DURHAM, New Hampshire – Robert Haines, an obscure candidate running for president, was removed twice by police officers from the press room at Wednesday night's GOP debate on the campus of the University of New Hampshire.

Haines was dressed in a cowboy suit and was lingering around the building. On his way out the door he waved.

Brian Lawson, who runs a New Hampshire primary blog, says Haines is a normal fixture on the New Hampshire political circuit.

"He regularly stands across the street from the Manchester City Hall, holding a sign 'Robert Haines for President,' and he normally gets removed from events," Lawson said.

Personally I can't blame the guy. If Republicans supported a wannabe cowboy yahoo for two terms and most of their candidates still want more of the same, why wouldn't he think he belonged there?

He should have been allowed to debate. I'm pretty sure a guy in a cowboy suit could get more votes than Ron Paul.

What is a "cowboy suit?"

Hmmm...just who does this obscure person think he is? Imagine just anyone in America running for President without the benefit of the good old boy network and, I am asuming, no big bucks on his side. Shameful! Whatever was this person thinking of? I can understand why this obscure person was removed from the political scene...just imagine if Americans should get the notion that anyone could run for president of this country...regardless of their financial situation. I am asuming that school children are being told the truth these days...that without money and a good old boy connection...they cannot expect to ever achieve their dream of becoming president.

...and probably the most sane of all the Republican candidtates.

That's pretty funny. I would vote for him, just because of the cowboy suit. Every presidential hopeful should campaign in a cowboy suit. It shows class.

Yeah, America, no longer home of the free unless the party elite deem you acceptable.
