Iowa college student speaks out

Watch Mary Snow's report on CNN's exclusive interview with the student at the center of the Clinton planted question controversy.

(CNN) - CNN Iowa Producer Chris Welch landed an exclusive interview with Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff, the Grinnell College student who asked Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, a question planted by her campaign staff at an event last week in Iowa.  Mary Snow reports on why Gallo-Chasanoff chose to speak out and how the incident may impact Clinton's presidential bid.

why are we shocked that the Clinton camp fed a question to an audience member? President Bush has so-called news conferences where ALL of the questions are pre-arranged.

Sounds as if Ms Gallo-Chasanoaff has just wasted her 15 minutes of fame on a non-issue. Nice going.

I have no concerns about the "planted question" after listening and watching the President do it constantly for the past 7 years. What I do have a problem with is why this young woman decided to take part in the questionnng at all if she finds it so repugnant and then to take it to the press afterwards? Sorry, but you can't have it both ways....if she thought it was terrible for Iowa citizens then she should have declined taking parrt at all unless she could offer her own question with no restrictions.

    Exactly!!!

Bush isn't trusted and if we embrace the idea of being run roughshod over by a President from the other party, just get behind Hillary. To me, it's apparent that we NEED more choices. More choices might make it difficult for lobbyists and special interests to BRIBE our politicians. After all, if there are too many contenders, the lobbyists might as well just send money to every one of us. Then we could all feel like politicians.

That may be true, but Democrats have been portraying themselves as beyond reproach. It's a riot to watch her supports twist and squirm to justify her hypocrisy

HOW SHOCKING... Hillary says she didn't know.

Amazing she called on the only college student in the crowd and got one of her 10 preplanned questions.

Gosh – Hillary must be the luckiest woman in the whole world. Sounds like she could take $1000 and in a few months turn it into $100,000 in the complicated world of financial futures having NEVER traded before.

    Wait! She did that too.

    (eyes rolling)

Do we really want another Clinton administration?????

I always thought a young college student would bring down the Clintons, but I thought that Bill would be involved "somehow".

He must be to busy these days doing the usual Clinton damage control, those "mean" boys, she is being "swiftboated" etc, etc.

You losers who are tearing this wholly innocent girl down for speaking the truth are the "true Clinton kool-aid drinkers".

Is she part of the "vast right-wing conpiracy" or perhaps the "left" or a planted Obama supporter?

She could get caught on tape robbing a church with a KKK shirt on while whistling dixie and you sheep would explain it all by blaming the church for having money laying around, picket the T shirt manufacturer and hammering the song writer.

    Pathetic as all hell.

It is very important. Planting questions during a very serious primary race for the Presidency of the United States? I guess Hill and Bill still don't get the integrity of the office. It is SHAMEFUL.
