well, there's one more candidate off my list of "might vote for". The last thing we need to do is replace a right-wing Christianist President with a left-wing Christianist.

Thank goodness it's a long election lead-in. More chances for these folks to fall out of 'character' and let us see the REAL person behind the personae.

OK, fair enough, Mr Richardson. You don't want to apologize, no sweat. You are probably 4th or 5th on the wish list of most progressives, so you don't owe the bloggers or the commenters anything. They weren't going to vote for you anyway. Oh, and by the way. I'm reliably informed that God's country is somewhere west of Iowa.

Good for Richardson! Kos and such need to realize that they're pitching opinion and not always is their opinion correct.

Note the articles that get slapped up on DKos and then magically disappear from time to time.

You do realize that if Bush or some other conservative had made a statement like Richardson's, it would be wall-to-wall coverage, 24/7 about the theocracy and seperation of church and state.

What a clown. If Richardson really cared about voters, he would never have gotten involved with politics.

I am not sure richardson understands bloggers=people and people=voters. So richardson you're going to need to care.

Moulitsas once again demonstrates how tone deaf he can be. There is a single candidate who stands out in this campaign as a buffoon, and it's not Richardson. It's Marcos's favorite [...]: John "the Silky Pony" Edwards.

He is in a league of his own when it comes to ridiculous statements and policy pronouncements.

Bill's a good guy. He knows the wisdom of not raising taxes. Too bad he will get lost in the shuffle because the Breck Girl, Osama and Hillary Rotten are larger than life and will dazzle the masses with their slick politicking.

I'm a conservative but I'm really starting to feel for Bill Richardson. He's getting kicked pretty hard by his party – a "buffoon"?

It's rather bleak when politicians that speak honestly (McCain, Richardson, Kucinich, etc) get marginalized and the "players" (Hillary, Guiliani) get the attention and money.

Iowa, South Carolina, and New Hampshire only have extra significance because it has been given to them not because they are any more important then New York, California, or Florida....
