiltiy to enforce its laws is as suspect as his voting record.

Besides, I can't see how Mexico joining the United States could be a bad thing really. They would finally fall under industrial environmental guidelines, labor laws, and the war on drugs might actually have a resolution.

The guy has some good points but he has some very extreme opinions that puts him of the edge of becoming a wingnut. You vote the way you want. I'll vote for what I think is best for the nation. Paul is best at doing what he is doing now. President of the United States is beyond his scope of qualifications.

David - Make sure you get your information first hand. Ron Paul isn't a conspiracy nut as some say. He's is worried (and reasonably so) that the current administration is attempting to provoke Iran into a conflict. That's not outside of mainstream thinking.

As you pointed out, if you want a president that’s satisfied with how our current government operates then Ron Paul is not your man.

If you think our government is too bloated, secretive, invasive, irresponsible, etc... and you want to restore our constitutional democracy, then Ron Paul is your only choice.

For David: Dr. Paul is not a Senator and never has been. As for Iran, have you forgotten how the invasion of Iraq was orchestrated? No secret planning needed.

Loaded the budget with pork? Please quote the bills that he passed that were loaded with pork for Texas or anywhere else.

His views on the WTO aren't alarmism. They are economic and sovereign. He wants us out for the benefit of the economy and the sovereignty of the U.S.

Won't work with other countries? He is for extensive trade and peaceful relations with all countries.

I think you are referring to a different candidate. You certainly aren't referring to Rep. Paul.

You Ron Paul supporters got me chuckling. Thanks for that. I particularly like to posts from people pretending not to know him.

Ron Paul has some very positive aspects to his campaign. He is anti-lobbyist, which is refreshing. He is staunchly pro-life to the extent of proposing legislation to over turn Roe v Wade, which doesn't bother me one bit. And Senator Paul advocates a stronge border patrol, which anyone with at least half a brain can't argue against. Strong border protection was the loud outcry of U.S. citizens during the immigration reform debates.

What worries me about Senator Paul is his views on the world as a whole. Dr. Paul has made vocal assumptions about the United States orchestrating some type of "event" that could be used as an excuse to attack Iran. That's giving Dubya WAY more credit than the man deserves. The volume of secret plans necessary to pull something like that off is astronomical. The administration can't even keep their surveillance programs secret. Ron Paul's views on this topic worry me. I would not want this man as Commander in Chief of the U.S. military.

Ron Paul has voted against extreme budget spending. What is not publicized is that Ron Paul help load up the budget with earmarks for his own district in Texas. He then makes a public vote against the budget he helped load with pork. This action makes his voting record on government spending a bit suspect.

Dr. Paul also has pretty extreme views on the WTO which I'd invite anyone interested to explore. Some may agree with his accertions. I find his views to be knee jerk alarmism.

I applaud Senator Paul for his convictions. He has some very strong points but I don't think he would make a very good president. The President of the United States has to have the ability to work within the government of the United States. The President also has to have the ability to work with the governments of other countries. We have already seen the results of a President who is not able to work well with others. We can't afford to have another one.

I believe Dr. Paul has already found his calling. He serves the people of the Unites States well as a Senator. It suits him. I feel comfortable having him in this role. I wouldn't feel comfortable having him as President.

"How can Ron Paul protect our “liberty” by allowing government to dictate what medical procedures a woman is allowed to have???"

Well, here's the deal. While Dr. Paul takes a pro-life stance when asked, he considers abortion law to be an issue for the STATE to decide. This means, when he is president, his view on the issue will be irrelevant.

Some candidates make this issue their top issue because it's divisive. Ron Paul knows this country has much bigger problems than abortion law and I can't imagine his administration will be side tracked by it.

I, for one, am pro-choice and an Atheist to boot, but I support Ron Paul because he understands our nations real illness and has the medicine we need.

When people learn what he stands for, the race will be on.

More Ron Paul news please! He's certainly the candidate the founding fathers would have voted for.

You know I am all for giving any candidate, including Paul, more media time except that when you give it to Congressman Paul you have to put up with some of these people. How do you spell Congressional Pension wrong when it is spelt for you above? And don't pretend you don't know who he is, you are using the exact same language as every other Ron Paul supporter out there. you discredit your cause more than you help it.

Ron Paul is NOT an isolationist, he is a non-interventionist. He believes, just like our Founding Fathers, that we should trade with the world, but avoid entangling political alliances.

Hey, Susan! You didn't reply back to me in the ethics thread! Come on, girlfriend!

"Earth to Susan!

It’s unfortunate to see that you believe corruption is a partisan issue, only to emerge recently. Corruption will always be around when people have the power to make influential decisions. It’s been around for thousands of years and will continue to remain as long as government remains all-powerful. It’s quite a simple concept, really. Enough of your partisanship. Democrat or Republican, corruption will exist unless we reduce the power that these people have.

Oh yeah, and I hope you realize that the military industrial complex includes BIG GOVERNMENT being influenced by BIG BUSINESS.

You’re breaking up, Susan! Earth to Sus………"

Finally!

But you had to use a faded picture. Ooh, how painful it is to accept the obvious.

Regarding advertising Ron Paul on the ticker, my friend, he is being advertised everywhere. The revolution has started. Soon, you will get tired of seeing his name and his progress.
Please get used to it!

Ron Paul is an isolationist who wants to take us back to the rural 1800's. He is a libertine Republican who hates any kind of government. His "mountain man" mentality would be disasterous for America in the 21st century.
I am all for securing our border but we don't have to get rid of our government institutions to do it. He will not get my vote.

I really appreciate that you are starting to provide fair coverage of the Ron Paul campaign. This sort of journalistic integrity will not go unnoticed. When it comes down to it, I and many others will go with the news network that provides the most factual coverage and is the least biased. Thanks again CNN!

YEA!!!! More Ron Paul. He is the sleeper in this whole race and news media better step-up-to-the-plate and start covering more of Ron Paul. He is, the MAN
GO RON GO
Thanks to Edwards' wife, she has turned me off totally for John as my candidate because I do not want anyone like her in white house as First Lady. So it has been a toss up between Ron Paul and John Edwards but thanks to Mrs. Edwards, and her stupid racist comment, he just lost me so GO RON GO

Ron Paul is the most honest candidate in this race; democrat or republican. I am a 32 year old African American wife, and mother of 4,and Ron Paul has made an impression on my husband and I. I would vote for him given the chance.

I wish that the media would give him more time.

Ron Paul is being shut out because he is a threat to the global elites who support a North American Union and who want nothing more than to erase our borders and abolish our Constitution little by little. If you dont believe me, Google it and do your homework. Just look at the ABC online vote..they say Romney has pulled ahead..?? Ahead of who?? Gouliani? Ron Paul has 39,000 votes compared to Romney's 4,900..ABC should be banned for life for blatantly lying on their own website!!! RON PAUL 2008!!!!!!!!
