Romney launched a new ad Friday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is the latest presidential candidate to criticize New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, releasing a new ad Friday going after the Democratic frontrunner.

"Hillary Clinton wants to run the largest enterprise in the world," Romney says in the ad. "She hasn't run a corner store. She hasn't run a state. She hasn't run a city. She has never run anything. And the idea that she could learn to be president as an internship just doesn't make any sense."

Responding to the ad, Clinton spokesman Isaac Baker said, "Gov. Romney is a very experienced flip-flopper who has taken different positions on nearly every important issue facing the nation."

"Hillary Clinton is a two-term senator who has represented the United States in 82 countries around the world, and has been one of the nation’s leading advocates for children and families for 35 years," Baker added. "Trying to diminish her service isn’t going to help Mr. Romney’s weak and rudderless campaign."

Romney's ad starts airing in New Hampshire Friday.

"Hillary Clinton wants to run the largest enterprise in the world"
Last time I checked Mitt, your Mormon religion WANTS to be the biggest enterprise in the world. They're losing more and more members and potential converts because of all the light that has been shed on your cult in the past 15 years. If you succeed then Joseph Smith's so called "White Horse Prophecy will come true, and the Mormons can rule the world.

Frankly, I would prefer not to give my vote to Mr. Romney, who raised taxes so horrifically in Massachusetts. He seems to think that the US should be run like a money-making business. Oh, dear! Who will see to the poor? Mr. Romney is using tons of his own money to try to buy the presidency. I would dearly love to see a portion of his, and everybody else's, funds (including funds Bush spends on the war) going to adults and children who are impoverished, cleaning up the environment, and making sure health care is affordable.

Hillary hasn't run anything, but she sure has ridden a lot of coat tails. By the way when she was with Wal-Mart her Husband was Governor of the State where they have the Corporate Office. I wonder why they put her on the board probably because of her "experience" couldn't possibly be another coat tail ride.

john Ca   November 4th, 2007 10:33 pm ET

Hillary in the back seat? please, Willy was back there with another chick.

Shawnie Cannon, Grants Pass OR   November 4th, 2007 3:18 pm ET

Oletafive, Oleta, OK

Bull! You weren't originally going to vote for Romney and Hillary didn't run the country from the backseat.

Crawford, Lagrange Kentucky   November 4th, 2007 1:22 pm ET

watch the US population drop when she becomes president,
all the smart ones who voted for romney or any republican will move the canada!

Crawford, Lagrange Kentucky   November 4th, 2007 1:21 pm ET

ALSO
fine
vote for Hilary.
maybe with your votes she will only loose by 6 million!

Crawford, Lagrange Kentucky   November 4th, 2007 1:18 pm ET

Hillary Clinton doesn't have a CLUE about what goes on in the white house.
The ONLY experience she has had running anything, is when bill was president, and at that that is EXACTLY why she shouldn't become president!

Oletafive, Oleta, OK   November 4th, 2007 12:41 pm ET

Sorry Mitt, you are out in my house. You were doing fine until this comment. Hillery isn't my first choice, but she did run the country from the back seat from her husbands tenure. I believe such a lack of obvious insight to be a fatal character flaw.

Dan, Saint Louis, MO   November 4th, 2007 12:26 am ET

Canadian- You seem pretty confused. Don't mistake a necessary for a sufficient condition. I think it's clear that some executive experience is needed to be a good president. It doesn't necessarily mean that will make you a good president, but you don't have much luck without it.

If you're trying to insult Romney by comparing him to Reagan, I'm sure that's an insult he or any other candidate would welcome. Reagan was elected by the largest landslide since George Washington's 1st vote. I'm not sure if you are from Canada, but if so, read up on Reagan. Most people recognize him as one of our greatest leaders ever.

jw, canadian,ok   November 3rd, 2007 8:25 am ET

Well, your right Mitt, Hillary hasn't run a thing and it's about time we elected someone who hasn't. Let's see 'Dubya' ran Texas, Carter ran Georgia, Reagan ran California (and his mouth), so maybe running a state isn't a good yardstick.

Dr. RatStaR   November 3rd, 2007 12:09 am ET

I was drafted in 1972. Mitt went to France to do missionary. Mitt said his sons were doing service to the country by working for his campaign. Mitt said Mormons take care of Mormons. Time magazine ran a great expose of the Mormon corporation called Mormons Inc. National Geographic says Joseph Smith is full of it.

Fred, Bloomington MN   November 2nd, 2007 10:26 pm ET

Romney is a complete non-factor when all is sadi and done. He can spend millions to swing Iowa and Maybe NH, but he is not a national candidate. He would not even carry his own state of Mass against any democrat. Bottom line, Romney is just another Bush. That wont work in the North, South, East or West.

Val Davydov, Agawam, MA   November 2nd, 2007 10:15 pm ET

Listen to this, this is GOOD: Clinton spokesman Isaac Baker said, "Gov. Romney is a very experienced flip-flopper who has taken different positions on nearly every important issue facing the nation."

Mr. Baker, as a spokesman for Hillary, should be ashamed of himself for bringing this up as Hillary has flipped-flopped on every single issue so far. Hillary CANNOT use flip-flopping against Romney – she is DOOMED if she keeps it up.

Laura Tulsa, OK   November 2nd, 2007 8:51 pm ET

you'll notice Baker says Hillary has "service" record, but that is just a smokescreen for her ability to start or expand social programs aka. raising taxes or moving tax money around. THAT's not leadership.

Tom Dedham, Mass   November 2nd, 2007 7:59 pm ET

Hey "Isaac" Baker, Your exactly right, Shrillary doesn't flip flop over a period of years based on experience like Mr Romney has done (who thinks exactly like they did 10 years ago?), nope, she does it during a debate, a sentence, a second, a minute, a venue or a polling.

It is where Romney is at now that matters, and by her performance the other night frankly NOBODY including Shrill knows where she is at.

Be afraid sheep, what he says is totally correct, she had NEVER run anything, NOTHING, Romney on the other hand has. She couldn't even run her own family.

White house material, please.

She did have part in some investment schemes that turned a $1000 into $100,000 overnight but they don't count, she did get healthcare passed, no that was Romney, hers failed.....

If you think Democrats can bring up anything on him that is even close to the amount that we can on her, your as crazy as Dennis K.

Please, nominate her. The dirt will make nice mud, real easy.

Biggdawg, Chicago, Illinois   November 2nd, 2007 7:55 pm ET

Right on, Sue in Michigan! Clearly Hillary is the one to beat, and she's up to the challenge like nobody's business.

Keep it comin' fellas. Your omni-directional attacks only validate Clinton as the unquestionable frontrunner.

Mrs. America   November 2nd, 2007 6:56 pm ET

Sounds like he figures it will be he and Clinton going into the general election. I'm afraid he's only half right. Right now, he should be concentrating on the primaries, not the general election.

Sue in Michigan   November 2nd, 2007 6:44 pm ET

Ah, Hillary, one would think you are running a campaign in both parties, the way all the wannabees are after your every word. She must be doing something right to garner this much press in every speech.

richard,Derry, NH   November 2nd, 2007 6:32 pm ET

I get scared when I think Americans can elect this guy. Find out why!

D. Dietrich, Memphis, Tennessee   November 2nd, 2007 5:59 pm ET

As a former Mormon of 20 years, it is easy to see from life within that organization how Hitler, and Stalin rose to power.

Members are required to sustain unquestioningly, and are watched over by each other like hawks. If a visiting or home teacher does not like what he or she sees in your home, you are hauled in to see the Fuhrer.

The Corporation of the President of the Mormon Church is doing just what Romney is accusing Hilary of wanting to do.

Careful, this guy is a harsher tyrant than Bush Junior.

Colin742   November 2nd, 2007 5:57 pm ET

Mitt is right. Hillary has not run a corner store. Sam Walton, once the richest man in the world, based on her competence, appointed Hillary as the first female director of Wall-Mart, the largest company in the world. As for the foolish “internship” remark, after 8 years of observing and learning White House operations, she is the only candidate who knows exactly what she and all on the staff should be doing from day one. While she has not been THE governor of a state, she was much involved in state matters, particularly education and health care and even wrote and presented proposed legislation to legislators.
If I was one of these Republican candidates I would be looking for a reason to drop out because when you face Hillary you will look like a fool and that will make you feel incompetent and inferior for the rest of your life.

Josh Maloney, Oakland, CA   November 2nd, 2007 5:51 pm ET

Get a clue, Romney ! You are fighting a losing battle, buddy. You aren't going to win and you might as well get used to Madam President because she's going to make a great one.

MS Johnson City, TN   November 2nd, 2007 5:46 pm ET

She can do at least one thing that Mr. Romney has't done as well as her so far.
Raise money!

summus   November 2nd, 2007 5:08 pm ET

Dear Republicans

Please choose Romney

Corbett, Seattle WA   November 2nd, 2007 4:40 pm ET

She's run a tighter campaign than you Mr. Borrowed $20 Million From Myself and Still Can't Top Rudy "Laughing Stock" Guilliani.

jo, ATL GA   November 2nd, 2007 4:40 pm ET

This guy does not understand he has to win his party normination first right?

You have Rudy to fight. Loser.

Jessica Chub, Miami, FL   November 2nd, 2007 4:20 pm ET

Hey! Flip Flopper, first you win your nomination from your party and then talk about Hillary. And, if your assumption is right, then why a Harvard grduate MBA president who ran the second biggest state, Texas, is a dismal failure?

Karl   November 2nd, 2007 4:10 pm ET

Both Hilary and Romney are flip floppers. Period.
