Watch House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's frank interview with Wolf Blitzer about the Iraq war.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – CNN's Wolf Blitzer sat down with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, to talk about Iraq, Congress, and President Bush. Watch this exclusive interview with the Democratic leader.

Filed under: Congress • Iraq • Nancy Pelosi • President Bush • The Situation Room

Eric, from THE Republic of Texas   September 27th, 2007 5:18 pm ET

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
–President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by:
– Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
-Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"There is no doubt that … Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by:
– Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), and others, Dec 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them."
– Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
– Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons…"
– Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force — if necessary — to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
– Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years … We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
– Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do"
– Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members … It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
– Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."
– Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime … He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation … And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction … So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real…"
– Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

So Senator Pelosi, who exactly is the "we" you speak of? Certainly, it couldn't be the Senate or the House of Representatives.

If you're going to hold anyone accountable, don't forget to include the House and Senate in there, too.

James, Phoenix AZ   September 27th, 2007 4:56 pm ET

Tina – Grand Prairie, Tx

I'm confused by your statements. First you call for President Bush to be impeached for war crimes. Then when I tell you evidence must be presented you go off on a diatribe about how the soldiers are being treated… of "bills that send them back to war before they've had time to rest"… "they've passed bills to keep them there longer than needed".

Who is "they"? Did President Bush pass legislation or was it Congress which voted? And could you please cite for us which laws prohibit soldiers from being deployed and then redeployed? Tell us which law(s) specify exactly how much R&R soldiers are to be alloted.

Sorry, Tina. You don't have facts. You an opinion about the war – but not facts.

Tina, Grand Prairie, TX   September 27th, 2007 2:40 pm ET

James:

There are MOUNDS of evidence. I'm not speculating. I've seen it in the Iraq War reports directly. There is corruption at the highest level. And most specifically, (other than false pretenses which are PROVEN fact.), I am speaking of the way the soldiers are being treated… of the bills that send them back to war before they've had time to rest and recover… of soldiers who are hurt, tired, and suffering from severe PTSD having to go back because they've passed bills to keep them there longer than needed. That's not from moveon.org, sir. That is a FACT. Read your legislation before you decide to admonish someone about something you obviously know little about.

Have a pleasant day, yourself. :)

Well while you are holding Bush accountable you had better include just about every other politician in Washington as well since all of you continue to allow the war to go on regardless of public opinion. You received your mandate and you failed pretty damned miserably!

clara thomas, dyersburg, tn   September 26th, 2007 4:25 pm ET

this administration is responsible for not ending the war in iraq, and any other calamities this country has. we have a president who, even before certain proposals are put before hime sataes, "let them hurry up and get it to me so i can veto it". come on people, get real. realize we are living under a dictatorship and not a democracy. The president stated the other day on a lot of things overseas that the american people are not please with, but not once did he state all the things the american people are not pleased with right here at home. The president should sweep around his own front door before he continues to sweep around other leaders doors.

Some guys who want to try Nancy for treason show their pathetic intellectual levels. These are the people who don't read and act as stupid robots what Rush tell them to do. What about war crimes of our present leaders and the congressmen who support them?

Jay Jackson, Kansas City, MO   September 26th, 2007 3:57 pm ET

"The impeachment is off the table" or "Cut-off funding to the new bill"! These are all good slogans to stir up the base and get some talking points for right wingers to slam Nancy and her team. What Nancy is doing is politically wise moves. If she brings the impeachment on vote, its going to fail, and so as war funding bill. That is exactly Carl Rove wants. Next day there will be big adverisements in Wall Street as "Traitors". And, democrats will loose bunch of seats. Everyone knows what Bush-Cheney did to drag us into this mess. Is impeachment hearing or vote going to strip their offices? All they could do is to attach conditions on war funding for deployment. Don't be ignorants to put all the blame on democrats. Blame it on republicans who are prolonging this war and Bush's policies.

Ryan Indianapolis, IN   September 26th, 2007 3:57 pm ET

What a complete Trainwreck this woman is ……She talk very big and her actions are very small….Hey Nancy"blinkie"Pelosi I thought you were going to end the war???????Wrong, you are a traitor to your country and if you lived a century ago you would have been HUNG for treason….

James, Phoenix AZ   September 26th, 2007 3:25 pm ET

"Why is impeachment off the table when we're talking about WAR CRIMES here? "

Because, Tina, to prosecute anyone for a crime you must have EVIDENCE. Speculation, conspiracy theory, or believing it because Moveon.Org 'said so' does not constitute a FACT.

Sorry if that bursts your Impeach-Bush bubble. The good news is – you still have the RIGHT to hold false views based on partisan anger and call for a baseless impeachment on a public ticker.

Warm Regards!

Tony in TN   September 26th, 2007 3:11 pm ET

Pelosi needs to clean her own back yard before looking at someone else. Just another typical lieral spewing crap…

Tina, Grand Prairie, TX   September 26th, 2007 2:32 pm ET

Why is impeachment off the table when we're talking about WAR CRIMES here? Pres. Bush and VP Cheney should be held accountable for their actions by standing trial. And neither of them should be in office. They are both war criminals and should have their day in court. What they are doing to the American troops is inexcusable. These men and women are not given the chance to rest or recover. They're being treated horrifically. We all saw what happened to the Vietnam Vets. Let's not make the same mistake that was made in the past. Learn from history and hold these people accountable for what they've done.

Vote down party line and NOT approve the funding?

Or acquiesce to President Bush again – as you have time and time and time again?

Yes – be FIRM in your rhetoric and weak in your voting. Wink-Wink – Thanks Nancy (from the conservatives).

Patrick Smith, Alameda, CA   September 26th, 2007 1:32 pm ET

Thank you Johney of Florida explaining to these ignorant people. You are absolutely right that unless there is majority for democrats, nothing can be done and always the blame is passed on to Nancy and her team. When a simple Webb amendment where all he has asked for enough rest time for troops at home can't even get 60 votes in the senate, how can Nancy brings up a bill to stop funding for the war which is bound to fail? And then, democrats will be labeled as traitors. Its a big trap that democrats should not fall into. All they have to do is to explain what Johney just said in clear terms to the public and the media.

Johney, FL   September 26th, 2007 1:08 pm ET

There are a bunch of comments above saying that Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats have not accomplished what the set out to do. That is because they do not have enough of a majority to pass anything, and then when they do, Bush vetoes it. In the House and the Senate, there are not enough Democrats to actually have a true majority to accomplish anything. If you want the Democrats to end the war and fix everything the Republicans destroyed, then they need a REAL majority! It is not Pelosi's fault that everytime a bill comes up setting a time-table, it doesn't get passed because there aren't enough Democrats to pass it. Also, one comment up there said that she said she would not impeach Bush, well duh, it would be political suicide. She ALREADY KNOWS that there, again, aren't enough Democratic votes to even come close to impeaching Bush(have you heard any Republican say they will support the impeachment of Bush?)so why should she even introduce a bill that she knows will never come close to passing? All it will do is look like a total defeat to the Speaker of the House thus ruining her career! Maybe if we gave them more of a majority where they could pass things without Republican support, everything that we want could get accomplished such as ending the war. Or we could just sit here and be complete idiots and complain that nothing is happening with the new Democrat "majority" and blame them, but once again the Republicans still have too much power for the Democrats to accomplish anything, and there is still a Republican President who veteos everything the Democrats narrowly pass. We can change both of these obstacles in 2008, by giving both the House and the Senate more of a majority and occupying the White House with a Democrat. That is the solution! Now stop complaining about Nancy Pelosi failure as the Speaker, and start solving the problem, which of course is the Republicans.

shaire seattle wa   September 26th, 2007 12:50 pm ET

Pelosi and Reid are a prime example of what the Democrats DON'T need at a time like this. We need someone with the resolve to end this war, not sit around yapping about the Repubs. Pelosi strolls in like some queen announcing 'Impeachment' off the table. Really? Because she says so? Pelosi YOU OWN the war in Iraq. As the Cheney Bush dogshow have never taken responsibility for 'anything' apparently, Pelosi joins that club denying any as well. Get some backbone and do what we told you we wanted, impeachment.

Judith Kay, Atlanta, GA   September 26th, 2007 12:45 pm ET

Why is that the same people who are questioning the capablity of Nancy Pelosy have asked what the past republican speaker Dennis Hassart did for 6 years? There were more bills introduced for the people in less than a year than during the last 6 years. And, Bush who never vetoed any bill is now bent on vetoing even a blank paper presented by democrats. Unless, there is a clear majority in house and senate, nothing will get done in this obstructinist congress.

Steve SF, Ca   September 26th, 2007 12:34 pm ET

Thanks Nancy for showing your prowress of leadership:

"Impeachment is off the table"

Jan grand rapids michigan   September 26th, 2007 12:02 pm ET

Being a lifelong Demorcrat, I am VERY disappointed in the "non-action action" delivered by the Democratic House and Senate. They had a chance to get rid of Bush, end the war, and put America back on top. Instsead they chose "Chastizement" as their course of action. Shame on them, and Pelosi especially. To kowtow to the Republicans is the most disgusting display of cowardice. The Dems are now using the election as a "retreat"…no action taken till Nov. 2008. Dumb move….that's when the people will take action and determine who to keep and who to kick out…so I would be very careful in either party….the American voters are PO'd…..and no party is safe.

Rex, Toledo, Ohio   September 26th, 2007 12:00 pm ET

Pat, huntington, ny   September 26th, 2007 11:45 am ET

The commentators criticising Nancy Pelosi about not doing enough to end the Iraq war need to read the US Constitution, I believe it's Article I, describing the powers of Congress. Then they should read the part about the powers of the President. Then you will all learn that she CANNOT end this war under the current situation where the Dems have a slim majority and the Repubs control the white house. As a previous comment noted, it is time for the Votes to step up to the plate in November 2008 and vote out the Republicans who are standing in the Speaker's and Democrat's way to do what needs to be done with the idiot war.

Expecting the Democrats to fix the slew of problems created by the Republicans over ALL the years they were in power is simply asinine. Of course it definitely gives Republicans something to whine about and try to spin like they do everything else.

Republicans have not only jeopardized America's security since the rest of the world no longer respects or trusts us, they have also jeopardized America's economy as everyone can see with the dollar at an all time low. This stupid mess we're in will not be fixed easily or quickly.

Pelosi couldn't manage her way out of a paper bag much less "hold this administration accountable". She lost all credibility on this issue when she "took impeachment off the table". I had great hope for her prior to becoming speaker of the house but she's as much a part of the problem now as the adminsitration itself in my opinion.

ted, washington d.c.   September 26th, 2007 10:56 am ET

You guys have heard that the tyrant is now trying "bully" the U.N. once again to stop violence in some weird country MYNAMAR. No ones even heard of that country who cares! Military and troops, troops and military, thats all republicans care about

Steve   September 26th, 2007 10:49 am ET

"That's what we were hoping for when we elected a Democratic majority. I hasnt happened yet…"

It never will. The Republicans' grand strategy is, continue in a monolithic block to support our Worst. President. Ever., so that the Dem majority, not big enough to override vetoes, looks ineffective.

This war is now the congressional Repubs'. Bush is off the hook. They're now the ones slavishly supporting Bush despite the idiocy that is the Iraq war.

The real problem is, people that voted in a Dem majority last fall should've started in earlier elections, and should have elected more Dems the last time around.

Don't blame the Democrats for cowardly Repubs too chicken to challenge Bush.

Chris Franklin Park NJ   September 26th, 2007 10:48 am ET

Yes, we are living in a culture of corruption, and you Nancy, are one of the finest examples of a corrupt leader living in denial while pointing fingers at others. Your leading abilities are a complete disgrace.

Jason, Columbia, SC   September 26th, 2007 10:34 am ET

I believe that she will try to hold the Bush administration accountable, but will she and her fellow Democrats succeed? No, that isn't likely. There isn't enough of a Democratic majority in either the House or the Senate to bring about any sort of real change – the Republican minority and sitting president can and do serve as very effective roadblocks, and then have the gall to accuse this Congress of being a do-nothing group.

She is doing what she can, but the lack of a 2/3rds majority and a misogynist and anti-California right are preventing her from doing much more than talk.

Kay Ash, AR   September 26th, 2007 10:26 am ET

Deborah H. Arrington, Kingsport, Tennessee   September 26th, 2007 10:26 am ET

I watched part of the Pelosi-Blitzer interview yesterday on The Situation Room. I am inclined to be sympathetic w/Speaker Pelosi. But I was disappointed when she gave a very testy reply to Wolf when he asked her if she was saying that there's nothing the Democrats can do to change the course in Iraq since they have not yet been able to build sufficient voting strength to make a difference. She needs to take a time out, a few very deep breaths, and continue fighting the good fight. And I agree, at this point, the Republicans are quite rightly bearing the responsiblity for this mess in Iraq. The neocons had been wanting it for a long time…..there's even the text of a letter on the internet from the central neocon thinktank urging President Clinton to invade Iraq, unitlaterally if necessary which he obviously and wisely ignored. I don't believe in rewarding disastrously poor leadership with my vote and I sure hope that the election of 2006 means that there a lot more people out there who feel the same.

sonny c. v.p.,la.   September 26th, 2007 10:23 am ET

She's right. Karl Rove wanted to make Iraq the Republicans War & beat the Dems. over the head with it for being weak on Nationial Defense. Rove's goal was to create a permanent Republican Majority for decades. He wanted to reshape America so that it would resemble a lighter version of Nazi Germany. But the Good Little War went South & left Bush & Rove to do what they do best: Spread the blame.

Jeff H. Seattle   September 26th, 2007 10:22 am ET

We'll believe it when we see it Nancy. However, I'm sure you'll need more cash to fund an "accountability committee" so instead of giving some more money to our schools, why not vote yourselves another raise? At least you're all in agreement when it comes to that…

I love Nancy, but seperating us completely from progress on democracy in Iraq?

Mark Ramsey MD Fort Lauderdale FL   September 26th, 2007 9:56 am ET

What Nancy Pelosi is able to do is severly limited by a VERY partisan republican minority. The solution is for the voters to finish in 2008 what we started in 2006- throw out the republicans and give the democrats a supermajority. It is only then, under a democratic president, house, and senate, that we will finally end this war.

Jim Topeka, Kansas   September 26th, 2007 9:51 am ET

And just how is George W Bush going to be held accountable. He's a Lame Duck, members of his own party would rather cross the street than associate with him and still Congress has failed to really investigate any of the horrific goings on that have occurred within government since his election. No investiogations, no impeachment, no veto overrides. What in the world makes this man appear so untouchable, history may well hold this adminstration accountable for being the absolutely worst and most vial adminstration in US history, but this Congress I do not believe is capable of holding a bipartisan caucus to discuss the morning coffee break without breaking out into partisan political inpass.

Lauryn, Ohio   September 26th, 2007 9:45 am ET

Amomentary lull in violence and slight headway, and every republican out there thinks they get to throw those chins in the air and look down at the rest of us.

Kate, Aurora CO   September 26th, 2007 9:41 am ET

I do not believe one word out of any politian's mouth. They have all betrayed us, they have all served only their pockets and their own interests. It doesn't matter which party you chose, Democrat or Republican, they are a bunch of lying crooks. When we elected the Democrat Congress they promised change but here we still are. The first step to cleaning up Washington is to kick every last one of the lobbyists out and then WE the people start holding these people responsible. For too long we have turned a deaf ear and now we have lost control of our country. Nothing we say or vote matters. I personally believe the 2008 president has already been chosen. This whole drama of pre-election garbage is nothing but entertainment for the masses to entertain the notion we still have a choice in our government. Its so sad but the reality.

Pat, huntington, ny   September 26th, 2007 9:41 am ET

The sad reality is that this is all the Speaker can do about the Iraq War – submit bills to the president that seek to change the course of American deployment there, knowing full well they'll be vetoed. She can't cut funding because this stupid stubborn president will still keep the troops there without any ammo, effectively defensiveless. We're so screwed because of this administration.

Chip Celina OH   September 26th, 2007 9:39 am ET

Evan,

That's an excellent suggestion. Try getting that to pass through Congress!

I'd say we just pick members of congress by statewide lottos, kind of like the draft. Get five or so eligibles for each seat, have them debate a few times and then let the constituency decide. 2 terms of that and you're back on the street. We have term limits for Presidents, why not for the rest of the apparatus?

Have a great day,

Jp   September 26th, 2007 9:36 am ET

This lady is a self promoting fool that is terrible for our government.

Tom, Mission Viejo, CA   September 26th, 2007 9:32 am ET

How about holding Congress accountable for pork barrel spending?

I'm not a big fan of the current Republican party, as i fashion myself as more of a libertarian (small government, less power hungry corrupt officials). That said, the current Democratic party offers little of value to the United States except for just being different. They have little wisdom in tax policy, spew socialist rhetoric, and are utterly opposed to America taking a leadership role in combating Islamic fascism.

While the Bush Administration has many many faults and the road they've chosen to take America is difficult and requires tough decisions, the Democrats want to take the easy road…avoid conflict (might hurt people's feelings), tax the rich (they don't vote in huge numbers), give away 'free' things to everyone (despite the actual cost), and generally believe the government can solve every problem in the US (and think the UN can solve every problem in the world….to which i ask, has it ever solved a global conflict? um, no.)

Get real, Nancy, you have no vision for this country other than to spend my hard earned money for your pet projects. The Red Cross, Catholic Charities, Second Harvest, Goodwill, the Salvation Army, the Shriners, etc, all do greater good than most government programs every will. The spirit of the volunteer will always do greater good than a government clerk who has little vested interest in the program they operate.

I would like to share something witg my fellow democrats about how brainwased Bush supporters can be. The other night, at locaal resturant a group of people canvassing for Obama tried to give a large group of men seated at the table nxt to us, some campaign lit and stickers. They were all waring hats and shirts that suggested they were from different construction companies. Instead of saying anything they just got up, pushed chairs, threw their tips on the table and filed past us out the door. My husband noticed as they walk out the door that one of them had a mcCain for prez stincled on his jacket. The whole scene created an uncomfortable silence in the resturant which my husband broke with "Thats republicans for you, even when their loosing they refuse to listen to reason". We heard people cuckle.

Pelosi needs to hold herself and the Democratic majority accountable…her watch is not holding up promises made and her excuses are totally lacking credibility.

Chris, Middletown, CT   September 26th, 2007 9:11 am ET

I posted a comment – I wonder why CNN would remove it? Nancy is partisan politics at its finest. Will she hold all the senators and congressman who authorized the war (on both sides of the aisle) – more political games – exactly what we need Nancy. Send her back to Syria.

Evan Clarke, Milwaukee, Wi   September 26th, 2007 8:59 am ET

The speaker is a government insider and sees distinctions between house, senate, the administration,Republicans and Democrats for the purpose of accountability. As a citizen I see these factions all as one unit and accountable as one entity. We have no hope of fixing the U.S. government with staggered term lengths. How about a constitutional amendment to elect all federal officials for the same term at the same time, there's accountability.

Chris, Middletown, CT   September 26th, 2007 8:40 am ET

Partisan politics at its finest. Along with this administration – I would hope all the Republicans and Democrats who authorized the war in Iraq (with the same intelligence). Then we need to go after the England and Australia as well – lets get them too. I think Nancy should do what she does best – back to Syria with you.

AJ; Montpelier, VT   September 26th, 2007 7:50 am ET

That's what we were hoping for when we elected a Democratic majority. I hasnt happened yet…

Pickles, Monaca, PA   September 26th, 2007 7:04 am ET

No you won't.

Steve, Annapolis, MD   September 26th, 2007 5:56 am ET

I thought Batman killed The Joker!

David, Hilo, HI   September 26th, 2007 3:18 am ET

"We will hold this administration accountable??"

Excuse me? Is this some sort of lame joke?

Just who is this "we" you are referring to, Ms. Impeachment-Is-Off-The-Table? Certainly not the Leadership of the Democratic Party ( an oxymoron if there ever was one ).

All bark and no bite; just like a pathetic little lap dog.

Steve Royal Austin, Texas   September 26th, 2007 1:47 am ET

Speaker Pelosi is in lock step with continuing the Iraq funding, therefor the maiming and exhausting of our military and treasury. If there is no way to cut of funding to Iraq, prove it to the American people with aggressive transparent legislation.

r.james   September 26th, 2007 1:09 am ET

Idiots ,all of them……….

Brent Maddux, Madison, WI   September 25th, 2007 11:50 pm ET

funny…

Matt Simpson, Kansas City, KS   September 25th, 2007 11:44 pm ET

Blah blah blah.. loser Pelosi. San Fransisco should be dropped from the United States and made its own country with Nancy Pelosi as its Queen.

Steven - Miranda, California   September 25th, 2007 11:39 pm ET

I had such high hopes for her… The first lady Speaker and all that, and what has she accomplished? Not much.

Max, Austin, TX   September 25th, 2007 10:12 pm ET

Nancy must be fresh off a facelift. We haven't seen her for weeks, and now it looks like she can't closer her eyes.

Jeff Spangler, Arlington, VA   September 25th, 2007 10:11 pm ET

Do you have the courage to repeatedly send Bush a bill with "no timetable, no funds, no war" even if imperils your dream of an unearned veto-proof majority? Without a supplemental, the Pentagon _must_ plan to unwind this mess. Can you take the heat?

trish, hickory, nc   September 25th, 2007 9:58 pm ET

Sorry, Nancy, holding the Republicans "accountable" is too little, too late. Many of us are very disappointed that the last days of this frightening administration are not being fought at least with the same vigor that the GOPers fought Clinton over a blue dress. Hmmmm. Let's see — Clinton's indiscretion or 3,500 American lives???? You weigh it…
