Bill for Vice President?

NEW YORK, New York (AP) — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton tells David Letterman there may be less resistance these days to the idea of a female commander-in-chief, but that the resistance hasn't disappeared entirely.

The Democratic presidential hopeful says she knows "it's a big deal" she might be the first woman president. She says she's running because she thinks she's the best qualified person for the job, not because she's a woman.

In her seventh appearance on "The Late Show," the former first lady said her ex-president husband couldn't serve as her vice-president but joked that "he looked into that."

Clinton also read the "Top Ten List" of tongue-in-cheek campaign promises, including number three: "We will finally have a president who doesn't mind pulling over and asking for directions."
