Giuliani highlights leadership in new ad

Rudy Giuliani has released a new ad focused on his time as mayor of New York City.

NEW YORK (CNN) – Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani released a new campaign ad Monday touting himself as the best leader and most “tested” of the candidates hoping to win the race to the White House.

“I’ve been tested in a way in which the American people can look to me,” Giuliani says in the ad. “They’re not going to find perfection, but they’re going to find somebody who has dealt with crisis almost on a regular basis and has had results. And in many cases, exceptional results.”

In the ad, Giuliani promotes his resume, pointing out that he served as a U.S. Attorney and as an official in the Justice Department. Although he doesn’t mention 9/11 directly, the GOP presidential hopeful highlights that he was the mayor of New York during a “time of crisis.”

The ad will run in New Hampshire and Boston starting Monday.

The most "tested"? Of what?? Standing/walking around the Ground Zero area pretending he's a conquering hero? Any politician would have toured the sight so he stands out in no special way. He'd might as well just stand there like a mannequin with his mouth saying "9/11" "9/11" "9/11" "Oh and by the way, a religious fanatic/zealot who doesn't know what the heck he's talking about endorsed me"

For anyone doubting, Giuliani will deliver results. Whether they're mediocre or horrific results doesn't (or didn't) matter, as long as he can deliver!

Rudy Giuliani is appearing very weak in new polls in Missouri and Minnesota where is he crushed by both Obama and Clinton.

Giuliani will appoint more conservative judges to an already ultra-right wing Supreme Court. Women and minorities need to be alarmed when they hear this. Giuliani is the leadership America really does not need. If we elect Giuliani as president we are telling ourselves that we don’t respect a woman’s right to choose. We are telling ourselves that it is fine for employers to discriminate based on race, gender, creed and sexual orientation. Are we willing to compromise Civil Rights and Women’s Rights for a 911, fear selling charlatan?

Some conservatives say that they believe in equal opportunity, but when it comes down to legislating hate they turn away and pretend like it doesn’t exist. Some conservatives say they are pro-choice, but Giuliani has already said that he will appoint another Scalia or Alito or Roberts to the Supreme Court. Oh my! That will be the end of Roe v. Wade. Smile in our faces all you want. We know what Republicans are known to do best. Bush told us that he was not interested in “nation building” and look where we are today. WE CAN’T TRUST REPUBLICANS.

When Hillary is done with the other knucklehead Democrats she better get at Giuliani and exploit him for the wolf in sheep’s clothing he is. Giuliani is a typical right winger who will smile in your face then stab you in your back before you can wink. Americans are too cool for that. We must restore the progressive values that have made us stand out from the rest of the world. WE ARE NOT SAUDI ARABIA. WE BELIEVE IN FREEDOM.

What has this guy done? He's been tested? Are you kidding me? Any and all NYC elected officials should have made 9/11 a priority; he is no different. Just because he stood at press conferences as the cities MAYOR does not mean he's been tested...he just did his JOB...what a bone head.

Stop using 9/11 as if you saved lives...you are not a hero; the people who died that day, the firefighters and the police officers are the heros.

Where does he get off on saying he's been tested? If that's the case we were all tested that day!

A mayor's job in any city would have been to do what he did so he is no different then what any other mayor would have done. Did he forget that he was elected to protect that city?!!

Find perfection? You've got to be kidding. Your exactly the kind of continued crisis this country doesn't need anymore of.

How about we give the job to someone who actually tries to avoid crisis by diplomatic methods that always work better and certainly cost the American taxpayer lots less money not to mention lives saved. I can only hope the voting citizen has enough sense to see through your selling them more fear.

What a phony guy! The republicans still think that he can beat any of the democrats because of his stand on gun control, pro choice, and other liberal issues. But, other than 9/11, he has nothing to prove. Ask any of the NYC guys? How can republicans like this guy, when people from NYC just can't stand this person?

His own children and own home state can't stand him...that says a lot right there about Rudy! And if republicans vote for him, then they are hypocrits for voting for a pandering flip flopper of the worst kind.

If Giuliani was effective on terrorism, why did he not participate in the 9/11 Commission who are now endorsing McCain. Rudy's a joke and embarrassment to the Republican party and 9/11 victims. I'm democrat and would vote for McCain over Giuliani. McCain was my original qualified pick for president even though I don't support war. McCain has superior qualifications to lead this country.

Rudy is a dishonest and has all the wrong friends that will be going to jail like his Dad.

Hillary is just as much a crook and will give all our money away. Thhese people only want one thing, It is Govt for Govt not for the people, they could care less.

This is the best candidates the two parties can dig up a bunch of left overs.

Ron Paul is the only candidate for the people.

It sure is a good thing for Giuliani the World Trade Center towers were located in New York instead of Washington or elsewhere. If al Qaeda had chosen another target, he wouldn't have any campaign at all.

Talk about an opportunist. He's worse than an ambulance-chaser.

Ron Paul is the only candidate that can return America to prosperity. Anyone who think Rudy Giuliani is a viable presidential candidate needs to watch these videos, which detail the rampant ineffectiveness, botched management, corruption, and flip flopping that has characterized Giuliani's political career.

Guiliani has had a much more difficult job than being a Senator, since running NY is running a budget second to that of the United States itself. And talk about dealing with diversity – New York is one of the most diverse cities and Guiliani was successful managing it.

Before he was elected in NY, Time mag called New York "ungovernable." Guiliani cut crime in NY overall by 56%, and murder by 65%. NY was once the crime capital, but Rudy Guiliani made it the safest lg. city.

I think a telling and important stat is that he also reduced the number of people on welfare in NY by over 600,000. Financially, he was great at cutting government waste; he cut over 20 taxes in the City. He also turned the City's $2.3 mill. deficit into a surplus.

What more do we want in a President?! There are several conservative candidates who blow away anyone on the Democratic side for financial smarts, and Rudy is in the top two or three.
