Er, Chris, I think you got the wrong republican in mind. It's the clown from Ida-ho that caused the fuss. This is one of the better ones as republicans go. Even if you did not agree with his policies, he is as honest and reasonable as they come in the Senate. The GOP could use a few more of their members to act as prudently and professioanlly as Warner.

What a dumb comment above! Warner is one of the last of a very classy breed of Senators, and will likely be replaced by a similarly inclined Democrat like Mark Warner rather than the likes of George "Macaca" Allen or incumbent Congressman Tom Davis, neither of whom can hold a candle to either Warner.

'Bout time...
It is the Old School, pork barrel Politicians Like Warner, Kennedy and their ilk that have savaged the Social Security System, distanced themselves from their Constituents and held the Public hostage for decades...

Evidence? How can it be in this day and age of global Communication via the InterNet that not ONE politician nation wide uses the medium to poll their constituents regarding up-coming issues or legislation?

The REAL shame is that the Fifth Estate has stood by and not raised the alarm themselves...

Instead of forcing him to resign, the GOP should use him as a spokesman for the gay community.
