Run Al Run! Mr. Gore is a very wise man. He spoke out against the war, he has not been afraid to stand up for what he believes. He is a good man. Bless him for expanding his repetoire and doing comedy. GW would be funnier if he wasn't so dangerous. Giulianni? you gotta be kidding me!

Scott
Unless you run Hillary - then you will have to think up the "excuses" you guys always come up with when you lose - how about these "its because she's a woman...well..kind of" or maybe "they don't like the fact she's a socialist....they are socialist bashing" - I know Democrats who won't vote for her....and it looks like we are running the only moderate candidate - Giuliani - and will win....its not a GOP win....its a win for moderates everywhere....(Democrats, Republicans...and Independents)

Scott, Silicon Valley:
I think you're trying to make a point but seems you can't quite get there. How can "...the whole country laugh at the GOP. Oh, except these wingnuts who will be crying" be a true statement? If we have 55+ million registered Republicans or "these wingnuts" (as you infer) vote and their candidates lose, then obviously the "whole country" would not be laughing or almost half the registered voters would just be laughing at themselves. Proofreading is powerful ability...use it. If you can't make sense when communicating, don't participate in adult conversations!

Gore and Edwards are just about the two most hypocritical a-holes environmentalists wannabees out there. Mega square footage homes with ungodly energy consumption, yet, they have the audacity to tell us to be green..! So much for practicing what you preach..! Now, given that Obama refuses to wear an American Flag, which is utterly disgraceful for a future American President, is Hilliary our only viable candidate..? If so, it kinda scares me... The Repubs deserve a wicked thrashing in the upcoming elections, but is Hilliary going to be our only choice..? Oh good god, please say it isn't so...

Al Gore The Clown - yes, I bet he thinks he invented the sitcom, too (apart from the internet). And he is right in this - one can only laugh at his "educated" stances on issues last few years...

Al Gore has a finger on he pulse of America. Love him or hate him, it doesn't matter. He knows what America needs if it is to re-establish its place as a Global Partner. Perhaps it takes someone like me, having lived in Canada, (close enough) to see how America has gotten wrapped up so much in its self-importance that it can't see its true value on the world stage -now and in the future. The world is not America. I had to move to Europe to see that. Gore would make a great president and I urge all of you who can urge him to run, to do so. The opposition still remains in the Dark Ages of progressive thought.

As both an American and a world citizen it both saddens and angers me that Al Gore won the election fair and square yet did not end up our President. That one rigged election stuck us instead with an ammoral egocentric buffoon that has damaged America more deeply and in more ways than Biden Laden himself could have ever dreamed of. Democracy sabotaged HERE while Bush exports "democracy" to Iraq at the barrel of a gun...oh yeah, it was WMDs that brought us there, no, wait...it was Bin Laden, no wait....The second rigged election let Bush continue his savaging of America.

An Incoherent Gore, Tennessee:

Get your facts straight, Gore NEVER said "I invented the Internet"

Here is what really happened:
During a CNN interview, he actually said this:
<i>"During my service in the United States Congress I took the initiative in creating the internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system."</I>

Furthermore:

"On March 19, 1979, Gore became the first person to appear on C-SPAN, making a speech in the House chambers.[18] In the late 1980s, Gore introduced the Gore Bill, which was later passed as the High Performance Computing and Communication Act of 1991. The bill was one of the most important pieces of legislation directly affecting the expansion of the internet."

But I guess you are too partisian to know the real truth with regards to the internet

It doesn't matter if you're laughing at Gore or Bush- come 2008, the whole country will be laughing at the GOP. Oh, except these wingnuts who will be crying.

Nothing Mr. Gore has done (including the upcoming "30 Rock" appearance) has, does, or would embarrass me HALF as much as does George W. Bush.

I think is good for everyone to see the lighter side of Al Gore. He was portrayed as uptight and boring, and maybe rightfully so. And now he is more open to the public and doing what he wants. This is positive reinforcement of "what doesn't break you makes you stronger." He has moved on from politics and can focus on global warming, Current TV, and yes even a cameo or two on some funny shows. Like him or not, please appreciate his new direction as being more than self interest. He sees an important issue and makes it his own life's work. He doesn't just pay lip service to it, he becomes part of it. Everyone should be that passionate about something. This soapbox is now yours, do your worst.

Sorry guys, he can't run, as he and Bill sold their souls to the Devil (Hillary) many years ago.

She made Bill stay with her and told Gore that he can never run against her, having all those secrets and "stories" in her "lock box" has so far paid off well.

Al Gore didn't get to be president, so he made an Oscar-winning documentary, was a huge success on the lecture circuit, and is now using his visibility and our preoccupation with prime-time network TV to draw attention to environmental issues. He's having a good time, doesn't appear to be bitter, and I honestly can't imagine why he'd want the WH job this time around. Nor am I sure why, despite his apparent harmlessness and low toxicity, so many people take offense at the continuing existence of Al Gore.

Al Gore... people want him to run again? For what? He has done nothing for the US. He took credit for creating the Internet, a technology that grew from the DOD and from out of Berkley and Gore had nothing to do with it. His 'Truth' about the environment is fabricated and lest we forget Tipper and the all suffocating PMRC... why people think he should run again or at all makes me wonder what the 'memory factor' or 'intelligence level' of this countries citizens really is. He did not create the Internet. His environment tirade is baseless and anyone who can't see this guy for who he really is... (a baby who had a nervous breakdown after his failed election) are only kidding themselves. Educated yourself, dig into 'true' historical facts and then blog; otherwise you’re only confusing the idiots. Peace!

The US presidency is a relatively thankless difficult difficult job, that Al Gore has viewed up close and personal. I don't now if that had something to do with his not demanding a full recount and complete verification of each vote in each state in 2000. That he did not fight for his rights tells us something about his personality, the corruption of our election system, and the peril to all of us for allowing a mediocre fellow to lead up our executive branch. Yes you Bush / blind republican supporters, by this I mean our economy would be in a better place the dollar would not be sliding down, we would not have engaged in torture, the rich would be paying their fair share, there would still be a middle class, there would be fewer gas guzzlers on the road and the hummers (costly mistakes) would be at the back of car lots gathering dust, we would have money for our education, children's medicine, infrastructure, safety from terrorists, Katrina rebuild, veterans care, 9-11 workers medical expenses if we didn't have the wasted expense of the, albatross hanging from our neck, that Iraq has become. America would still hold a place of respect around the world, and we would have come to consensus and have begun making strides toward controlling greenhouse gasses. You just about can't tote up the financial and moral bankruptcy that Bush Chaney have visited upon us.

Al's still looking for his glory, sad really..

I wonder if he'll be flying into hollywood in his gas guzzuling private jet while Tipper hosts those massive energy consuming parties for the TV show??

Please Al, tell me again how my conservation of the minuscule amount of energy I use is going to save the world..

If Al Gore had become president in 2000 our country would be in a lot better shape than it is now! He is 100 times the man Bush is and at least 100 times as smart! I wish he would run! He would win hands down! You Republicans are idiots! Go Hillary!

Why doesn't Gore just run and save us all from a Hillary vs. Rudy campaign? He is one person that could heal our foreign relations and get America "forward thinking".

Joseph from Austin, TX,

Apparently you have never seen Guliani on SNL and other shows and John McCain on SNL and the Daily Show. I love how Al Gore bothers you only because he is a Democrat. The only thing he is trying to do is save the planet from Global Warming. Instead you rather support people who don't believe in it and want to blow up the world.

Al Gore makes great comedy films. The title alone on his last one was a hilarious reflection of his political career.

An inconvenient truth.., isn't it ironic.

This is the news? I thought the silly season was over. This is worse than the news about Fred Thompson's trophy

I truly believe Gore would be the best chance the Democrats have of winning the presidency. I hope he wins the Nobel Peace Prize next Friday. Hopefully he will then go on to announce he is entering the race later this month. I would vote for him AGAIN. GORE 2008!
