Gravel to Clinton: I’m ashamed of you

Mike Gravel had some harsh words for Hillary Clinton.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel scolded fellow Democratic White House hopeful Hillary Clinton during Wednesday’s Democratic presidential debate for supporting a Senate resolution that acknowledged the potential danger Iran poses.

“I am ashamed of you, Hillary, for voting for it,” said Gravel.

When given the opportunity to respond, Clinton began by saying, “I don’t know where to start.”

Gravel also reprimanded Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, for not voting at all.

Everyone else really should just get out of the race. Hillary Clinton consistently demonstrates Presidential like leadership and is always above the fray. While the other guys are bumbling around trying to clarify their positions, Hillary Clinton speaks clearly and firmly on the issues. Joe Biden does pretty well and John Edwards is finally coming into his own. Barack, to me, never has demonstrated leadership. Bill Richardson is solid, but seems unsure of himself. Dodd seems knowledgeable, but not quite Presidential. Kucinich and Gravel are loons. My first inclination was to support Clinton, but I wanted to hear the others in the many debates that have taken place. Each debate, Hillary Clinton just solidifies my support with every sentence. I will be very happy when there is ANOTHER PRESIDENT CLINTON!!!!

    "I'm ashamed of you Hillary"

"Those credit card companies deserved to be stuck with $90,000 of my bad debt"

"So what I've been involved in several bankruptcies... Donald Trump has done it a hundred times!"

    ----

Too bad it wasn't Obama or Ewards calling out Hillary. They have at least some credibility. Mike Gravel is a clown and his statements (even the correct ones) get lost in the lunacy of his candidacy.

Again i disagree with your assertion. In the last 2-3 weeks the new slogan is that Mrs. Clinton does not take a stand on any issue. This is a plain white lies perpetuated by some people in the media (most especially, Chris Mathews, Tucker of MSNBC and his cohorts) and aides of other candidates who want to mold the opinion of voters. Mrs Clinton does not take stand but she voted against the resolution condemning Petraeus Ad which was raised by the republicans to score political point after a similar resolution was passed condemning paersonal attacks on all uniformed men and women. Obama absented from voting. Mrs Clinton does not take stand but she voted to allow state department to consider economic sanctions against the militant wing of Iranian government even though that will be unpopular with her base. Obama absented. The list is as long as the pages can allow. Honesty is a virtue, if you can't be just and equitable, you do not have the moral right to criticize another person. Which issue do you not know her stand on? Which issue does any of the leading candidates not have stand on? Please let me know.

Gravel is just a bag of wind. Nobody cares what he says, as his poll standing is less than 1%.

You are all missing the point: HILLARY VOTED FOR ANOTHER WAR, this time with Iran. She has not learned her lesson from authorizing the Iraq war.

Do you really want a lady that will sacrifice American lives so she can "look tough" and score some points in the polls?

Gravel is the only honest man running, and America needs honesty and courage in the White House to bring dignity and respect back to this country.

Mike Gravel might be a moron, but he was right to chastise Clinton. I think she made a pact with the devil... When put on the spot on a timeline to bring our men and women home from Iraq, she couldn't do it. What a hypocrit!!!! Big time.

Hillary knew exactly what she was doing when she voted here, thinking she will be the nominee, she was positioning herself for the general election, to get the Jewish vote, because she knew if she voted not to attack Iran, she would not have the Jewish vote, so she could care less that Gravel or anyone else says I'm ashamed of you!
