"Can anyone spot the hacks from moveon.org who are spreading their tripe among these comments? So far, I spotted Jake from
San Diego CA, Larry from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Richard from West Palm Beach, FL and Demonweed."

As much as I am gratified to be included in the company of such articulate folks , I must tell you , Dave T, Cleveland, Ohio , that I am not a hack for moveon.org and have never even visited their website . I am simply a concerned citizen who feels an obligation to speak out when I see people taking our country down a dead end road . If you really enjoy a conspiracy theory , check out the Kennedy assassination .

No one has claimed that Congress got a different report than Bush. Bush just chose which intelligence reports he liked and passed on. He didn't like Joe Wilson's report, so he ignored it and someone in the administration outed Joe's wife. Bush didn't like a $200 billion estimate of the war cost so he fired the source on the spot. He didn't like Colin Powell's "Pottery Barn" analogy and ignored it. It is also a FACT that many in the Bush adminstration have been on record as advocating war against Iraq since years BEFORE 9/11. They just needed an excuse.

Bush was on duty when 9/11 happened. Every intelligence report available to Bill Clinton on his last day in office were available to Bush on his first day in office. Bush had EIGHT MONTHS to prevent 9/11 and FAILED. He was so unconcerned about an attack that George Tenet testified he had not been in touch with Bush during the MONTH before 9/11 because Bush was ON VACATION. Then, when 9/11 happened, Bush sat and read "The Pet Goat" while hundreds of Americans died in our cities. It was one of the most disgraceful performances by a "military leader" in history.

"Alert! Alert! Wayne from Greenville TX and Richard from West Palm Beach, FL appear to be a couple of hacks from moveon.org that prowl the comment sites and spew their tripe. I believe they are a couple of Hillary's morons that defame OBAMA every chance they get"
------------
Alert! Alert! Beware of people who attack others without actually checking ANY FACTS. There have been TWO comments from Richard from West Palm Beach about Obama and they both actually BLASTED the gullible people who believe Obama is a Muslim and refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Their nonsense is only exceeded by those who do not actually read comments. It is irresponsible for anyone claim that others belong to organizations they don't and that they are morons because they don't support the same candidate.

Those who viciously wage a war between Hillary and Barack need to use their heads. Half of you will lose. Will you then say "Nevermind. Vote Democrat anyway" or "vote Republican"? Tearing down each other only helps to convince independents that neither is worthy and they are the ones who WILL DETERMINE who our next president is. Start thinking!

Obama is a joke. No experience, no class, and clearly, no common sense. He is a wet behind the (big) ears rookie who will get trounced in the primaries, no matter how much the liberal media boosts him.

Richard Cheney is a sick man. He has advanced heart disease and an angry, paranoid mind. I'm not being facetious about this. I believe his sickness has affected the policy decisions of this administration. I'm not attacking the guy, I'm saying his personality changes that prompted former Bush Senior aide Brent Scrowcroft to say that he no longer knows Dick Cheney, are the reason so many reckless decisions were made in the Oval office. Cheney's clearly in charge of policy decisions at the White House. That's the whole point! A dangerous mind needs to be prevented from doing further damage to America. Otherwise, we can find ourselves in another crazy man's war...this time in Iran. Do you really think shooting someone (even an alleged friend) in the face doesn't have an element of unconscious anger? Many seem to be using this opportunity to blast Obama for yucking it up at Cheney's expense. I'm no fan of Obama, but I do know Richard Cheney is crazy. I think Obama is just saying what many in Congress already know but don't talk about because it could damage Republicans in the next election.

You mean to tell me that your guys on the left read a different intelligence report? So the Bush administration got to pick and chose what was on that report? This is the SAME report that was brought to the house and senate. This is the same report John Kerry and Senator Clinton read. This is the same intelligence that President Clinton received before ordering the strikes on Iraq. So.. this is all a right wing conspiracy huh?? Bush and Cheney are laughing it up with a jar full of white out erasing what they want from intelligence reports. Come on guy! You've got to do better than that! If that were the case then that would mean that the President of the United States has been actively engaged in a conspiracy to deceive and mislead the United States Congress and the American people about the basis for going to war against Iraq. If true, such conduct constitutes a High Crime under Article II, Section 4 of the United States Constitution: “The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Now… this is NOT the case therefore, your rhetoric and left wing talking points are untrue and unfounded. You and I both know that Bush and Cheney are not guilty of high crimes under these articles and will NEVER be tried for such nonsense. You still fail to comment about President Clinton’s words and actions…… Please enlighten us.

You can hate Cheney's politics, much as I dislike the Clintons' politics --- but comparing him to Eichman? That is beneath contempt. It's too bad we can't have rational debate anymore.

It is hard to imagine what motivates the moronic and ill-informed grunting in this thread. So many one-liners seem born only of hate, yet those that try to present some sort of fact only wind up presenting a falsehood. What sort of citizen is not only mean and stupid, but also proud to flaunt mean stupidity in a public forum?

Anyway, I thought a couple of points made by mean stupid people deserved addressing. "Madrassa" is simply another word for "school." Insofar as it has come to mean a school of Islamic fundamentalism, promoting severe views including hostility toward the west, the term clearly does not apply to any institution where young Barack Obama studied. The actual place in Indonesia at issue teaches students of many religions, and the primary focus is on conventional scholarship rather than religious study. It as a school, but in no way was it an institution for advancing a particular faith, let alone a particular perversion of that faith.

Speaking of which, since when did it become fashionable for Christians to lie and spew so much hatred into the world? Barack Obama was obviously not the one member of our legislature to be sworn in on a Qur'an. There is the lie that it strains plausibility to imagine any adult intent on discussing civics would actually be stupid enough to believe.

Then there is also all this hatred in evidence on this thread. How many of today's Christians are really so insecure and xenophobic that they would favor a "compassionate conservative" whose idea of compassion is to aggressively promote the use of torture abroad and whose idea of conservatism is to make the nation obsessed with terrorist threats (i.e. to help the terrorists accomplish their goal of terrifying Americans) then break new ground in the history of government overspending. However nasty people feel a "tax and spend" approach may be, a "borrow and spend" approach is actually much worse for the economy, and by extension also future tax rates.

As a final note, I wonder how many of these venomous liars were on the Ann Coulter bandwagon back when Bill Clinton did respond to the Al Qaeada threat. People who are not totally clueless about the subject may remember that, on Dick Clarke's advice, Bill Clinton did attack several suspected Al Qaeada targets with surgical strikes. Almost as soon as this activity started, the right wing noise machines rolled out in full force with cries of "wag the dog."

Pundits and pseudojournalists were so obsessed with inflating the importance of a Presidential sex scandal that they were relentless in the call to end American responses to the Al Qaeada threat. It is true Clinton could have shown more courage and carried on with the attacks, but it is also true that dealing responsibly with the threat was denounced by the Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, and pretty much all of their kindred on the conservative side of the political misinformation business. If people today are ignorant enough to swallow the "Obama's a closet Muslim" talking point, it seems almost certain at that time they also would have swallowed the "attacking Al Qaeada is just a distraction to take Ken Starr's vital investigation out of the headlines." My question for the peanut gallery is, how many times do these dittoheads have to swallow and regurgitate obvious lies before they begin to recognize the bitter taste of it all?

I don't believe that Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, or Ann Coulter are running for president. They get paid for offering their opinions. They are not politicians, Barack Obama, although not a good one, unfortunately is.

IN answer to this:
"Obama is not and never has been Muslim ..Posted By Mike, Cleveland, OH : November 4, 2007 11:42 am "

Obama was born to a Muslim father, and a Christian mother. Muslims would consider Obama to be born a muslim. His mother remarried to another muslim, and they moved to Indonesia where Obama had early schooling. In that muslim country parents are required to declare their religion, and the religion of their children. The schools are religiously based. It is very likely that Obama attended a madrassa in his early years. The information about his first schooling has never been publicized, only his later schooling after his mother left his step father.

Katie Couric's Notebook on the CBS news site dated 04-11-07 quotes a childhood friend (unnamed) who said he and Obama prayed together in the mosque, but 'not seriously' and that Obama also prayed with Catholic schoolmates. This is unusual for Indonesia where you go to jail for preaching Christianity to muslims as it is a crime to attempt to convert muslims there. You can get the death penalty. The real truth about young Obama's background is open because the detailes are totally obscure. That tells me he was likely truley raised as a muslim in those years

Hopefully, Cheney's little pinky realizes it makes no sense whatsoever that a person running for president of the United States would refuse to take the Pledge of Allegiance. That rumor is total NONSENSE for people uninterested in truth.

If anyone actually cares, films show that Barack, like a lot of people, did not put his hand over his heart for the NATIONAL ANTHEM in the circulated picture. Films also show that he sang along with the whole anthem and applauded at the end. He DID NOT REFUSE to say the pledge and stopped wearing his flag pin because he felt there were too many people wearing it who were hypocrits. Wake up!

His "take no prisoners" approach is just what we needed post 9/11. He is a true patriot and will be recognized by virtually everyone 20 years from now. As to why he has not been impeached? On what grounds? Because my good friends on the Left don't like the guy? Not good enough, boys and girls....

Dick Cheney is an easy target for libs to take shots at because he has always been willing to do the heavy lifting that most libs can't or won't do. Unlike many limo-libs, Cheney is a self made man who rose from poverty and donates most of his wealth to charity. Its a lot easier to be a liberal, the expectations are lower.

Obama needs to concentrate on his message, not disparaging others. He is at his best when he stays on message and does not engage in personal attacks against the other party. I am a Republican, but Obama could be the second Democrat that I have ever voted for. Carter was the first and look how that turned out.

Lol! But lets keep the headlines about whats really important Mr. Obama. Let's keep the spotlight going on Hillary Rotten Clinton. She needs to be taken down and you are the man this country needs. Your crazy uncle will soon be put out to pasture but Hillary is the country's true enemy. With her baggage and hidden secrets that she wants left hidden, She is ripe for the knockout. Go Obama!

Leave it to the democrats to do nothing but put forth petty insults.

Petty insults are the stock-in-trade for such right-wing loonies as Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, and all the others. And Ann Colter has made a career out of petty insults.

Once again, a right-winger has literally shot himself in the foot by spewing something on this site that has no basis in fact. Like so many conservative positions…..

It is scary to think that there may actually be people paranoid enough to think that a president could change the religion of our nation. It shows an incredible lack of knowledge of the composition of our people and a total absense of understanding how our government works. People who say they believe in God brag that they make up 85% of the population and yet some are so ignorant that they think a small minority religion can out-vote them and take over the country. This is not Germany or other nations where leadership can be illegally grabbed. This is a nation where the people VOTE to decide who will lead it.

Wake up! Learn about the candidates. Don't believe in racist smears, but actually look at FACTS. Barack Obama is a Christian who has been attending United Church of Christ in Chicago since the mid 1980's. THERE IS NOT ONE FACT TO SUPPORT ANY CLAIMS THAT ANYTHING HE HAS DONE IN HIS ADULT LIFE INDICATES THAT OBAMA IS A MUSLIM. Look it up! Think for yourself! Think!

Amazing how democrats can accuse the opposition of 'hate speech' when no insult, or slanderous accusation about the president or vice president is too extreme or taboo. Talk aboout a seperate reality! I was no fan of Bill Clinton, but i didnt hate him, but this is how some behave, simply because they lost two elections. A pity, because what goes around comes around, just give it time!

Obama is unfit to lead anything more important than a grammar school parade, much less to criticize a man of Cheney’s accomplishments. The left wing nutters posting here remind me of the white trash racists of a bygone era, who felt superior to blacks, not by virtue of their own accomplishments, but by their presumption of superiority inherent in their skin color. Likewise, do the wretched leftists feel themselves so superior in their political affiliations to slander a sitting vice president and former Fortune 50 CEO.

Funny (HA HA), heard it before. I see the crazy uncle in the attic being anyone that would vote for an untested senator who hasn't even completed one term. I believe that he was going to end his political career if he didn't win the senate seat. Let’s face it, if he was not black he would not even be a blip on the screen.

No one has ever claimed that Cheney doctored intelligence reports. The administration just picked and chose those they liked. When Joe Wilson came up with conflicting information, they ignored him and outed his wife. When top economic adviser Larry Lindsey said he thought the war could cost $200 billion, they fired him within 24 hours.

We have had more soldiers killed in a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11 than Americans who died in 9/11. Al qaeda was under control in Iraq until Bush made it easier for them. As analysts pointed out, bin Laden released his first message in a year just days before the American election in a move that clearly helped Bush. Obviously, bin Laden felt he could generate more supporters using Bush as president than a newcomer. After all, it was Bush who said that he wasn't all that concerned about bin Laden.

Cheney hasn't always been wrong. After the Gulf War when they actually knew Saddam had WMD, Cheney said "How many additional dead Americans is Saddam worth? Our judgment was, not very many, and I think we got it right". "Once you got to Iraq and took it over, took down Saddam Hussein's government, then what are you going to put in its place? That's a very volatile part of the world, and if you take down the central government of Iraq, you could very easily end up seeing pieces of Iraq fly off". "It's a quagmire if you go that far and try to take over Iraq.". If only he was smart enough to listen to himself.

Old Cheney really needs to retire from the VP Post. I know it's late in this administration but he should never have been given the opportunity to be on Bushster's ticket. His health problems were always life threatening. It's just the first of many infinitely bad decisions Dubya made. Of course, the jury is still out as to who in fact chose Cheney to be on the ticket (i.e., the nation's oil/war-profiteering pirates). Cheney likely has always been on heavy cardiac meds and drinks alcohol on hunting trips. Such serious vulnerabilities affect sound decision making and the VP's job performance affects all U.S. citizens. Long-term heart disease (3 heart attacks) means compromised blood flow to the brain. I'm telling you, this guy needs to go before his paranoid mind sends our kids to die in Iran. Halliburton$$$ got what he intended for them, now JUST LEAVE D.C.!

I agree that a presidential candidate needs to be careful about name-calling. It was insensitive for him to use the term, "crazy" in his description. Leave mental illness jokes out of the picture. People struggling with such issues have a hard enough time in our society.
