Wow, if that's the only trash that CNN can dig up about Obama, then should there even BE an article here about him?

What's the point, guys? No matter how one-sided you decide to be, people still think he's great.

But go ahead and keep talking trash if it makes you feel better.

Ps- I'd like to know what man isn't "snore-y and stinky" when he gets up from sleeping?

Obama is the hope of the USA, he can change the current image the USA has as a terrrorist nation to one of a human nation.

on top of that he can stop terrorism currently living in the USA.

This woman has such a "ghetto" way of thinking, I am often covering my ears because of the things she is saying. If you think you may have a shot at being first lady, think whether or not Jackie O would have called JFK stinky.

Embarrassing, irrelevant, inappropriate.

Words create and destroy. She can chose to build his image or bring it down... once the image is out there, it can have a life of it's own, and can be pretty hard to change or remove out of people's minds. Are these the images she wants flashing through our minds every time he's in the papers, or on TV?

I hope she will chose her words more carefully in the future.

Embarassing...
and not relevant..
she's doing her husband a disservice by talking about all this nonsense...
If I were Barack, I'd tell my wife to shut it.
She's immasculating him and, worst of all, I think she knows it.

This shows that she is politically naive. His image is warm enough ... it doesn't need her help to make him appear to be humble.

She should err on the side of not having too much lip... if she's a real, confident woman, she can manage that.

As fresh a Obama is, the entire rules of the game are not going to change for them ... she'd be smart to realize that ....

Perhaps she's trying to stoop to the level of the masses, but I think she's stooped too low. I'm all for a woman's right to speak her mind, but I think Mr. Obama needs to sit her down and have a talk with her on this latest blabbering.

For all of the people so incensed at the "non" story... SURELY you saw that CNN has reported on the war today. Surely they have reported on whatever Bush said today. Surely they did their jobs and wrote about things of importance. So, SO WHAT if a 'human interest' blurb was put in there. (its the internet. there are no space limitations...) And for those on that 'same' page that say T.M.I., well... OK, its your opinion, and you are entitled to it. But how many times have we heard about the damned dog Barney, or Socks.... But what is TRULY ironic, is that only one other story had more posts than this one. The next closest "real news" story comments was "35".(this one was at 152 when I entered). So can we all just get over ourselves for a minute with all of this BS faux outrage? PLEASE? (this from a populace with a current president that FLIPS THE FINGER whenever he gets pissed...) At best, its worth a chuckle, an opinion, and them move on with your life. But indignant outrage??? Over this???(can we say over reaction??)

I agree with Jeff of Va. -
sometimes I think the country would breath a bit of fresh air if Hillary or Obama was given the chance. Maybe in four or eight yrs. they will prove the wrong choice. But talk about polarizing - these two both have so many "won't ever" voters vowing against them, neither will be given that chance.

p.s. Are stinky and snorey the eighth and ninth dwarfs ?

If his wife thinks he is so "stinky" that they don't sleep in the same bed, does he have a hygiene problem or is their marriage already on the downhill slide? But, personally, I really don't care how much he stinks. He just stinks as a politician. He will NEVER win the nomination.

I hope those who come to CNN faithfully really do there research. When they say that Obama has a movment, He really does have a movement. He is really setting a new trend in politics. And he is using "the People" and is trully for "the people" The media is really trying to "write history" but we "the people" will always be a part of it. Name one Republican front runner that can pull democratic votes? Not one however if you ask the country which democrate that will pull Republican and independent votes its Obama. And that is the beauty of his campeign. He is bringing "the people" together. That is what a leader is supposed to do, not for the fame but to help people. And I tell you what his resume speaks for it self! Obama 08!!

I have to wonder, like others, why they don't sleep in the same bed. Doesn't sound like it is just because he is in D.C. part of the time. She says:
“We have this ritual in the morning," Michelle Obama told Glamour. "They come in my bed, and Dad isn’t there — because he’s too snore-y and stinky, they don’t want to ever get into bed with him."

she says MY bed, not our bed. Wonder if things are as sweet (tho stinky) as they seem. As several have said, she needs to shut her mouth and think before she says that sort of thing. But I am for Hillary, so it is fine with me if she goes on sabotaging Obama's presidency run.

After reading a lot of these posts, I'm now even more in favor of testing people before they're allowed to vote. Are you kidding me??? Most of you shouldn't be allowed to drive a car, much less vote for the leader of the free world. You're going to let the inane comments of some spotlight-hogging bimbo wife influence who you vote for?? How about trying to figure out just what the Hell Obama's stance is on anything? Good luck finding your way out of that maze

I think Michelle is actually doing her husband a service–she's pointing out that's he's a living, breathing, flawed human being. No one is perfect and if a candidate claimed to be I'd hope this country would have the sense to not elect them!

Michelle cannot successfully humanize her husband to people who won't ever vote for him any more than Bill can humanize Hill to people who won't ever vote for her. The "won't ever" numbers for both of them are too high for either to win a general election.

I am not American. I cannot vote.

Micheal Knox, NLR, Arkansas writes:

"...Michelle Obama is Barack's wife yet you use Ms. and not Mrs.in this commentary, why is that? ..."

Oh, this is really a big issue!!!! Wherever I go in my diplomatic capacity I--and everyone else--use only Ms for women and Mr for men, with no regard to age or marital status. Heads of state are properly addressed according to gender + office, excepting the heads of international bodies, UN, World Bank, Chief justices of international courts, etc. which are addressed as Mr/Ms. More, in my only appearance, as an amicus curiae, at your own USSC I addressed the justices with Mr/Ms + last name just as I address everyone everyone else, including you. And it works just fine.

In the course of the converation, Sir or Madam--no e-- make the addressing easier and more dignified. That is the standard now.

Michelle knows her husband better than anyone. It appears he's an "All American" kind of guy and ladies we talk to anyone who will listen about the same things her spouse does. Maybe it would sound better coming from her if she were a guest on Dr. Phil show?

I am a subscriber to Glamour and these are the sort of chatty, gossipy details that Glamour readers want and expect in an article. In fact, in almost every issue you will find a "tell all" story from a wife or girlfriend of a larger-than-life celebrity, it is a common format for Glamour. But, we Glamour readers understand, while it is cute and entertaining, IT IS NOT NEWS! Why oh why did CNN pick this up?? I am voting for Obama but I was shocked to find this on the CNN ticker. How about talking about Obama's political views, for a change?

According to some rumors making the rounds, legally married ladies can retain our status while still using the prefix: "Ms." If these stories are accurate, we can even keep our maiden names. Also, married women can now own property and pierce our ears without so much as asking our husbands' permission. This is due, I infer, to certain legal changes that may have been made in the last century. I hope it's all true.

George Bush surrounded himself with the best people and the people with the best resumes. Look where that got us. If Barack Obama is not ready, when is he going to be, after 8 years in the Senate, or 4 years as a governor. Or maybe 8 years as first lady. I say he is ready now. Or come to upstate NY and see all the jobs the First Lady promised us when she first ran for Senate. So far it is a big 0.

I think it's refreshing that a candidate for President's wife speaks candidly. I'm a Democrat who's sick of the scripted Hillary Clinton who plans every word and action. I would love to see Michelle Obama as the first lady. She would be much better than having a serial philanderer as the President's spouse and would restore honor to the White House. Bravo Michelle!

I like the fact that Mrs. Obama is frank, honest and 'real'. It shows us that she can relate to us, the real, working, tax-paying, law-abiding folks.
I support Mrs. Obama's candid personality.

"Does this mean they sleep in separate beds? Doesn't sound like a 'real marriage' to me!" Posted By Julie, Helena MT : September 7, 2007 3:20 pm

It seems to me that a married couple can choose their own sleeping arrangements without seeking the approval of those who know what a "real" marriage is. Now, in my opinion, a "real" wife never tell a room of strangers that her husband snores and stinks. I would leave my wife at home in the future if I were Obama. What secret of his will she blab out next?

Wow, if a candidate says the sky is blue and it gets reported, 50% will say it is a non-story, 25% will say their voting for the candidate because he is honest, and 25% will say they are voting against the candidate because we shouldn't let our enemies know what we are thinking.

You are too stupid to be posting anything. This is what you wrote:

"Hmm… I wonder what she'd say to presidents of other countries."

That is just an idiotic comment. She'd be PC just like anyone else.

"I think it's great that she is a normal, every day woman, but personally, the First Lady should be a little more candid when it comes to speaking about her husband, the President." - Nice back-handed comment.

First, you should lookup the word "candid"...you probably should have said less candid, and her husband isn't the President, he's HER HUSBAND, no matter his public title.

"I just don't see her as a First Lady, but that could be because I view First Ladies as those of the past."

Are you 70? My guess, closer to 20. This is the 21st century (in most of the US), get with the times. What First Ladies are you referring to? Maybe Jackie O? Her husband walked all over her.

Perhaps you just need to keep quiet in your little bass-ackwards red-neck college town.

By the way, you should read the actual story -- an interview by Spike Lee's wife. The info about him being snory and stinky was in response to a question about how her girls saw her --as "Mommy".

I'm sure something like this was said about all the Former and the current Presidents by their wives or others that are so close to the I-Cons of a person such as all of these great men. The media chooses to put forth whatever they THINK is new worthy well as usual they got it wrong!!! I have a trusty pair of stinky socks that has always kept my feet warm never fell to slide on in a moment of need... I guess if I listened and believed everything the media says I should go whole heartedly to my laundry basket and put those socks on and never change them... Flip flops on issues no experience on foreign policy too young etc. In this time of all Americans to step up we really need to get it right and if the powers that be is just kissing ass to the huge corporate $$$$ then find a new job and give some other sap the opportunity to make six figures. Just like a neo nazi if we stand by and say nothing when they spew there crap then we are enablers. Media stop enabling and help us uninformed make informed decisions so we can make a bright future for you kids and grandkids. Believe me all the money you make right now will mean nothing if the denomenation is Egyptian or some other islamic state " not that I have anything against Islam " . Sign me up and I'll give you all a run for your money!!! Dems and repubs...
