As someone who loves Chinese culture and studied Chinese for 3 years, and spent 4 months traveling China... I can say several things about this.

First, the Chinese people are not necessarily enemies of America. There is definitely a rivalry, and a certain pride in their culture and nation. There is a degree of jealousy, but I don't think it would come to the point where they would support an outright war with the U.S. All of the interactions I had with people were friendly.

However, the Communists in control there still scare me. They have moderated quite a bit... but mostly on economic issues. Their mantra is stability. They also are eagerly attempting to steal any technology they can from the West, whether for economic or military purposes.

I completely agree with our current policy of economic engagement with China. But I think our trade agreements should be reviewed to see if they put our domestic industries at any disadvantage.

We should also be wary of investments from China into the U.S. It IS definitely a national security issue. Frankly, we should be wary of ANY foreign ownership of critical parts of our defense-related companies. But China clearly has a history of industrial espionage; I don't see how they wouldn't try to leverage any back door they could get.

That's why I support Huckabee for President. He believes in free trade, but fair trade. He wants us to be more independent and self-sufficient in producing our own food, fuel and defense technologies. And I believe his foreign policy would be tough but not belligerent. His foreign policy, which is close to Roosevelt's "speak softly and carry a big stick" would help defuse some of the envy and rivalry around the world, but still let enemies know that we are not to be trifled with.

Romney is no longer involved with Bain Capital just like Cheney is no longer involved with Halliburton.

Bush will collapse the American economy, Romney would finish selling America off, and "new world order" here we come!

Terry..the American people will never put up with learning Chinese, just like we refuse to learn Spanish. We are an English speaking country and it should be our first lanquage. If others want to speak another lanquage, fine, but don't expect us to know what you are saying or to be able to answer your questions.

Harry Truman conceived of the Containment of Communism policy that was followed by most of the presidents who followed him. It was, I think, a big reason why western Europe remained democracies, why the USSR eventually collapsed during George W. Bush's term, and why the eastern European nations like Poland are becoming democratic states. It was expensive (Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War), but it paid off for the world. God bless Harry Truman.

China was the solitary exception. Republicans Nixon and Bush (the good one) and Democrat Clinton led the nation into a commercial relationship with Communist China. Now the Chinese sell us the machines and appliances that we invented. Now China owns a huge portion of our national debt. Now, President Bush (the other one) is tough on Communist Cuba but he and our other leaders line up in their eagerness to smooch Communist backsides.

In addition to teaching our children English and Spanish, we'd better start teaching them Chinese.

DAN..No, you are not kidding. Rudy and Romney who we do not want. We do not want any more republicans in office. They are liars, incompetent, thieves and our ruining our country. I am very worried about them tampering with our voting machines.

I like Hunter and everything, but this point seems to be a simple swing-and-miss. Romney has already cut ties to the company and can't dictate their decisions one way or another.

The important question is, when Hunter drops out, who gets his share of the vote? Just kidding.

Elliot..Please calm down you are misspelling alot of words. As a Democrat to a Democrat we do not want Hunter or Ron Paul. It is okay to like them as a person, but not as a candidate. We must stick together and vote for OUR party. I think that HILLARY is an excellent choice and I am sure you will agree.

Hunter or Ron Paul, a tough decision between them. For peopl that have not been keeping tarct of things, China owns huge AMerican debt. Much of the 3 trillion $ extra bedt create by Prseidnet Chaney and his puppet have gone to buy all those cheap tacty products from China. Go to a Target stoer and try to find an appliance or lamp made any where else. Hunter is right on the mark in warning about China as well as his responsible position on expulsion of the criminal immigrants. Ron Paul for his credit, believes in the Constitution and ending the war for Iraqi oil, setting himself apart from W & cronies. That is why the big money behind the GOP consider both persa non grata. As a Democrat I would vote for either of these good men ahead of the Dem's who are all ready to continue the Bush era sell out of our jobs and borders.

Well, I have seen Duncan Hunter twice on Lou Dobbs. I like that man also, but I would never vote for him because I am a Democrat. I admire him for going after Romney and his "business ties".
