I can't even imagine what he is going through now battling this cancer and at the same time worry about the well being of his family and children's education. Since he made the sacrifice to serve I think it will be human for us to financially support him in any little way we can by setting up a fund. My prayers are with him and I know that God will help him and his family get through this challenge.
