Bush: Cheney's Darth Vader for Halloween

President Bush suggested Wednesday the vice president is going as Darth Vader this Halloween.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Even Vice President Dick Cheney is dressing up for Halloween - according to President Bush.

Speaking before a Grocery Manufacturers Association gathering Wednesday, Bush suggested his No. 2 is going as "Star Wars" nemesis Darth Vader this year - even though he's not wearing a costume.

"This morning I was with the vice president," Bush joked. "I was asking him what costume he was planning. He said, 'Well I'm already wearing it,' and then he mumbled something about the dark side of the force."

Cheney has often been likened to the infamous character, most recently by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at a fundraiser in September.

"You can always tell when the Republicans are getting restless, because the Vice President’s motorcade pulls into the Capitol, and Darth Vader emerges," the New York senator said.

Cheney himself addressed the comparison earlier this month, telling the Institute for Near East Policy, "Most of you knew me long before anyone called me Darth Vader.”

"I've been asked if that nickname bothers me, and the answer is, no," Cheney added then. "After all, Darth Vader is one of the nicer things I've been called recently."

Cheney should dress up as the southbound end of a northbound horse, because that's what he is!

Can't you just see it?... in the middle of some important meeting, Bush starts joking around and talking about how excited he is that it is Holloween... he he. Sure Darth mumbled... wishes he didn't have to put up with this idiot in order to run the country.

If Cheney is Darth Vader, what does that make Karl Rove? We all know that George W. Bush is Jar Jar Binks!

So doesn't that make Bush the Evil Emporer? Why dress up for Halloween, they are in full time roles. These aren't just costumes. They are sad realities we unfortunately have to live with for another year. GUH!

The GOP has more reason to be smiling today, as a new national general election poll has the Republican candidates strengthening.

Totally inappropriate – Darth Vader was once an honorable man, and in the end he turned on his evil overlord and saved the day.

Cheney, on the other hand is . . .

If Dick Cheney is Darth Vader, that makes Karl Rove the Emperor, and George W. Bush is Jar Jar Binks (exactly right, Yoda from Dagoba, IL).

Of course, this is assuming we are talking about this group of villians before the ending of Jedi when Darth Vader finally redeems himself. I'm thinking this is more the Empire Strikes Back crew, with Donald Rumsfeld in charge of torturing Han Solo and Chewbacca in the Cloud City.

So Bush jokes about it but what if Cheney wasn't ? What if he truly is the dark side of the force ? What if he's the 3rd anti-christ ?

Instead of Darth Vader, Cheney should dress up as something a little more appropriate...but as far as I know they don't make douchebag costumes.

    Report the real news!

Sibel Edmonds has just offered to break state secrets gag orders on her and face charges in exchange for an unedited interview!

You would think this would be news in a supposedly free society!

FBI translator and whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, the most gagged person in the history of the USA is willing to face charges, and wants to name names of people still in our Congress and government who were involved in corruption and TREASON prior to 9/11.

American history will prove that we critically needed Mr. Cheney's service these past 8 years. Thank you so much Mr. Cheney. It is because of you that we have 'true' respect from the Germans and the French now that Ahmadinejad is really being seen for what he is and Islamo-fascism is being seen for what IT is. Only because of you and President Bush are we in position to keep powerful, evil forces at bay. Hopefully, American leadership will continue in it's strength and zeal for lending a hand to countries where 'real' tight fisted rule is forcing those country's citizens to think, say, and do what they are told, or else. Weak, liberal gibberish will NOT win the day globally. America is looked on for it's strength. Hopefully, for a long time yet to come. Could any liberal expect to 'survive' in some of those countries? Let alone, speak out of their mind? Hardly. God Bless America. Please.

I think Mr. Chaney is a rough and tough person but at least he has a good sense of humor. This article and his comment made me laugh.

I find it quite revealing that even V.P. Cheney can see his obvious dark, diabolical, evil side. The alarming thing is he isn't pretending, this man is the very essence of evil, a villainous incubus, the lowest of the low. May the force be with him.
