I am looking forward to Giuliani's two former wives start chatting. His kids don't endorse their own father. If I were you Rudy, and I'm glad I'm not, watch out for the glass when your house comes down. Most of us remember you made the cover of every rag sheet in the country. That is your legeacy. Wait till they begin surfacing again as you humiliated the Mother of your children!

I have yet to run into one person who admits that he/she is for Hillary.

Well, come to this part of the country and you'll meet plenty of Hillary's supporters. Do you perhaps think that her consistent lead in the polls is just a figment of the pollsters' imagination???

In what world is a person's inability to recognize a mistake and fix it an enviable trait?

I would hope our next president can admit when they were wrong and change course when needed instad of just yelling louder and ignoring reality. Clinton bought into the Iraq lie just like half of America. Now that the truth has become clearer, she has adjusted her position. The last thing this country needs is another president who can't detatch ideology from reality.

Dawn from MD exemplifies my point exactly...she sits in the comfort of her home in MD and places her stock in the opinions of oft biased journalists and pundits, who are thousands of miles removed from the situation, instead of the judgements of professionals who are physically located there everyday.

If Dawn had spent the last few years on the ground in Iraq working alongside General Petraeus, her position might merit serious consideration. However, basing her position on what the Washington Post says is mere punditry.

It perfectly illustrates a more alarming problem we have in this country: Americans generally place more faith in what the media reports to us than in what the ground truth is.

Rudy questioning anyones veracity falls a bit flat. I wouldn't start the ole flip-flop gambit if I where him. She never flip-flopped on who she was married to. Honking your secretary and claiming some kind of moral elitism just won't work Rudy.

Rudy Giuliani can blast all he wants to at Hillary Clinton but it will not do much good.Giuliani will go down because of his failures in his personal life and the disaster he create on 9/11.I.E:You do not locate a city emergency offices in an area already hit by terrorist a few years before(World Trade Center). You do not let the police and fire departments radios and other equipment get so out of date that when they really needed them on 9/11 they didn't work. How many fire and police persons died on 9/11 because they did not get the radio messages to evacuate?
And why should anyone vote for a man who cheated on his wife for years and married his mistress? For a man who's own son will not back or vote for his own father. There are reasons America why no republician should be the next president:9/11,Katrina and Iraq are only the tip of the treasonous reasons why the republicans should not win the White House.

How do I know that Petraeus is lying? Actually, I can't be certain: he may just have no idea whatsoever that his methodology for assessing violence in Iraq is completely cockeyed. For example, he may genuinely believe that whether Iraqis get shot in the front or the back of the head is a GOOD way to decide if they are victims of sectarian violence. You know who else thinks Petraeus can't count? The Washington Post: read their article on Petraeus' flawed assessment BEFORE you vouch for his integrity and/or accuracy.

I would like to see some real service from our nation’s top servants. When did all this get turned around? Let's get back to the point that from our nations top governmental positions we the people are served by individual that serve us with leadership skills. It just appears that most are taking the stand that they are leaders. I am tired and many in out nation are tired of the false front that serves a personal agenda. We need real service not career politicians that are willing and do sell themselves with false empty promises. Politics is big business and we the people suffer from that. Our rights are systematically diluted.

As much as I despise Rudy...I have to agree with him in this case in that Hillary is the ultimate opportunist:

She tests which way the wind blows...win war is popular she jumps on the war hawk bandwagon. When anti-war sentiment is more popular she changes her stance.

What is even worse is she has made contradictory statements recently about keeping as many as 50,000 troop in Iraq indefinitely. So truly she is having it both ways and lacks credibility. If you vote for her, you don't know what you're getting.

Whereas with Obama, Paul or even the war hawk...you know exactly where they stand.

Why did CNN delete my post of 8:30 this morning? I thought it to be mild by any account. I simply said that Mr Giuliani does not only have a political issue with Ms Rodham Clinton; but also in general with women, given that he is now on his third wife. Did perhaps his former wifes die? If they did then I apologize.

Don't be fooled. This idea was given to him by Sean Hennedy on air. I wonder why no one is talking about it. Rudy can't think for himself. We now live in an America where a Senator can't question a policy. Rudy should learn about Government 101.

Bush betrayed us. Paetreus was under orders from his Commander in Chief, and lied to us, as ordered.

Giuliani, McCain and these other censorous fascists are the ones to throw the hell out of the country.

This is free speech land. ESPECIALLY when that speech is truth.

The Joe McCarthy smear crap won't work this time, fearful Repubs.

This is what Hillary said prior to the liberation of Iraq:

"If left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. He has also given aid, comfort and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. So it is with conviction that I support this resolution as being in the best interests in our nation..."

What is she saying today?

What will she say if elected?

One really never knows.

It's downright scarry reading comments from Americans who say they will vote for Giuliani or Thompson!!

Why not just vote Bush back in and relive the last eight years all over again!

A vote for Giuliani or Thompson could only be likened to another victory for Bush or a vote for Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone.

What are these Americans thinking? Do you put no value in Leadership Qualities, International Diplomacy, Experience, Truth, Justice, Morals, the American Constitution, America's Image?

Then there are the Ron Paul supporters!
More Scarry! The man looks so frail I doubt he'd make it through his first year of Presidency. Of course he won't have to worry as there is NO chance he will be nominated!

Thank God these Americans don't come even near to being a majority! Our World is frightening enough

To all the believers of Moveon.org's unjustified attack on General Petraeus:

Why do you choose to believe an organization who justified their attack on an individual, who is mandated by law to conduct his duties in the best interest of the Nation and free of political bias, based on opinion polls and biased op ed articles?

Don't you think the assessment of a professional Soldier who has spent several years on the ground in Iraq working directly with and against the major players in the region holds some weight over the opinions of partisan journalists (who get their information from second and third hand sources)?

How do you know General Petraeus is a liar? Have you spent a few years in Iraq and worked with their government or been on a patrol in Sadr City with the ISF or a humanitarian mission in al Anbar? I doubt it...you base your opinions on the information other people, who may be biased, provide you.

I think people who believe in Moveon.org's attack are instead blinded by partisanship and their dislike of the President. They mistakelnly equate General Petraeus with the Iraq policy, instead of the man charged with carrying it out (whether he agrees with it or not).

Rudy Giuliani was correct in calling out Moveon.org for this unjustified attack.

One thing all of you are over lookin. Senator Clinton, yes I addressed her as Senator Clinton. She has a title. Gee You Want Any does not. No experience at all in running our GREAT NATION, much less the free world. Any how Senator Clinton is not moveOn.org. She didn't place that add. Nor did she place the one about Thompson, again no title, unless of course you include former (why former?) about the cuban suitcase thing. I follow Senator Clinton very closely. Have listen to many speech and read many articles. She doesn't come out and condemn GEE YOU WANT ANY, or any of the others, she doesn't have to. As for General Petraeus, What was wrong with her questioning the General. That is why she was elected into her role. If she didn't keep him on his toes than she certainly is not doing her job. Oh I know if you don't do it the Republican way you are less than human. Well guess what Republican party watch the revolving floor as you all fall through it. I just hope you do not take the rest of us with you. For us Democrats We love our neighbor as we do our own. We believe in Unity and Freedom for all. Including the Americans. That one is for President Bush. See in Respect us Ture Democrats show it. Replace the Republican Party---Governor Swarts of California (s.s) He has seen the light at the end of the tunnel.
This has spun and spiraled out of control and we're 14 months away from the general election!

The original problem was that Sen. Clinton in a convoluted coin of phrase at the hearing basically called the General a liar with her "suspension of disbelief" comment. Was that really necessary. Did she have to give such a critical opening statement? If she were TRULY presidential she would have stayed above the fray and gone straight to the questioning. While doing so, she could have asked some hardball questions and listened to the responses and try to use the information.

Instead, she had to grandstand and throw in a snide remark to try and discredit the general and take a shot at the administration.

There is no doubt that the next president of our country will at some point have to deal with the Iranian and other middle eastern entities. Having lived in a Muslim country for a couple of years earlier in my adult life, I can tell you that as a woman, she will go into ANY negotiating session with middle eastern leader already having a strike against her because of her gender.

Will her tact suddenly improve? If she lacks respect for one of our own trying to accomplish the mission set forth before him, how will she do in the big leagues. She has every right to not agree with that mission and to question its effectiveness, but to insult your counterpart prior to asking them for information is not a good plan.

Giuliani is the guy that exploited 9/11 and the NYC police and fire departments for his own personal and political gratification. The NYPD and NYFD now realize that they made a terrible mistake in supporting Giuliani.
Many Democrats that were completly misled and lied to by Bush and his cornies mistakenly voted to support the War in Iraq but when they they finally learned the truth about the lies and deception by these thugs and criminals in the whitehouse, they quite honestly changed their minds about this war and denounced this war and this administration.Hillary was one of the first and most vocal to call out the President and has fought tirelessly to stop the most disasterous foriegn policy decision in our history!
Giuliani is just another Republican PUNK that talks about the ethics of others while practicing none himself.
You want to know about the REAL Giuliani?Jut ask the NYPD and the NYFD!

Rudy Giuliani has had successes as a Mayor of NYC and US Attorney. This is undeniable

Gen. Petraeus is a highly decorated and respected Military Officer having served us and both Republican and Democrat administrations.

Hillary Clinton has no comparable experience(except blowing hot air in the Senate) and thinks she can simply ride the coattails of her highly successful husband....ain't gonna work.

I would love to vote the Dems their
turn in the White House(I voted for Bush and he totally screwed up.........Democrats must find a more qualified candidate.

It's quite interesting to note how Hillary Clinton did not respond to Guilliani's attestations that she Voted for the war in 2002 but has now changed her mind for the sake of political expediency.

I also wonder how many Americans have realised what a bad attiude that lady has. I wonder why she is so proudful. And they do say pride comes before a fall.

For some of you who have posted here, would you please check your spelling and grammar before venting your anger? Could you try to spell correctly and punctuate your sentences correctly so that people can understand what you are trying to say? Writing badly does not give your comments any credibility.

A few weeks back people were questioning why Hillary was going after Bush so much. The response from all the Hillary lovers was " she is in the lead, why would she go after other dems lower in the polls". Now Guilliani is ahead in the polls, he goes after Hillary, and all the dems scream foul. Typical. And by the way, for those that want out of Iraq yesterday. . . when we leave, are we responsible for the deaths of all of the non insurgents? When 500,000 innocent Iraqi civilians die, will you change your mind and want to go back in? Think about it. People say they want out, but NEVER address the consequences of leaving.

When a Republican changes his political position he is just "evolving." When a Democrat changes theirs, its a flip flop.

Democrats are supposed to step away from "Move-On" but its fine and dandy for the Republicans to party with the Swift-Boaters.

GOP hypocrisy at work - as usual.

I support the MoveOn.Org ad. I am a member of MoveOn.org. I am a liberal Democrat, not a "radical," and I am not voting for Hillary. That should tell you something right there.

The ad pointed out that Petraeus was working for the Bush administration, had previously spoken out in favor of Bush policy, and was essentially on a p.r. campaign for the surge. The ad also pointed out what everyone knows -- see Paul Krugman's column in today's times -- which is that the surge has failed.

Clinton's problem with liberals is not that she changed her position on Iraq, but that she did so without ever repudiating her original support for the war. She and other Democrats backed Bush, and did so not because they thought he would behave responsibly, but because Democrats were concerned that, if they opposed him, they'd be accused of being "soft on terrorism." It's ironic that Giuliani is trying to "swift boat" Clinton by calling her a "flip-flopper" AND a "radical." The problem for liberals is that Clinton was insufficiently "radical" in 2002 and has yet to acknowledge her mistake.

Finally, Giuliani's attack on Clinton was aimed at undermining Fred Thompson, his competitor for support from the Republican base. Thompson has attacked Clinton -- he's running as the "anti-Clinton" -- and Rudy followed his lead, hoping to prevent him from making in-roads among conservatives. This is not about Clinton -- at least not yet.

As for MoveOn -- if the public had listened to MoveOn in the last election, we'd be out of Iraq by now. People continue to react emotionally to stupid rhetoric rather than looking at the facts. Krugman reports today that Bush's cronies are buying up oil in Kurdish areas of Iraq, apparently in anticipation of a partition. They know something we don't want to hear, and they didn't find out what they know by listening to Giuliani's political tirades. That should tell you something, too, about who is "betraying us."

Not that I'm for Hilary Clinton as a canadite, but what Rudy just did on his website, publically humilating one of the other canidites, is plain childish, and he has no support from my family, for making statements like this. Its just pathetic. Why her? Why not Obama, or Edwards? Because she's a women standing her ground? It was very wrong for him to put that in an ad of his, feelings such as this should be kept to ones self! He will only loose in the end anyways. And besides questioning a top general about this so called war my husband is over fighting for are questions we would all like to know!!! I mean really how many guys have been killed so far over there, that the goverment has just covered up and lied about?? Who really do we trust anymore???

Giulani cannot focus on important issues at the present moment because he is constantly dropping in the polls. The more he attacks Hilary, the stronger she will become because she is smart, intelligent and she is about changing the country for the better.

I am a conservative and supporter of the current administration. We will be electing either John McCain or Fred Thompson.
We have to continue the fight in Iraq becuase loosing now means fighting an emboldend group of terrorist in the future who, will be better armed, better trained, and will want to kill americans regardless of your political view. My brother is doing his third tour in Iraq, hes been wounded twice, has a son about to be born back here, and you could not pry him away from a war that his fellow soldiers died in, trying to fight for the democracy for the people of one nation, while less than half of their own country is behind them in their efforts.
The only thing that Bush has done wrong , is not explain to the American public that we are going to have to keep 100,000+ men in that region (Iraq, Syria, Afganistan, and yes of course Iran) for the next decade, in order to keep the U.S. and our ALLIES from attack.
If you really get right down to it, it would probably not be the best time to elect a democrat to office. After what Ive seen from liberal groups like mvon.org, I would be frightened by the thought of anyone in that organization thinking they knew how to protect us from a cold, much less the enemies of America today.
Maybe you lefties should try SUPPORTING your countries efforts in Iraq and then the terrorist would not know there is a part of the American populus they can easily use as pawns in a propaganda war against us. I wonder what party the terrorist want to win in the next election? Liberals are making it possible for them to vote!

Giuliani is not dropping in the polls. The average of all the polls still has him far ahead of the other Republican candidates. Thompson got a little bump when he finally announced but that will disappear just as fast as it came.

He is right to attack Clinton because she is wrong on national security, wrong on healthcare, and wrong on illegal immigration.

Ahhhhhhh(loud sigh), it's only September and I already have campaign fatigue. It's going to be hard to have to hear Rudy screech against Hillary, and probably Thompson, for months to come. What you all are seeing is typical Rudy behavior, demonize the opponent no matter what and the heck with the truth. Rudy is a one note candidate, he'll repeat "9/11" until we'll scream for mercy!!! It's going to be a long 14 months.........

Is everyone on crack. Petraeus is a lifelong republican hack and towing the bush line. He's basically a traitor who supports and illegal war based on lies to the American public. In a true democracy he would be on trial for war crimes. MoveOn didn't go nearly far enough. It's time we all start dealing with the truth and get these con men republicans out of office and into prison. Giulian belongs in jail for life for his incompetence on 9/11

It is amazing to me that Hillary's campaign doesn't come back by dismissing Guiliani as a man who:

claimed he did more work at ground zero than real rescue workers, while he was really spending more time at Yankee Stadium;

put NYC's emergency response center in the WTC after it had already been attacked once in 1993 and against the advice of everyone in the security business;

failed to provide the communications needed by fire and rescue workers that would prevented many deaths during the attack on the WTC on 9/11;

and tried to get his criminal partner, Bernie Kerok, put in charge of the Homeland Security Department.

Hillary has changed her views on Iraq. I prefer Barack Obama. Still, whenever any Democrat is attacked by this pretend leader, that candidate must step up and, instead of just defending themselves, HIT BACK.

Ultimately, it's the Dem who does that best who I will vote for when push comes to shove. Why? It's the only way we will win in '08.

If we Democrats elect Hillary as the nominee this is what the General election is goona be about.Since shes running on his experience and accomplishments she has to take the good with the bad.
1.Bills Infedelities (you know the names.)
2.Bills failure to capture Osama bin Laden, after having several chances.
3.Her invovlement with Whitewater +all the other so called scandals
4.Her decision to vote for the Iraq War
5.Her lack of judgement And her speach made before her vote saying Iraq and Alqaeda had connections, though that very report she didnt stated clearly no connection.
6.Norman Hsu
7.Lincoln bed room and all the other money fueled scandals.
8.Allegations she hired She has so much Private Investigators to harass bills girlfriends
Hillary has so much baggage by Nov independants and moderate repubs are gonna be so turned off theyll vote for the independant candidate or the republican.
I hope im wrong but i know im right. And you Know it as well.

Clinton has INDEED changed her views according to what's popular. I was once a supporter of her but not any longer. This is far from the first time she's done it and I've heard and seen enough.

The Democrats and Move on have resorted to childlike name calling when they disagree with a persons views and opinions. This is the worlds stage you are playing on not a schoolyard. How about a little maturity and class? Seriously, calling the General or the President a liar because you do not agree with them does not, or should not help your stance. If you have facts then present them to the public. Based on the
merits of those facts the public will decide. Keep the name calling to the 6th graders.
