We even get a link to the "condemnation" story offered by CNN.

And as usual, they lied. Hard put to really justify any claim for honor by Democratic Party leaders, CNN finally drags up a couple "luke warm" objections. One was mildy critical of the "choice of words" in the ad, but would not for a moment object to the content of the ad, in fact defending the organizations' "right" to place such an ad.

Yet CNN pretends there was serious criticism of this despicable ad.

CNN lies, but I guess that isn't news either.

Don't give your loyalty away so lightly, or your trust. I think people have forgotten that they have a responsibility to try to understand the issues and make informed decisions. Faith in God is fine, but that standard should not be applied to our political parties or politicians (or to the Media for that matter)!

Isn't anyone else tired of all this useless bickering?

Turns out most folks are in the 80% that is the middle of the bell curve - why let the 10% left and 10% right extremes throw us into disarray like this?

Let's all find common ground in the middle somewhere. We have way too much work to do to fix our country to keep at it like this. What we're doing here accomplishes nothing but to bring advertising dollars to CNN.

I'm voting for Barack Obama, because I believe he's the only candidate who can stop all this madness and unite us again.

Why do you suppose the citizens of the US threw out all those Republican Senators in the last election and gave control to the Democrats? That was a huge swing in numbers, not one or 2 senators. This was a message, loud and clear, from the American people, to George H W Bush. But he chooses to ignore it.

People are opposed to Iraq war. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and the whole reason for us going there turned out to be a falsehood. They still haven't found any WMD's. How many years has it been?

This war is costing Trillions of dollars – debt that your great children will be trying to pay off. Money that could be better spent on Healthcare, better schools for our kids, benefits and training for all the people who have losat thier jobs to outsourcing and illegal immigration – any number of things. This war is also costing the lives of our young men and women. What's the death toll now, almost 4,000? And how many Iraqi civilians?

Bottom line – 1) The war is extremely costly, in terms of lives and dollars. 2) The reason for going to war was a lie. 3) Iraq does not want us in their country. 4) Iraq does not want a Democratic society. 5) After almost 4 years, Iraq still can't train any troops or put together its own police force or miltary, and doesn't seem to care to try. 6) At the end of the day, Iraq will not become an ally of the US. 7) The Democratic Congress was elected by the people to STOP this war. It is the job of all politicians, right up to an including the president of the United States, to serve the will of the people.

The people have spoken. We want an end to the war. But George H W bush thinks he can do whatever he wants, and ignores the will of the people.

So yes, I'd say this is very clearly a betrayal of the American People, and a clear violation of the oath of office he took the day he became president.

For someone who states that there aren't any easy answers to Iraq, you certainly have a talent for over-simplifying things.

The point of the ad is that the ad is meant to call Dubya to the carpet for misleading us into a war of choice. And, since there wasn't any indication of an Iraqi civil war PRIOR to our invasion, there wouldn't have been any need for us to go there in order to QUELL a civil war. I'm outraged that instead of using ALL of our resources in Afghanistan in order to fight the TRUE enemy, we "cut and ran" to Iraq based on ... you guessed it, fabrications. Hence, the MoveOn.org ad that will be published on Monday.

While there has always been divisivness between the parties, the self-declared "Uniter" and his cabal of incompetents have managed to divide this country to degrees we haven't witnessed in YEARS. This Admuddlestration has managed to alienate most of the country and a large part of it is because they find they have no use for the citizens as they do what they want, when they want and to whomever they want, without regard to what their EMPLOYERS think. It's this Admuddlstrations "my way or the highway" credo that has managed to divide this country.

And, no one is saying the war is a joke – just the people who implemented this war of choice. And, just because there are many dissenters to this war of choice, NO ONE is metaphorically spitting on the troops. We dissent because we know this is a war of choice and we are tired of them dying on a daily basis based on manipulation and lies.

THANK you for bringing up the Swiftboat ads. Can you all PLEASE make a significant distinction between:

1) Swift boat VETERANS that contradicted John Kerry's account and were offended by Kerry's accusations made to Congress as a soldier.

and

2) Moveon.Org (liberal rich kids) attacking General Petraeus who gave a balance report and made his best recommendations. It's up to Congress and the President to make the final call on military orders.

These are clearly two different scenarios.

I have NEVER understood why this country is divided by different political parties anyway. On one hand, we're supposed to be proud Americans - "united we stand, divided we fall" yet party lines are the greatest divider of all. The Pledge of Allegiance claims we're "indivisible" but we've certainly proven that wrong! Here's an idea — forget left wing, right wing, liberal and conservative. How about leading by example according to a high moral code with ethics and justice for all? Forget racism between blacks and whites, racism is rampant between democrats and republicans. There's so much hatred between the two parties, it's sad. I don't think anyone wants to see a war, but you wouldn't like what would be happening right now if we weren't there either. Every time you say the war our brave men and women are fighting is a joke, you're spitting in the faces of the very people that are over there fighting and on the graves of those who have died in the process.

Yeah, because most of the time we would have drafted soldiers instead of spreading the military so thin. This war is being lost by an incompetent President who refuses to put the half a million men we needed into Iraq. The problem was liberals would've prevented the draft in the first place. Apparently the time honored tradition (worldwide) of being called up to serve no longer matters to many in this country. We just here "no war." Guess what, the world doesn't really work that way.

This is a great disprespect for a man that has spent years serving his country. IN ways neither Hillary or Bill ever can.

One thing we can all agree on is our servicemen and women deserve better than being stuck in this quagmire that has no good ending.

Now we are hearing there will be a reduction next year, which is actually the temporary surge. More of the same from the executive branch.

Most of us can understand this was started by a thoughless self indulgent little man who is a spoiled rich dry drunk whose daddy has always bailed his ass outta the messes he made in the past. Not this time and congress of both parties is to blame as well, not the American people who put their trust in these folks.

Myself, I am much more upset that there doesn't seem to be any Democrats out there that have any more backbone than before or this guy in the White House would be facing impeachment. Why? Because they are in line to inherit the Presidents office and all it's expanded power and can't wait to abuse the balance of powers just as the Republicans have. I say vote as many as possible outta their jobs next year of BOTH parties to send them the message that they are accountable for their actions just like you or me.

Enough already – aren't there more important issues to get outraged about? The first MoveOn ad was tasteless – I disagree with the headline of it, but I don't necessarily disagree with the message. This adminstration certainly hasn't given us any reason TO believe them. If you believe that MoveOn's message was that they don't support the troops, nor the war, that's YOUR take and Rudy didn't call anyone out. the point of the ad was that anything that comes out of this administration is suspect, plain and simple.

And, by your implying that the only reason dissenters have the right to protest is because of the Military. While the Military has done their job superbly in protecting us for over 200 years, I believe it was the Founding Fathers who specifically penned this right into our Constitution.

General Petraeus testified that the troop levels should be drawn down to pre-surge levels. Bush is taking the advise of his general. It's public information. There is no betrayal.

That sort of takes all the wind right out of the Moveon.org ad.
