No doubt, Mitt Romney offers the best chance to all the candidates to keep his promises on taxes and the economy. Now, if we could get him paired up with Senator Elizabeth Dole as his VP running mate, we will have a team that can actually beat the coming Clinton/Obama juggernaut. No other GOP candidate can do that.–Dr. Chartrand

Excellent idea, I am a huge fan of Liz Dole and that would be a great combination.

Two very smart and experienced candidates.

Hillary is not Howard Dean of 2004 because:
(a) Hillary has much better campaign machine and surround herself with experieced election and political people including bill clinton (best strategist ever);
b) Hillary has raised most funds (firing power)to get her messages across;
c) This is the clintons' 3rd bid for president, winning the previous two;
d) the other dem and rep candidates are light weights and few have foreign political experience;
e) The clintons were successful in countering republican attacks during the clinton admin and came out as one of the best popular president ever. Bill Clinton left office with a job-approval rating of 66%. Three-quarters of Democrats, and 53% of voters in general, would like him to play an active role in a future Clinton administration. Nearly nine in ten Democratic voters (88%) express a positive view of Hillary's candidacy; 38% express a very positive view.
(f) Hillary does not need to paint the whole america blue, and all she needs to do is to win one more state than john kerry.
(g) Hillary is leading in all state primaries (except Illinois) over Obama and Edwards by a big margin.
(h) Hillary has experience to make responsible and realistic changes, and has heart and passion for public service.
i) Half of the American voters are women (most of which have indicated to vote for Hillary).
j) Hillary has obtained at least half, if not more, black supports than obama. Nearly 3 times more black women have indicated to vote for hillary.

Former Vice-President Gore deserved the Nobel.

I am comforted by the comment that he would consider running if Senator Clinton faltered.

I was proud to cast my vote in 2000 for former Vice-President Gore, and believe to this day that he would have been 100 times better as President than President Bush has been.

My confidence in Senator Obama and former Senator Edwards is minimal.

If Senator Clinton falters, former Vice-President Gore has my vote.

It's a complement to Obama Campaign that the Media/opponents has to try Sooooo Hardddd.. to find anything or goes as far as to event some scenario to be able to say anything bad about Obama. They basically have to knowingly setup a loaded debate question. That Hillary has been briefed on or uses a US Senator to jockey bill-voting times around. Obama will have to either except the VP position and do it quietly or they will pick Edwards (as I suspect they either have or will offer to Obama before the Primary) or Obama will have to reject their offer and continue to go for the Presidency 2008. If he chooses the latter, He must do it like it is Chicago and Kick a.. and take names.. Obama would be effectively running against Bill Clinton. So Obama you are NOW running against Bill Clinton. Formulate how to beat Bill Clinton and you win. P.S. Some of this seems to be already happening.

The Facts About Hillary's Unstoppability.

Hillary had a rally in New York City recently. 2400 people attended.

Obama had a rally in the same place last week. 24,000 people in attendance.

Obama outranks Hillary on environmental records, ethics reform, more bills passed in the Senate and the IL Senate, more bipartisan bills than any other Democrat.

In the 1980s Hillary was on the founding board of directors for Wall Mart, who then financed Bill's first campaign for governer of Arkansas.

In the 1980s Obama was the first African American editor of the Harvard Law Review and turned down over 700 corporate six figure job offers to instead walk the streets of Chicago as a community organizer on behalf of out of work steel mill workers, for 14 grand a year.

Obama called Iraq a "dumb war" in 2002 and said that it would devolve quickly into a civil war between Shia, Sunni, and Kurd, while at the same time, Hillary voted to authorize the war and bush didn't know how to pronouce the word Shia, much less what one was.

Obama has more individual campaign donations than ANY OTHER CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY, mostly in the 10 or 20 dollar range. He currently has about 12 MILLION more dollars to spend throughout the campaign than Hillary does, despite the fact that three months ago pundits where saying that Hillary's cash machine would be unparralleled in U.S. History and that her campaign would be untoppable moneywise.

Whereas Hillary's donors come almost exclusively from corporate lobbys and packagers like Norman Hu, (recently arrested for $850,000 of illegal contributions to Hillary's campaign), who have given Hillary already the maximum amount allowed, Obama's incredibly large donor base has single handedly accomplished finance reform, allowing him to draw upon these low dollar individual donors again and again, making him competitive far beyond the early states.

Polls show consistantly that close to 80 percent of voters remain undecided or leaning toward a candidate only in a "soft" way. This is despite the fact that Hillary is a known commodity.

Only now are voters across the country starting to vaguely pay attention to the race. Hillary Clinton has a higher negative rating than any other candidate in history. Guiliani and the other repubs attack her constantly and even Bush has declared her the defacto nominee. Why?

Because they know if she's the nominee she will motivate the GOP base and even if she wins the election she will ensure that Republicans turn out to keep Republican Senators and Congressmen in office, thus checking any real change from occuring that any other democrat, especially Obama, would be able to accomplish.

Obama is the candidate of choice amongst the military, because they realize that he is not playing the usual political games and that he means what he says.

In places where the electorate is paying attention, Obama is tied with Hillary in the polls and leading amongst likely caucaus goers.

You tell me... who is truly unstoppable?

Clinton will win.

These are smart people who are capable of successfully running a country as complex as the US. Something a certain Texas Cowboy who can't spell right is clearly incapable of doing.

America knows this, why do you think Bill is so popular even though he cheated on his wife?

Come to your senses people, there is no reason why Hillary won't win.

Gore is not running for president - period. When will people accept it and stop speculating.

The closest he will get to the elections is an endorsement.

Let's hope he backs the real winner - Barack Obama who, by the way, gets the highest environmental rating by the League of Conservation Voters.

Gore has been paid dearly to NOT challenge HRC in more ways than ONE. All of those back door deals, behind closed doors hand shakes, YUK, will continue even when the DEM PREZ choice is not the BEST for the US public. Politics in the US stinks of corruption, manipulation and greed. HRC is part of that network supporting and strengthening the negative in America. Wake up American Voters because it is not too late to make a positive turn and get this country on track by choosing the right person to run the US. Hilary is NOT the right solution, she is more of the same. America needs a jolt of immunity boosting herbs to take care of the problems dug deep by the Bush admin. HRC is not the life-sustaining jolt needed, she is the numbing sedation to keep us out-of-touch and subserviant. A HRC win means Americans lose and lose big time. IT IS YOUR CHOICE AMERICAN VOTERS, step up to the plate and participate, vote for real change and integrity, Not HRC.

Al Gore has little credibility. He lost in elections, he flunked out of divinity school, he has family issues with his son being a druggie. If it wasn't for him hopping on the anti-Bush Global Warming bandwagon, no one would listen to him. That's why he chose this fraudulent cause. It's difficult to argue GLobal Warming without looking like a bad person. But, Al, chill out; we're NOT ruining the planet. America is the LEAST polluted, cleanest country for its size in the world.

Are right wingers the stupidest, most ill informed people on the planet? Yes they are. Calling the Clinton's corrupt with that criminal we have in the white house. His misuse of the justice system, all those no-bid contracts with billions missing. My God, do these people ever read a newspaper. I am truly ashamed to be an American. There is no intelligent debate possible with these right wing morons distorting every subject and
filling the air with their lies and nonsense. It is truly disgusting. And yes, If i had more money,I would be living in Europe. I have quite a bit of money but thanks to Bush devaluing the dollar by thirty percent with his policies, my money is pretty much useless overseas. What an incompetent piece of garbage Bush is. And these people that support, do they have third grade educations even

Al Gore already won once. He would start a landslide. Since he's not in the race I would say Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel, and Ron Paul are the Best Candidates. They tell the truth. The others slide around it trying to deflect the tough questions. The ones you don't hear a fuss about in the corporate media are the ones the corporate masters are afraid of. Congratulations to Big Al on his well deserved Nobel Prize.

Two families running the US for the past 20 years? Another indication we're on the slippery slope headed towards becoming a two-bit country ran by despots...ala Peron, etc. Any time the MSM's 15 second sound-bites helps form up a concensous among US citizens, you KNOW we're headed in the wrong direction...and at the mercy of whoever it is that determines what those "sound bites" communicate...I'm an optimists by nature, but this gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

What happen to the voice of those who once said, "better dead than red"? At one time we were a country fighting socialism and communism...and now we are one!

I believe that Al Gore looked at the Democratic presidential candidate race with a fairly objective eye and came up with the only logical conclusion.

Put it another way, one Clinton cleaned up the mess left by the first Bush and now it will take another Clinton to try and clean up the mess made by the second Bush.

To bad Bush 41 never got around to housebreaking Bush 43, then we would not have to have another Clinton in the White House.

I think people have a gut feeling that Hillary is just in this to placate the masses (in order to achieve the higher goal of her own glory.)

She talks about uniting, but she's THE MOST DIVISIVE person running. Ironic.

How can anyone support any man who wants to "change peoples' thinking" through big government, taxes on an imaginary problem (one degree warmer in 100 yrs. doesn't sound like an issue does it?) and more government regulations? That sounds like socialism to me and I don't stand for these things that Hillary or Al Gore want.

Ah, yes, the Gore kiss of death. Al had also thought Howard Dean was unstoppable and publicly endorsed the screaming meemie only a few weeks before the Dean juggernaut ran aground. Now, the Ozone Man is puckering up to deliver the same smoochie to Mrs. Gigglebox. Thanks Al.

Chris: Keep dreaming! Giuliani? President? Three times married-dressed as a drag queen-walked in the gay pride-exploits 911 over and over and over-spreads fear-And finally a war monger. It is unprecedented that a Mayor becomes President…

Grover Cleveland and Herbert Hoover were both Mayors before becoming President of the United States. Learn your history before making silly comments.

I believe that, sad to say, once again Mr. Gore is displaying bad political judgment and is missing his "greatest" opportunity at securing his rightful place in history.

He's sincerely mistaken if he believes that the Clintons are America's first choice for the presidency.

If he really wants to assist the global cause he has championed all his life, doesn't the power of the presidency, or the prospect of obtaining the office, require that he assert himself into the race?

Success is the best revenge...Congratulations Mr. Gore, well done!

Al Gore has first hand experience in regard to Clintons, their character,their methods and and their political operatives. He also obviously found his work on global environmental issues much more rewarding and gratifying than running for POTUS.Why should he return to mud slinging of a political campaign? He wisely recognised that his legacy is better served by moving on to other accomplishments, which, unfortunately, cannot be said about Clintons still trying to hang to their power...

No guts, no glory Mr. Vice President. The Democratic Party would be better off with you at the helm than Senator Clinton.
