WASHINGTON (CNN) - Note to presidential candidates: When seeking a union's endorsement it helps to get its name right. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson ended an address to the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) Political Action Conference in Washington Monday by saying "Thank You AFSCME.” AFSCME is the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. But it's easy to see why Richardson may have been confused. Both unions are roughly the same size (between 1.3 and 1.4 million) and are very important for Democrats who are seeking their party’s presidential nomination. – CNN's Xuan Thai and Alexander Mooney Filed under: Bill Richardson
