Watch CNN's Jeanne Moos report on the upset YouTube snowman.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - CNN's Jeanne Moos spotlights the TV snowman who's taking aim at GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Tom, Dedham, Mass: you are absolutely right once again. Our state is rapidly going down the drain under Patrick's leadership. Vinny: it's easy for Patrick to govern as we are practically one party state now – he said and it's done. Unlike Patrick, Mitt Romney was a strong leader.

And please people, stop bringing up Romney's faith as an issue because IT'S NOT AN ISSUE FOR MAJORITY OF AMERICANS.

Shawnie - Grants Pass, OR   August 17th, 2007 11:06 am ET

Have you noticed how poor the grammar and how unintelligent the bigot comments on this post read? That's because as long as there are double digit IQ's, there will be prejudice.

Jon from Sacramento, your information is correct and your logic is right on, but he won't get it because his opinions are not based on logic or sense.

I Ching, Dallas, TX   August 16th, 2007 8:01 pm ET

BRAVO, Mitt! Stick to your guns. The snowman is a stoner's 15 minutes of fame. It diminishes the debates, and it is oh so boring. CNN, this is a pathetic outcome of your ill-advised decision to inflict YouTube nonsense on an audience who have tuned in for a Presidential debate.

Quoting the Bible, "Thou shall not have any other book than this book!"

Are you refering to the reference in Revelations which says not to "add or take away from this book"?

I'll help you here... the order in which the books of the Bible are put together were not the order in which they were originally written. Hence Revelation (most authorities believe John the Disciple wrote) would have been written long before the writtings of Paul (Romans, Corinthians 1 & 2, etc).

The warning not to add or take away was specific to the book of Revelations – not the Bible. Any scholar will quickly admit there have been a myriad of books added and removed from the sum total of books comprising the bible (ever heard of the Aprocrypha?)

Point is – your misguided on your biblical quote and it's un-American to go after someone simply because they are a different religion. You are aware the 1st Amendment to the Constitution provides freedom of RELIGION, speech, press, and peaceable assembly as well as the right to petition the government?

Twit Romney: Has no Witt!

What a Moron; Opps; please have forgiveness, a Mormon! What is a Mormon anyway? And who on God’s green earth is Joseph Smith? (John Doe?);

I have read somewhere I do recall, and it reads something liken too this. Thou shall not have any Gods before me. Thou shall not have any other book than this book! (Our King James Holy Bible may have been mentioned).

Who Brigham Young?

I did hear from someone once, which was said; I do not care how you bring them, just bring then young.

RA The Framing Wizard   August 16th, 2007 5:06 pm ET

Twit Romney:

It fits him well… He has not a snowballs chance in hell of taking our Presidential seat in our upcoming elections. Our most gifted 5 year old would not fail as miserably as he would as commander and Chief!

Tom - Dedham, Mass   August 16th, 2007 5:02 pm ET

Vinny your wrong, it is up to ALL law enforcement to comply with our laws and all Romney was trying to do was get some additional help to APPREHEND crimaliens. If someone was pulled over for any reason, previously they could not be held even if they COULD NOT PROVE THEY ARE A CITIZEN.

We should just let them go? Oh, it's a federal issue! What!!!!!!!!!!!

Under your beloved Governor, you can't even tell a judge if a defendent is illegal or not, this might as well be a sanctuary state.

Romney did show leadership, but the legislature stonewalled every attempt at REAL CHANGE. Except on his healthcare plan.

It's easier to blame one person than to blame the whole group of career hacks.

Note to Evan Esteves of Florida, what's your problem with me, I don't believe in ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION?

Ted, Sacramento, CA   August 16th, 2007 4:50 pm ET

Maybe the snowman could explain the increase in size `of the glaciers in central Greenland as well as explaining why this is the coolest summer I have experience while living in Northern California for the last 7 years. Oh wait global warming makes temperatures go down, man I am so dumb and naieve. I actually thought for a moment global warming makes sense but I forgot only a scientist is capable of understanding why other planets in the solar systems temperatures have also gone up. Must be all that damn Martian pollution.

Vinny, Middleboro, MA   August 16th, 2007 3:05 pm ET

Tom from Dedham,

It is not the job of the state police to arrest illegal immigrants and Gov. Patrick was right to reverse that. The budget and resources of the state police were stretched thin enough as it was. The failure to control illegal immigration is the failure of the Federal government, not the MA legislature. As a MA resident, are you prepared to have your state taxes raised in order to pay for the expansion of the state police, the costs of detaining, sheltering, and feeding the immigrants while they are in custody, and the expense of taking care of the children of deported, many of whom are born in the US and thus legal citizens that have a right to stay?

Romney couldn't get anything done in MA because he exhibited no leadership skills. Yes, the legislature is a super-majority of Democrats, but Romney knew this coming in as governor. He pledged to work with the legislature, and then he spent all his time complaining about the people in it. His all out effort in 2004 to increase the number of Republican seats in the state house backfired and Democrats actually gained seats.

Romney has no leadership skills and he has no backbone.

Chris, Cleburne Texas   August 16th, 2007 2:54 pm ET

Lance,

Your comments are at best misguided. Your view of Mitt and his LDS faith is skewed and your “facts” erroneous.

Tom - Dedham, Mass   August 16th, 2007 2:26 pm ET

Hey Dulce, just about everthing he tried to do in Massachusetts in regards to changing the status quo of years and years of bleeding heart liberal rule got thwarted by the LIBERALLY dominated state legislature who would override his vetoes because they were, well, bleeding heart liberals.

They protected the hack jobs on the turnpike that he tried to abolish, they fought him tooth in nail over Billy Bulger (another connected hack) and when he wanted the State police to help arrest and apprehend ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, the next liberal bleeding heart Governor reversed that as soon as he came in office.

So the people that say he changed his mind of ILLEGALS are flat out wrong, no AMNESTY, JUST ARREST and APPREHEND.

Bob, San Francisco, CA   August 16th, 2007 2:22 pm ET

xtina from chicago-

So you think the science on global warming is a "far-flung-left-wing-theory"?
Do you believe the earth is flat and only 6000 years old, too?

And to the person who asked if the snowman remembers 911-
What the heck are you talking about? The issue is global warming. I know the single-issue scare tactics are effective on many Republican voters, but this is a new demonstration of absurdity.

Mark, Great Lakes Illinois   August 16th, 2007 2:07 pm ET

Romney supports the war in Iraq just as long as his five boys don't feel it necessary to join. Send someone else's kids.

He will NOT get my vote.

Evan Esteves, Boca Raton, FL   August 16th, 2007 2:03 pm ET

xtina...It's a good thing you live in a Democratic state...And the same for the Mitt Romney fan boy Tom from Massachusetts, you two are hilarious.

David, Salinas, CA   August 16th, 2007 1:43 pm ET

Joel in Florida,

Are you really going to criticise Romney on Health Insurance? Obviously you're unaware that Mitt, as Governor, helped institute 'universal healthcare' for the state.

When asked what the difference between his plan and Hillary's... Mitt's response was, "Mine got passed".

What has Hillary done for the uninsured Americans over the last 7 years in the Senate?

NADA

Jon, Sacramento ~ Ca   August 16th, 2007 1:28 pm ET

"If this guy is ever heaven forbid elected we might as well move back into caves and start making stone tools while singing mormon hymns about how John Smith carved the golden tablets in his basement."

Wow, Lance. Many of your previous posts were intelligent – well thought posts (about Hillary) even though I don't agree with your politics. Why would you stoop to the level of bigotry with Mitt Romney's religion?

Would you make fun of Joe Lieberman because he was Jewish? Kennedy because he was Catholic?

Have the decency to address Mitt's political positions. He's running to be the President – not the Pope.

Dulce, West Palm, Florida   August 16th, 2007 1:15 pm ET

I voted for Mitt when I lived in Massachusetts and will NEVER make that mistake again. He promised a number of things I felt very stongly on (enough to make me vote Republican) and didn't deliver on one – NOT ONE! Now he's flip flopping on views that got him elected in Massachusetts which provided him the stage to run for President. He is the most superficial candidate running.

J Jackson Tallahassee Fl.   August 16th, 2007 1:07 pm ET

Did the snowman forget about 911

Lance, Monrovia, CA   August 16th, 2007 12:48 pm ET

Twit Romney... I love it!

Another rich yokal moron trying to pander to his superstitious base by refusing to accept Global Warming exists.

Of course, he changes his view so often, I'm sure next week he'll be all for snowman politics.

I also understand he's selling his stocks in companies that do stem cell research. maybe when a member of his family gets diabetes or parkinsons or alzhiemers, he'll flip around on that one too and start buying stocks in the companies again.

If this guy is ever heaven forbid elected we might as well move back into caves and start making stone tools while singing mormon hymns about how John Smith carved the golden tablets in his basement.

And no Twit, they don't have the golden tablets in the temple at Salt Lake, and if you're president, they wont let you look at them dude, they're just like your sense of policy and direction...

imaginary.

Michael James -- Illinois   August 16th, 2007 12:34 pm ET

While it may be a bit silly to have a snowman ask a question of a candidate, the question about climate change or global warming or whatever you want to call it is a legitimate one and one that Romney, like all the other candidates for the nation's highest office, should have to answer.

Kudos to the snowman for not accepting Romney's dismissal!

JOEL, ST. PETE FLORIDA   August 16th, 2007 12:28 pm ET

CAN I JUST SAY

TWIT ROMNEY

THE MILLON DOLLAR GOV, FOR WHOM CANT FANTHOM 45% PEOPLE ARE WITHOUT HEALTH INSURANCE

Shawnie - Grants Pass, OR   August 16th, 2007 11:59 am ET

CNN, you'll never diminish Romney, no matter how desperate you get to do it. This article/video is so low-life. You've sunk. How will you outdo yourself next?

David, Gilbert Arizona   August 16th, 2007 11:31 am ET

It would appear from Romney's comment regarding the YouTube debate that he takes himself way too seriously.

He indeed needs to lighten up slightly.

xtina chicago IL   August 16th, 2007 11:02 am ET

If these youtube people would be normal people who ask candidates what they have accomplished instead of some stoner living in his parents' basement asking about some far-flung left-wing theory, maybe more candidates would debate with them.
