Hillary made her own life miserable by marrying an Irish guy. That is just as stupid as marrying an Italian. Hopefully, after she becomes president she'll wake up and get rid of him. He is an anchor around her neck.

Do tell us "kyu", why she is so great and wonderful and why you want her on TV and you will vote for her in 2008 and 2012.

Please help me, I am undecided on who to vote for and your brilliance on her greatness will help me along.

Please enlighten us with some facts and reasoning.

Hillary Clinton is obviously interested in power for herself only She is not concerned with the average American, as indicated by the people she invited to her party. She wants to be President so that she can exclude the average American from such birthday parties and similar events while she hobnobs at taxpayers expense with the so-called rich and famous. She knew full well that the people that she wants to vote for her could not afford to spend $2,300 to attend her birthday party, yet that is what you had to pay to attend. Why did she have to spend one million dollars on a birthday party when she could have used that money to help the people that she supposedly wants to represent? What a hypocrite!

Pam..You are the blind one as seen with your stupid choices for the presidency. Americans are not looking for a Queen or a King. We are looking for a leader who can put country back together again. Republicans are the blind ones who are nothing but followers and can NOT think for themselves just like you. You are a very shallow person!

Sorry folks. I am in complete agreement with Laura in Tulsa. I also belive that many others are. It is just that CNN is taking down our posts. I do not support Hillary and never will. She is not "Our Royal Family", our Queen or even fit to lead this nation. Those posts make me want to puke. You Hill supporters are so blind. I will vote for Obama, Edwards or anyone whose last name is not Clinton. I want change!
BTW Laura has as much right as anyone else to state her opinion on this blog. Just because some of us do not kneel before the Clintons that does not mean we don't have a right to our opinion.

The former president introduced his wife on stage, declaring, "she still looks very beautiful."

What a womanizing, backhanded compliment to millions of women. Might as well said, "Old bats arent sexy."

Bill Clinton is running one of the biggest philanthropies in America contributing millions of dollars for AIDS charities proving needed medicines for sick people especially in Africa… Hillary is running for president in case you have not heard and they are going to need a LOT of money for the war chest to win the Whitehouse and turn this country around. They know they have to be prepared because of ignorance rampant in people like you.

You don't know me, please be respectful and not get personal. It's people like you that give "blogs" a bad reputation.

By the way, the money needed to pay for the "war chest" will be coming from taxes our pockets and her proposed tax hikes.

Unfortunately, the "Hollywood" community is greatly affected by Aids. Additionally, there are other charities in need of assistance. I wonder what the list of names of high paying attendees looks like? The fact remains the Clintons have enough money to pay for a private birthday party and certainly very well connected amongst the well-healed Liberal Hollywood and media mogul circles.

If Hillary pledged 10 Billion plus dollars to a charity or humanitarian cause the Republicans would find something wrong with it! Too bizarre.

Yet they never complain about the Billions Dubyah Bush is wasting and has wasted since he hit the White House.

<b>Posted By ria, New Jersey<b>
"I've asked this before and no Hillary supporter can give me a straight answer, "What credentials does she have to run this country?"

<b> Why are you asking ria? Why don't you just read. It's not difficult to get the information on Hillary's Leadership Credentials and Capabilities.<b>

"She is basing her campaign on 'experience', but what does she have? What is her resume? Can someone please tell me? Democrat in '09"

<b>A better question might be: What is George's resume? Can someone tell me what experience he had that put him in the White House?<b>

<b>And another question, who did you vote for in the last two
elections?<b> <b>If it was George Bush I don't know why experience would be so important to you this time around!<b>

Spend a million - make 1.5 - wow- how self sacrificing - and its all about YOU too.
I guess calling it a 'fundraiser' eases her conscous for what clearly is a self indulgent attention getter for the Clintons.
Wonder what Carbon Footprint that party left?

oh boo hoo, Republican Brian Walton thinks American taxpayers wish they won't have to pay for Hillary's $750 billion in addtl spending .. Hey Brian, how do you think American taxpayers, and every American family with a son or daughter in the military, feel about the untold billions the Bush Admin has spent, and continues to spend, on his personal war on Iraq? Our country has gone begging for health care & other vital services for years now, while we pour $$ down the bottomless pit of the Iraq war, with nothing to show for it except too many dead and wounded Americans. Brian needs a reality bite!

Meks,

All the praise for Yale Law, I guess you feel the same about Clarence Thomas. He wasn't even middle class, was raised by his grandparents and made it into Yale Law. He definitely has it going on too. You have a right to hate, but give Clarence his due;)

Have a good weekend

Hey CNN, why don't you substantiate the implication of your headline?! You call it a $1M bash. It sounds like a $1.5M FUNDRAISER to me (after actually READING the article). Isn't it clear from these comments that your headline has served to confuse the readers? You don't claim she SPENT a million, only that she raised a million plus. Funny how everyone is complaining about what she spent, which is never referenced outside of the IMPLICATION of the headline. Truly bad editing CNN.

Why not go to Sizzler and take the $999,990.00 and give it to charity. Or pay for your stupid museum.

DMW- Do you wish your husband was a sexual predator as well?

For such strong poll numbers amongst voters, she sure has alot of people who dislike her on these threads. Can you imagine what a Foxnews thread would look like?

To EDUARDO
Why not have the very rich and powerful Liberal "Hollywood" clan and Media Moguls pay for the party? Instead of a political fund raiser why not gather funds towards charity? And why can't her husband pay for the party? The Clintons have plenty of money to spend!

Set aside Mrs. Clinton's politics for a moment and consider what she said in regard to Mr. Giuliani and the New York Yankees.

Mrs. Clinton said, "I have been a fan, and I remain a fan of the New York Yankees. No Changes, no looking to curry favor with anyone else." People on both sides of the aisle should know that she grew up a Cubs fan. It was only when she became a New York senator that she developed a fondness for pinstripes. I am sure that Mr. Giuliani would still root for the Yankees if the Yankees were in the World Series!

Look past politics and examine character. While it might seem insignificant which team a presidential candidate roots for, her ability (or lack thereof) to remain consist and loyal must be considered.

In the end, people can root for whomever they want. However, it is easy to root for the Yankees because they are proven winners. The Cubs are not but if she kept her loyalties with Chicago, she'd at least still have my respect.

<b><i>How can people get behind an empty shell of a person who just tells them what they want to hear.

Posted By Laura - Tulsa, OK : October 26, 2007 2:01 pm </i></b>

Easy... All they have to do is join a political party. <i>Any political party...</i> Hasn't anyone ever told you how politics works? Politicians will say anything to get you to vote for them. They make promises they can't possibly keep, even if they actually tried. Then once they are elected they suddenly forget everything they promised the people that they would do, and start doing what the special interests pay them to do.

I have been kicked out of many political rallies for asking the very same question of many different candidates. They say <i>"If I'm elected I'll do this or that..."</i> and I always ask <i>"How are you going to pay for that?"</i> It's a simple, fair question, but it annoys the stuffin' out of politicians. So then they say you're a heckler and you get kicked out. Without getting an answer to the question, of course.

Anyone with half a brain knows that the only way the Government pays for anything is by collecting taxes. And they collect trillions of dollars in taxes ever year. The problem then is not how to get the money to pay for their proposals, but how to spend it because they already have it. Which brings me back to the same thing I eluded to in an earlier post. Government Waste.

Have you ever taken a really good look at how much Government Waste there is? There is a lot of it, believe me. So in my opinion, instead of fussing over Hillary Clinton's privately funded birthday party (which is only news because she's running for President, and actually isn't anyone's business anyway because rich people can and do spend their own money however they like, just like anyone else), they should instead be focusing on Government Waste which we all pay for, year after year, and we will continue to do so for generations to come. And that bothers me a whole lot more than a privately funded birthday party for someone who gets more interest on her bank account each year than some people make in a lifetime.

Laura, Tulsa OK:

Do you really know Mrs Clinton? Empty shell? Girl, you're either dumb or just barefaced liar. Mrs Clinton is a graduate of Yale Law School. Yale law school is the most competitive and most difficult Law School to get into and has been No.1 in US for decades. Look at the school's ranking for the past decades in USNEWS.com. Yale Law School is the epitome of academic and intellectual excellence. For a daughter of a middle-class family, the only way to get into Yale Law School was only by being extremely smart if not brilliant. What Harvard is to MBA and MIT to Engineering is what Yale is to Law. You have a right to hate but you don't have a right to distort another person's academic and intellectual record. For you information, she also had postgraduate study on 'children and medicine' and her first scholarly paper 'Children Under the Law' was published in Harvard Educational Review in 1973 and is one of the most frequently cited in that area till today.
Let me know how empty the shell is? You are really an ignorant, pathetic republican who cannot differentiate between I and 1. Vote whoever you want for all i care but don't come to public forum to spit your emptiness and waste space on this blog.

The headline is incorrect, the party was a fundraiser. Hillary did not "throw" a $1M party, she raised $1.5M for her campaign.

Eduardo in Los Angeles,

Mrs Clinton is raising more for charity towards the wildfire incident in California. I got a mail from her campaign early yesterday asking supporters to donate for the cause. I donated $10. She sent a mail to all registered supporters to contribute. Again, do not be fooled about the $1 million price tag for the party. It is a huge fabrication meant to boost ratings on CNN blog. They track messages received so they can get their traffic. No politician will spend $1 million dollars for a party to raise $1.5 million dollars. It is as usual a malicious, unsubstatiated and perhaps cruel story just for the purpose of ratings. I hope you can check out the veracity of the story on her efforts to raise money for the displaced people in California and hopefully spread the message.

You know, people constantly say that Hillary doesn't have the experience to be President! Did anyone forget that Ronald Reagan was an actor? Arnold Schwartzenegger is an actor. Fred Thompson is an actor. Seems to me that she's been in politics alot longer than any of these guys have been. And for your repubs that are gonna post, I know Arnold is not a presidential candidate. I was using him as an example.

If I close my eyes, will you go away? You're obviously inexperienced in your politics and in your research capabilities or else you would know that everything you just typed is inaccurate. Go chat on myspace or something where you'd be more in your league.

Hillary claims to want to "help" the poor of America i.e. raise taxes on the rich and re-distribute it. How hard is that? She really doesn't have any qualifications nor does she have executive experience. How can people get behind an empty shell of a person who just tells them what they want to hear.

Why not have the very rich and powerful Liberal "Hollywood" clan and Media Moguls pay for the party? Instead of a political fund raiser why not gather funds towards charity? And why can't her husband pay for the party? The Clintons have plenty of money to spend!

My question is "If everyone wants change in this country, why on earth would anyone vote for a republican who believes in tradition? Aren't change and tradition exact opposites. Dems are progressive people. Change will only come when we allow progression to succeed.

why is it that when a republican makes alot of money and spends it on senceless stuff they are greedy & self rightous, and the only way they got their money was off the backs of the poor. But hillary can say she is about the poor and hold a million dollar birthday party and its no problem? Im all for having fun birthday parties, but a million dollars?

What a cheap excuse to fundraise. It's pretty pathetic when you have to make your birthday the reason people give you money!
Posted By Ron, TX : October 25, 2007 6:27 pm

<b>I hope you had a problem with the $9.11 Giuliani's campaign had not so long ago.</b>

60 years old? Yuck! Does America want a granny in the oval office?
Posted By Albert, Detroit MI : October 25, 2007 6:44 pm

<b>President Regan was turning 70 at the start of your presidency..granny ?!?!
really ?!?!?!</b>

Besides the disconnect between her considering herself a woman of the people and throwing a $1 million birthday party to herself, she then says she is a Yankee fan and is not out to curry favor by saying so? I'd be surprised if she even knew what sport the Yankees play. The amount of pandering she engages in is both shameful and scary.

<b>I was looking at the thread posted about Guliani jumping ship and rooting for
the Red Sox, I didn't see you post anything about him pandering....</b>

And to all of you implied she should have given it to the poor
people etc etc. go do some online research, Google the Clinton Foundation,
and take some time to read. Who am I kidding no matter what you all are still
going to hate them. They have worked hard for their money, and who are we to judge
on how she celebrates her 60th

Happy Birthday Senator Clinton

" It is unbeliefable how many totally stupid Americans are fooled by the Clintons."

The CLINTONS? How about George "2-digit IQ" Bush? Talked about being fooled, you idiot. Bush should be impeached, tried for treason, and shot upon conviction. Cheney should just be dragged behind an SVU while the man he shot uses him for target practice.

Clinton as president made the U.S. admired around the world. Our Worst. President. Ever. has made us look like bloodthirsty tyrants, murdering innocent civilians in the name of NOTHING.

Hillary hasn't even been elected yet. What's YOUR excuse for voting for an inarticulate war criminal and anti-Constitution traitor?

"CNN's continued removal of multitudes of negative posts about Hillary undermines their unbiased credibility.."

I agree, SpinStarter. No matter how inane or filled with hatred and lies that your posts typically contain, CNN should publish all.

Anyone who thinks that our war criminal prez is doing a good job has no credibility on Hillary anyway.

What kind of Birthday party costs $1 million dollars? The media with their maalicious and unsubstantiated stories. Why would any politician spend $1 million dollars to raise $1.5 million? It either people posting comments here are hired professional bloggers of opponents or they are just dumb. Even if you decide to host the party on the new Airbus 340 for 12 hrs, it will still cost far less than $1 million. Please you guys should get real. This is just written for rating!!!
