It aint about attacking parties, Grow up and do the job and do the right thing. Clinton scares me to death, crazyness, bad morals, decietful, greedy etc.
Only in America there would be a chance for the first woman president with no logical understanding of the world around her. WE NEED LEADERS AS PRESIDENTS. We live in a world that requires new ideologies that can coexist with the government. Religion is obsolete and science is the new religion. Government isn't supposed to tolerate BS, they are supposed to follow there own set of rules the the govenment was founded upon. If a govenrment doesn't always keep the control it is then out of control; and it is. I love my America and I want it back the way it needs to be. Need to be an example for the rest of the world. Do they all forget history? Not giving out handouts to the needy, but fixing the problems so as there won't be a needy populate or as large of one. Onces that will live up to the greatness of many past heros of returning the nobel side of offices. Ones that realize they are writing history to be remebered by other future generations. Clinton is not a leader and what she beleives seems right is not reality of the our problems. She wants to spend funds on health care. To those who can afford to pay for their own. Sad yes, but as important to do right now is bad. We have too many illegals and too much of it would just go to them. The non citizens who don't care about their their own country and surly don't care of ours. I'm speaking mainly of illegal Hispanics. They are hard working good people. We better damn well throw money at fixing immigration first other wise you want to do healthcare and that would be a endless money Pit. You don't fix problems by throwing trees with ink at things. If anybody attacks anything, Help Fix mexico so peole can live there happily and not run off and cause big prolems here. What's wrong with mexico...Fix it. Solve Problems By Looking at the ORIGNS of the problem, not small centralized parts of problems. All problems we face we must attack an origin. If we don't, problem stays and it will cause something worse it is obviously apparent is it not. Our wars in the mid east are fixing origins of torn religious people who do seem to learn from mistakes and live in fear. The mentality will stay, we must keep on the offense in those areas, otherwise that will regroup over time and something will happen like 9/11 again or worse. Will it take another attackun homeland before people realize its permanent untill its finished. We are there for the right reasons. If we pull out, all those brave people envolved will have died in vain becuase selfish people are everywhere. We want our son home!! My dad home!! yeah yeah we know, but you fail to understand the bigger global pictures we are facing much more important over time then now. We are growing over capacity. We all fudge our resources knowing damn good an well we are the casue of bigger problems. Go buy a bunch of stuff and the things you don't need go throw in a landfill. Go on ahead and bury all the resources and drive your car and don't think about how you are killing the world slowly. Listen to the Media, let it distract you from what really going on, what's really important. Yeah! the media knows all, they know all about greed and selfishness and are the finiest example of those things that are not worth a fraction of a second of your time. Who cares about the news. I don't. they are lost as a naked baby in the woods. When everyhting becomes fubar someday it will be all back to Darwinism and we be fighting each other for the things we are wasting now. Go trade a tree that gives you a stable atmoshphere to inhale. Make so stupid symbol on it like its really worth anything. It was really only worth anything when it was a tree. It is a spectacular worth. These words to be read are not at all off the subject, merely everything is connected together. Start living in the real world and leave the confort zone. Sacarafice what you wanted most to do the right thing. We already have too much. We are lucky, now don't be selfish. Be SELFLESS

Mexico is a rich country and is clearly taking advantage of us. We don’t need to deport everyone; all we need to do is take away the incentives for the Mexican immigration flood. We shouldn’t pall pass health care for all children, which is basically an open invitation for all poor Mexicans to flood our country. Our streets are already too crowded

Joe in NC,

"<b>Of all the judgemental things to say…

Also I'm offended by your suggestion that being a single parent is the fault of the parent. "</b>

A little reading comprehension on your part would go a long way.

Go review what was written.

Or here, I'll do it for you.

She said: <b> "Being a mother of two and not married yet to their father, we are currently living on one income because it dosen't work out financially to put my children into day care…."</b>

In that sentence, the term <i>WE</i> is used. That denotes a number greater than one. Hence, your reference to single is moot. And, since the two are co-habitating, being a "single" parent is the choice, at this point in time (Notice the word yet was used, which implies a possible change of status in the future).

"It doesn't work out <i>financially</i> to put my children into day care." The children should be <b>delighted</b> that Mom is at home with them.

Her situation is really no different than mine. We lived on one income (and still do).

I'm sorry that your father died when you were young, a similar thing happened to me except it was my mother. She died from complications arising from childbirth. So, I never knew her.

Don't accuse me of being judgemental, go find a mirror.

The US is invisible alright; and has always been that way for me as long as I can recall. I am due for eligibility as working-class senior citizenship and all administrations have ignored the middle class for many administrations.

Not just one administration! I do not recall any type of health care my entire life! I believe, as Hillary Clinton so aptly stated, that we, the poor, working-class and the elderly have been pushed aside by this administration; plus all previous administrations as far back as President Dwight D. Eisenhower. We ARE definitely invisible to them and that is the way they would like too keep it. Do you really believe things will change just because our administration is about change hands?

Way to go Joe Shepard, Spring Lake NC: August 15, 2007 11:34 AM 2,000,000 PAGES! The Clinton’s in the White House again! Is a disaster waiting to happen! Liken to a nuclear explosion. I will choose the heart of a nuclear explosion over the Clinton’s back in the White House any day of the week!

When will people learn that when you say “The Republicans” or “The Democrats” you are creating a defensive posture by one group or the other and forgetting the issues. Which is what the politicians want. If you blame the President for problems in the country you must also blame the other branches because there is no one branch of our government that has complete control. Hillary and George are “two wings of the same brid”. Not my quote but appropriate.

The dems remind me of another party that I thought I'd never see in this country. The Cummunist party. They believe that everyone everyone deserves the same. This is america. Make your own destiny. The government already takes to much from us. These stupid ideas that I should pay taxes so someone else can come here illegeally and I can pay for there welfare bill is crazy. Maybe we need to seperate the US for you all.North and south is starting to sound right but instead republicians and dems. then you can ruin your own land and please keep your illegeal buddys with you.

As on who served while the other clinton was in office I'm sickened by her!! This war is just a tool to the dems.
Go Hillary!

All GW cares about is money and how to make those with money even richer. It is time to elect a president who is for the American family and make sure that we have stability in this country that this government can not give us.
That is why I support Hillary Clinton because she cares about this country and sees that it is time for a change. I can't wait till she is president so the rest of the country is no longer invisible to her.
She will be our next president that will get things done other than making the rich richer and the poor poorer

Check this out, it is PRECIOUS!

"Christie Vilsack, who with her husband, Tom, the former Iowa governor, was part of the Clinton entourage, spent much of the more than two-hour tour introducing the candidate to familiar voters. But when Vilsack tried to coax 87-year-old Roberta Hindman to come meet Clinton, the elderly woman snapped: "No way. She makes me sick." Another passerby loudly referred to Clinton as "the Antichrist," and a third man argued with Tom Vilsack about whether she would become president, telling him, "I can't stand her."

Sounds like rough times ahead in Iowa for team Hill!

Let's not be blinded. Go look at Bush's record on funding for the VA...cut...cut and cut. So, he sent soldiers to war, was kind enough to show up and have a turkey dinner with them and then cut funding for their medical care when they return home. Yeah he supports our troops, until they actually need something like medical care.

Republicans, reactionaries, and RACISTS all seem to enjoy venting their spleens on any thread with Senator Clinton's name on it.
She'll say/do anything to get elected! they shout, and NEVER offer one single example to support this MYTH.
Blind hatred and bigotry are usually evident to all but the guilty party, so in no way do I expect any of them to change here, but some of what I have read here makes me ashamed for them, as are any other rational, intelligent people, I am sure.

The real,

<b>Don't have health care? No problem ! Your fellow Americans will now pay for YOUR health care because I'll be raising taxes to make that happen for you!</b>

Memo to Hillary:

I'm still waiting to hear WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED in office that qualifies you for the Presidency. Please tell us.

Where does she find all this time to campaign? Doesn't she have a job to do in New York? I'm sure the New Yorkers are excited about having interns run the business while she's out "running for president". Seems to me she should prove she's a great Senator first, before thinking she'd make an even better President.

Chip of Celina OH
Of all the judgemental things to say...
While I agree that having children out of wedlock is not a good idea, the fact is that it happens everyday and the resulting children must receive care. The single parent must work to get money and healthcare, and the child must be cared for in the meantime. If the parent cannot afford childcare, how is he or she supposed to work?
For a party that claims to value all life, you seem content to punish the son (or daughter) for the sins of the father (or mother).
Also I'm offended by your suggestion that being a single parent is the fault of the parent. I was raised in a single parent household because my father unexpectedly died when I was young.

Thought. Instead of making all of those promises, "when I'm President of the U.S.", why not go for it now. You have a Democratic Congress and Senate. Take your best shot. Show us what you're made of. Universal Health Care by Election time, and I'll vote for you Hillary. Simply put, there is nothing she can accomplish as President that she can't accomplish right now.

Be Careful Here: Maybe Hillary knows something the rest of us DON'T. namely, that Georgie-Boy WILL run for a 3rd term as president--he's broken so many laws and ignored the Constitution and Rule of Law, he'll steamroll the 2-term limit (with another of his *signing papers*) and RUN FOR OFFICE/PRESIDENT AGAIN for a 3rd term!! Watch out America!! The nightmare may NOT BE OVER!! In which case, Hillary Clinton may be OUR ONLY HOPE OF ENDING "HELL UNDER BUSH II"!!!

I do not have much faith in the integrity of individuals who achieve the heights of power needed to attain the presidency. That said, I am quite sure that all of the candidates are corrupt. The question is simply which corrupt individual will serve our needs best. I have never allied myself with a particular party, but I find it difficult to vote Republican after seeing the failure of the current administration. Bill's presidency, however, will be remembered as a success. Seeing how his wife is a candidate - and that they share many beliefs - I think it is foolish to not vote for her.

Hilary Clinton obviously doesnt know what shes talking about. If President Bush thought the soldiers were invisible then why would he even bother with having meetings and stuff like that about the soldiers being in Iraq thats all I've heard about in a while so how could they possibly invisible. And now my grandpa can actually afford his medications now. I hope everyone else knows how bad Hilary would be for our country.

HillDog is making a partisan point, and scoring points. Even thought the White House is getting involved to defend itself, it really is just fanning the flames here. The White House needs to stay out of the Democratic 2008 Primary contest. And HillDog needs to mind her rhetoric if she really intends to win the Democratic primary, cause regardless of what she or the Dems deem the truth, she needs to win over independents, and probably some Republicans to be president. Imagine though: President HillDog, it's pretty catchy, I guess.

"Being a mother of two and not married yet to their father, we are currently living on one income because it dosen't work out financially to put my children into day care...."

So, you're gonna vote for the person that will take my money out of my pocket to pay for what you've chosen to do?

I empathize with your situation, we struggle sometimes to make the bills and have a few bucks left over but never expected anyone else to pay our way. My wife stayed home with our kids because we thought we should raise them and instill our values into them and not pay someone else to. That's one reason you have kids.

Its so outrageous that some of these right wing wacos are blaming Hillary on her campaign speeches. Hillary in her speech has blamed Bush's policies (not Bush personally)and to those hopefuls who still support him. Look at Bush's records: 1)Erasing Clinton's surplus 2)Attacking a sovereign country unilaterally who never attcked us 3)Falsely telling american people that Saddam has a link to 9/11 4)Spending 1 trillion taxpayers money on endless war which benefitted comapnies like Exxon, Haliburton (Cheney connection) 5)disregard constitution 6)illegal wiretapping 7)mismanagement in Katrina like disasters 8)politicizing justice dept. by appointing lawyers from 3rd grade schools 9)using executive priviledge to pardon Libby (who exposed CIA operatives)in order to protect Cheney and Rove 10)making a big mess in health care which is benefitting insurance and pharmaceutical cos. big (seniors still buy from Canada)11)allowing power companies to pollute by saying that global warming is hoax 12)non funding stem cell research on the pretext of religion and faith while not caring for thousand innocents who die on this useless war 13) creating fear amongst americans in the name of terror and on and on.......
Can these idiots come up with one achievement of Bush's 7 years in power? Hillary has atleast tried to bring in universal care for all the americans, but these wacos haunted her all along. Yes Clinton lied under oath! But, that is to protect his family from personal ebarassment. But, this administration has lied to american people and literally squandered trillions of taxpayers money, and precious lives. If that money had spent on american people, there would not be 42 million uninsured, and millions of homeless due to Katrina like disasters. If you don't admit that these policies were wrong, go ahead and rubber stamp another republican who still supports Bush's policies.

Why do so many people assume it's the government's responsiblity to handle child/day care or health care? This country is being suffocated by those who do not understand the difference between and right and and entitlement. You do have a right to health care, but you are not entitled to get it free. Everything costs money. Someone must pay for it. Pay for yours and I will pay for mine.

-Be sure to send your Social Security Check to me then...

JUST ONE MORE REMINDER. . . .Hillary voted for the war. . . .the public approval to go to war was in the 80%'s. . . . and I am sure someone will say we had bad info. You are right, we ALL had bad info. It is really easy being a Monday morning quarterback. Oh ya, and Bush is an awful President. Move on! This is a new election. There will not be a Bush running. Just as Carter didn't represent ALL democrats, Bush does not represent all "R"'s. God we need a thrid party! Or better yet, let's remove all labels (no R's or D's next to someone's name)and force people to listen to the positions on issues. It has become almost like a sporting event. . . if your team isn't in power make sure the team in power fails so, next time you will be in power. Messed up politcal system!!!

What planet do you live on? Have you ever lived through a U.S. political season? That's the way it is--always--no matter which party is in power.

I am surprised Hillary thinks she can win, I am a really good judge of character and I really dont like her, she eminates smugness. Just makes my skin crawl. And I am really starting to like Joe Biden-my gut reaction to him was very strong. But I need to do some more research yet.I kinda like Obama but I think he's missing something-havent put my finger on it yet.I also like John Edwards-i think its between him and Joe Biden in the democratic arena-i hope one of them gets the nod but doesnt seem like that will happen, who knows.

It really makes me sad to see so many people making negative comments about Bush stealing oil or Clinton being a lying sneak. I know this is just a comment section, but maybe people on both sides should just realize that saying it don't make it so, no matter what political stripe you are.

I think when America goes to the polls in 2008 we are going to think about what this nations government accomplished during the last 8 unnerving years. We are going to seek a person who as President has the entire nations interest at heart. We are going to want a person who is a unititer not a divider, one who is intersted in the fact 47 million are withtout heathcare insurance in the most wealthy country on this earth. We are looking for intellect not stupidity and stubbornness. After all those things enter our minds we will make the right choice, Hillary R. Clinton.

"Some people have selective memory when it comes to Bill Clinton's health care failure - he tried, but was defeated by the Repubilcan controlled Congress, who scared everyone into believing his plan was socialized medicine when it was not. Hillary's only failure on the health care issue was underestimating the republican political machine against allowing anything to happen in the Clinton administration that would arguably be good for the country - all they wanted to do was stop anything good he wanted to do or else the republicans wouldn't have a chance regaining the white house."

Well, the Republicans also pushed (or should I say forced) the much needed welfare reform and tax breaks that Billary gets so much credit for in the 90's.

Van NY, NY:

A) Who are you quoting anyway? I never said a thing about the stock market during the Clinton years, re-read my post genius. Sounds like you're full of hot air to me.

B) How often was Walter Reid being used during the Clinton years? How many soldiers were treated there? One of the main problems with the VA hospitala is that there are too many patients and not enough staff or funding to take care of them.

If you're the commander in chief and you're going to start a war and fill the VA hospitals to capacity and beyond with wounded soldiers, shouldn't you at least make sure the treatment they are getting is up to Par?

This president is a complete failure (much like he was as a businessman).

I will totally agree with Senator Clinton. I suffer from both Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Type 1 Diabetes and cannot get any aid because my wife makes a little over the income limit as a Public School Teacher despite my huge out of pocket medical expenses. I soon will be not covered by health insurance and unable to afford to see my doctors and afford my medications. I did not have this trouble getting the health care I needed when Bill Clinton was in office. It is very disheartening that I am only one of many in the same positition with insufficient healthcare while our country fuels war around the world. Looking around the world it appears that our economy, healthcare, and support around the world is weakening. Thank you Senator Clinton for being so diligent in your efforts to push the issues that really matter here in America and thank you for looking out for the less fortunate.

Why is Mrs. Cinton taking this route, if I remember correctly she and President Clinton happen to be one of the biggest liars and thieves to come out of the White House.

I sure hope Billary wins the democratic nomination as that will ensure a Republican victory.
