The difference between this president and all the others is that this president used the ignorant lie – disproven by inspectors and others who knew – to waste the lives of nearly 4,000 American citizens – more than died on September 11 – an countless Iraqis. He has made the world markedly more dangerous and our country more vulnerable. And he has spent a trillion dollars doing it. And all we've gotten out of it is a violation of our Constitutional rights.

I'm not even a Hillary supporter, but why in the world should we care what a tv producer thinks about politics? I wouldn't want to hear sports commentary from Nancy Pelosi and I certainly don't want this idiots opinion about the presidential election.

Why in the world do other Hollywood types get threads about how they support Mrs Clinton? All of Hollywood should stay the hell out of politics, and most of them vote and send money to Democratic Party programs. Be careful what you wish for.

Some of you need to learn how to read. The article does not incorrectly report that Garofalo is going to play the President.
As for those of you blasting Surnow for his opinion. I'm a liberal who watches 24 faithfully. I know what his views are and I don't care. He's perfectly entitled to them and if he has a platform to voice them then good for him. There's room in this country, and in Hollywoodland, for different opinions. I just wish that, as we are seeing the large number of conservatives in media, that we can stop talking about this liberal media nonsense that never existed to begin with.
For those of you who say that the show endorses torture then it's obvious that you don't watch. It explores the intricacies of interrogation. Those instances where torture occurs usually have a negative result.
