Unlike African-Americans, Latinos don't vote in a block. They are more independent and are not led by a few pastors and national leaders like African Americans have shown themselves to be. Look at the past twenty years, African-Americans vote for whomever their leaders endorse.

The GOP should forget about trying to persuade the 90% of African-Americans who blindly vote democrat no questions asked, and seek the vote of the more independent and open-minded Latino, Asian, and Arab populations.

Mark, you need to do a fact check on the percentage of Latinos who voted republican in the last election which turned out to be a vote for "Judas". Further, that 90% of African Americans you claim vote democrat was not enough to stop Bush but we are still serving our country in Iraq.

Blacks don't vote for Democrats because they're told to. That's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Blacks vote for Democrats because of Nixon's "Southern Strategy" of courting bigots, which every GOP presidential candidate has done ever since.

The Republican Party used to be one of tolerance and equality, but today it is a shameful, corrupt entity whose only tie to its past is the name. There are still a few Republicans that won't play the race game (Gov. Huckabee springs to mind), but they are all "second tier" to the rest of the party.
