When flag poles attack

Clinton had to contend with falling flag poles at a press conference Monday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - She has come under increased heat recently from her Democratic presidential rivals, but on Sunday Sen. Hillary Clinton was on the receiving end of a different kind of attack - falling flag poles.

The Democratic presidential frontrunner was wrapping up a press conference in Waterloo, Iowa when several large flag poles directly behind her started to fall down, as shown on a video posted by ABC News.

Aides came rushing to the stage as Clinton herself tried to handle the falling flags crashing around her.

"I think the bases are not weighted enough," the New York senator can be heard saying on video captured by ABC.

After a couple minutes, the flags were successfully stabilized.

Its so funny that right wingers don't have any policy issues to talk about. So, stories like Edward Hair Cut, Obama's posture on "Pledge of Allegiance" on a dias and now "Flag poles falling during Hillary campaign" will give them something to talk about. But, americans are not going to be fooled again this time as happened in 2004 by Swift Boaters ads. Whetehr it be Hillary, Obama, or Biden, people are going to vote on issues and not on these tabloid stories. Its a good omen for Hillary! She or the other democrats will restore the image these falling flags happened during Bush regime.

This is stupid. The next president of the U.S. The first female president of America. She's being attacked by flagpoles. I bet you someone made a booby trap.

Hillary appears to the most responsible presidential candidate of all, even when the flag poles fall?

Yes, she is, and will be, also responsible for the downfall of obama, edwards, and the republican nominee.

Hillary doesn't care about the flag, see how she and her crew laugh about it. You'd think she look around to see if anyone got knocked by the flagpole, or see that they are righted back to their positions. What does she do? Walk away from the prob.

I gotta quote Jan LA CA – "At least she didn't stand there and let them fall. Or continue reading a children's story about goats. I'm sick of these stupid stories about nothing."

When she said the bases were not strong enough, she was talking about her campaign.

Hillary will divide the country in such a terrible way. She will seriously hurt our country on so many levels. Remember people, just because things aren't going peachy, doesn't mean things can't go horribly worse.

Its fate. It's truly the hand of George Washington himself reaching down to smite the pretender to the oval office.

Even George Washington knows that Barack Obama is the man for the job.

She said the bases weren't "weighted" enough, not that they weren't "strong" enough. I'm sure her voter base weighs plenty, and they probably don't fall over unprovoked.

Seriously people, stop trying to wax prophetic. Mechanical failures are not news.

If Hillary is elected president, we will look back on this event as the foretelling of the downfall of the United States of America. She is the worst thing that could possibly happen to this country. Bill was a terrible Commander in Chief, he refused to allow our soldiers to us Armor in Somalia (Black Hawk Down) because he thought it would be to "high profile". Bill stood by while 1,000,000 men, women, and children were slaughterd in Ruwanda and he spent over a month debating the definition of "Genocide". It's all on tape. One million lives later, Bill later recounted that he could have saved half a million people if he had sent in 5-10,000 marines. That's all it would have taken! He could have saved innocent lives in Somalia and Ruwanda. But in typical Clinton form, he played the political hand. Please America, do not let the Clintons back into the Whitehouse.

Oh for God's sake. Don't you see that this story was presented to you precisely to elicit your "how strange, how revealing, how stupid-am-I" comments? You are being manipulated people. Wake up. And I am not a Hillary supporter either, just to nip that come back in the bud, but I am not a Hillary hater either. The MSM wants a fight because it makes them money. If Clinton is a done deal, and regardless of whether or not Dems say so, it is in the MSM's interest to hype a fight, hype devision, and hype the uber-hyped-up-anti-Clinton RW sentiment. Stop and think where the money is. Frankly, I will vote Dem no matter which one is nominated. Does anyone want more of what we have? Does anyone want what the GOP field is offering us? No, not if your sane. Don't let the MSM manipulate you. Be independent! Don't be told what to think.

I hear Ms. Rodham's opponents are cueing up the video for their own campaigns! How funny. 🙂

Bill just submitted it to America's Funniest Home Videos too.

BTW, how can Ms. Rodham be considered president when not even one single primary vote has been cast?????

    RODHAM 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, there is a sign, even flags bowed to Hillary and showed their respect to her, the next President.
You, people are silly and your comments are a pure invention.

For those who use this instance as a means to criticize Clinton, it's simply some flags falling over. And the answers she gives are straight forward. If you can't understand the complexity of the decisions that need to be made, it looks ridiculous and uneducated of you to simplify it as "she's a liar/fraud". It's people like you who voted Bush into office, and look at where we're at: a war that's funded by BORROWED money, a failed No Child Left Behind program, vetoed CHIP measure on the basis of fiscal discipline (whatever).
