Unlike most politicians (Bushes, Clintons, & most of the other government sloths), Cheney is actually competent. The guy ran a major corporation & actually possesses some managerial & administrative skills. All these other politicos are just a bunch of wind bags that have never really produced one job or met one payroll.

Cheney got FIVE, count 'em FIVE deferments to avoid serving in Vietnam when Joe-on-the-street could RARELY get ONE deferment. Yet he eagerly sends our troops into battle as pawns for his own empire building and ego....sounds like Darth Vader to me minus the courage to actually take part in a battle.

Let's have a little perspective, folks. Name-calling might not be a respectable tactic, but injecting some light-hearted humor into a political campaign isn't a bad thing either. I enjoyed the video spoof of The Sopranos the Clintons made, I enjoyed Giuliani's joke about Thompson doing a good job with "his" television role, and I enjoyed this as well.

The future of healthcare, the future of Medicaid, illegal immigrants, a soaring national debt, when and how to pull troops out of Iraq, what to do about Iran, about Hamas, about al Qaeda... and a Darth Vader joke.

If we Americans are going to define a Darth Vader joke as a significant presidential campaign issue (and we've got 90 comments and counting on this story!) then America is in sad shape indeed. I don't mean to be insulting but after just listening to Bush on CNN spout his ridiculous realities on the many issues put before him, it's time for Americans' to get real serious about electing your next President!

He just stated that his IQ level on economics was 101 so he didn't know much on that subject but he did know how to manage the American economy and insure a surplus! This after his many billions of spending on the Iraq war.

He refused to answer a question from CNN's David twice and put his little boy angry face on! He is a complete inept nincompoop! And I would think Americans would be more concerned about his replacement than constantly slamming Hillary.

I hope Americans soon start to give this Campaign the serious attention it deserves. I hope Americans start to seriously focus on their next President. I hope Americans will begin investigating other candidates' backgrounds and assessing their leadership capabilities to ensure you don't elect another moron. And in my view, you don't have many Candidates running who can fill the bill.

Are you voting for Loser Giulani? He couldn't even manage his marriages or lead New York. And his perceived greatness of himself is seen only by him. It's called Narcisstic.

With all of the skeletons in Queen Hillary's closet, I'd refrain from personal attacks (it's just a suggestion).

I always thought this evil, greedy man looked like the Penguin from Batman. I can just see him biting the head off of a live fish. In addition, Laura Bush looks like the Joker with that red lipstick, and her husband adds to the cast as Robin, boy wonder! Unfortunately for the citizens of this country, that group is missing a Batman, the lead hero.

She knows what she needs to do. Such comments are essential for her to make if she wishes to win the nomination of the party of hate. Republicans cannot make comments like this since that party is about tolerance, respect, and honesty. Liberals will disagree with this because it is the truth and at the center of their ideology is dishonesty. Not all of the left will hear it though, they are busy marching for thier support of the idea that white kids need to be beat up and that minorities who beat the crap out of them should be rewarded and given hero status in Jena today.

This is mildly amusing, since people have been calling Cheney Darth Vader for years (including Cheney himself, so calm down, Hillary bashers). But, seriously, is this really important? No, it's not. A candidate's proposals for healthcare, education, tax policy, immigration, foreign policy, Iraq, etc., THOSE are important issues. But a candidate calling someone else Darth Vader, besides the fact that he resembles the Emperor more than Vader? I don't see why it warrants the attention, except to give dorks like me a chance to expound on our Star Wars knowledge (go Pat from Tattooine!).

I find it interesting that I have now posted twice to this page, and have subsequently had both posts removed. Isn't it interesting that Sen Clinton is allowed to called Vice President Cheney Darth Vader, but when I make the comparison to her as Two-Face it is removed. Some sort of copyright problem with Marvel Comics that I am not aware of? Or could it be CNN attempting to provide a certain slant to the responses. Who knows, but I most certainly have my suspicions.....

For me the mystery is, if he had four heart attacks prior to becoming VP, why has he not had more of them in his stress-filled job? It does seem demonic to be impervious to the high probability of another heart attack.

It's a great comparison - and please, hear me out. Darth Vader was, at the height of his power, more machine than man. Dick Cheney has had four heart attacks and several electronic implants to control his body, and thusly prolong his life. Dick is, after all, the contemporary bionic man, so this parellel Hillary Clinton gave us does suit well.

The problem with Sen. Clinton's analogy, is that Darth Vader was the Emperor's apprentice, the latter being the real brains behind the downfall of the democratically operated Galactic Republic by means of a self-created needless war to ensure his rise to power [Iraq?], hopeless fear [the phony war on terror?, if you're not with us, you're against us?], and scapegoating by blaming the peaceful Jedi [culture war against the gays?]. Thus, her analogy should be reversed, where Bush is the apprentice Darth Vader, and Cheney is the Emperor, i.e., brains behind the operation.
