You have no idea what you are talking about. Yes, Colin Powell was very reserved about the war, but he is not "against" it. Powell is a soldier, and he has repeatly said the decision of a war rest on the president, and it is never his position to "for or against" a war. He never made any recommendation on going or not going to Iraq. He only warned Bush about "If you break it, you owe it", which is once we invaded Iraq, it is our responsbility and we cannot leave until the job is done. Powell's view is completely opposed from you, so stop lying about what Powell believes. There is a very good reason why Colin Powell donated $2300 (maxmium allowed) to John McCain in this election, and nobody else. Maybe you can explain to me why he donate his money to the only pro-war and pro-surge, most hawkish candidate.

As for Iraqis, most Sunnis prefers Saddam, but overall, most Iraqis still prefer this chaos than Saddam. Kurds certainly do not want the old days, and neither the Shias. Since Kurds and Shias made up the 80% of the population, you are just wrong. There is a recent poll on Iraqis, and again the poll shows Iraqis feel still prefer today than Saddam.

Hey Brad, what about all those members of G.W.'s own party who've lept off his train? The truth is–the President launched this ill-advised war against the views of many senior military generals, and even his own State Department secretary. Instead of listening to the logic–he (childlessly) eliminated all dissent by making those people resign or firing them and replacing them with "yes people". Well now the yes men (and women–sorry ladies) are gone, his true-blue and loyal advisors (those people he forced to leave or fired remember)are not advising him any more. He cannot change course, he cannot accept that his prosecution of this war was a very serious and stupid mistake because it would brung great discredit to his own place in history–and to the political efforts of the whole GOP for decades to come. So like a man strapped to a train–he holds on tight and prays he can turn this over to somebody soon!! You see, he can't give up. I don't think he really cares who gets elected–he just wants the monkey off of his own back! In summary, everybody around him with the exception of a few–have quit. He can't so he hangs on. Even Cheney is hiding away like G.W. has the plague!! But, the civilians (kids too) in Iraq are still suffering and dying, our troops are still dying and getting maimed/disabled, the situtation is definitely not better. In fact, I think most Iraqi's would prefer old Saddham back–he was brutal, and he was corrupt–but he kept food on the table and the electricity and water on. And there was relative security and peace for the average Iraqi. His arrogance and naive assessments of the aftermath of his actions caused all this–an he will deserve be run out of the White House when it comes. The sooner the better.

The troops HAVE our undivided support. What we do not support are policies that put them in harms way for no reason and into a fight that has no military solution. Bush likes to use our volunteer military to shame us into feeling guilty for disagreeing with his failed policies. If you ask me the people who use the military to propogate their own agenda are the ones who don't support the troops.

If you were a reputible – you would release the number of individuals polled, their declared affiliation, and the specific questions you asked. Instead you hide all the facts (aside from the number of polled persons) and expect readers to believe your "objectivity".

I have an idea CNN, post real news stories like how the last three or four months our fighting men and women have done an incredible job in Iraq and the FACT is the surge is working and we are HAVING measurable results.

Report the REAL news and then take your polls and see what people think when they are told the good and yes, the bad as well.
