But, it is easy to center in on Pakistan. Why not show concern over China, the largest banker the US government has seen in recent history. What if China decided to dump it holding in US Government bonds and notes. What about OPEC if they decided that they were not going to do buissness in US Dollars anymore. Maybe Russia back sliding to a dictatorship, maybe North Korea deciding to up its demands or China getting its feathers ruffled and proclaimimg that US foreign policy is interfering in interal matters with our dealings with Tawain. Then we can decide if we still want Musharraf to be the governor of Pakistan and Benazir Bhutto to assist him.
