Elizabeth Edwards’ problem is just that, SHE HAS NOT CHANGED. She is still the same rude, abrasive person that she was in 2004. We know, we get it. I am sure she has been like this her whole life, and that is fine, except that the American people don’t want this type of person in the White House…President or First Spouse.

It really does matter what sort of spouse our President has. The First Spouse plays a vital role. If nothing else the First Spouse must have class, tact, manners and self control.
Learned? Yes Elizabeth Edwards is learned. Opinionated? Yes, having strong opinions is great. But along with these traits one must have respect for others, a cool head and a healthy dose of common sense, all of which Mrs. Edwards seems to lack.

As John Edwards prospects continue to dwindle, I am sure we will get more of the same from Mrs. Edwards…no change, just more of the same.

And if so, will her sacrifice of not having any tangerines apply to all rooms in the 28,000 square foot mansion they had custom built, including its indoor recreation building that contains a basketball court, a squash court, two stages, a bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms, swimming pool, a four-story tower, and a room designated "John’s Lounge"?

If so, then on behalf of all of Earth's living creatures I thank Mr. and Mrs. Edwards for their sacrifice of not buying tangerines.

Please don't change a thing – you're the closest thing to perfect I've ever seen. And may everything turn out even better than expected for you and yours.

Elizabeth, you sound like a wonderful human being. However, don't rush to early conclusions.

Mr. Obama's fortunes are just beginning to become undone. Keep your ears tuned to that disastrous Ms Obama; who in the last four days has done more damage than a well-conceived strategy by her enemies could have ever hoped for.

First, it's tough to take a cheap shot when you've already been attacked. Second, no one should feel sorry for Ann Coulter even if it was a cheap shot. She's the queen of taking cheap shots and it's the foundation of her career.

Yes, I can see Ms Elisabeth Edwards as a fist lady; but I do not imagine Mr Edwards as President. Maybe as Vice-President.

Ms Edwards is a great help to her husband; mature, careful, in touch. Ms Obama, on the other hand, appears to be making a shooting meteorite of her husband; something that is quickly traveling away from Earth.

I have yet to see other Presidential nominees wives (or Bill) attack others continuously as she has, and I see it as a move with no class.

John Edwards has some good qualifications but this really minimizes his message. You dont see Michelle Obama acting like this.

How true. For years, we've all seen campaigns focus on the good, bad and ugly...not the issues, the candidates. For once, wouldn't it be nice to hear just what each candidate proposes without getting lambasted with "what he did(or didn't do) in the war, the business world to the point that the issues get lost? Color me idealistic, but I don't base my vote on gender or ethnicity. Talk about the issues, candidates, and convince me that your plans and world views are better and more apt to be accomplished than the others. We've had "pie in the sky" far too long.

Wrong. She's the most powerful spouse in the race, not because John created her, because she's passionate and outspoken as always.

The media, of all people, should know this, but the insist that this is a huge change for her. She's always been outspoken and she's always had a good political mind.
