Doesn't really matter. We are still behind Clinton. And, I have also heard her speak and I beg to differ – she's not all that. But I wouldn't be surprised if she does use the show to try and sway women voters from Clinton. It won't work. We are not voting for Clinton cuz she's a woman. We are voting for her cuz she is the best candidate. Again, it shouldn't be about making history for the first woman or black man. It should all be about who is the better candidate.
I'm surprised she would appear on the show during a writers strike that her husband came out in support of. The View has striking writers out on the picket lines. I'm shocked she would cross!
WONDERFUL!!!! I Love Michelle Obama and I know she is gonna be a hit on the Show...Her showing on The VIEW will definitely be a major plus for The Obama Campaign, what a great move. I can't wait!
Bill Clinton continues to "do" the speech circuit so why shouldn't Michelle Obama host a tv show? Sounds like the Clinton people are worried that this articulate woman might do them some harm. People should chill out and concentrate on the issues rather than this silly, childish mud slinging.
Maybe all of the Candidates should appear on the View So we could get the answers to real questions instead of staged events.Just as the last debate in Vegas was simply a Vegas Show. What you should be asking yourself is why Hillary won't appear on Fox.Could it be that she would show her true self?Oh that's right she doesn't want to answer the tough questions, she will feel that they are piling up on her like Russert.Or maybe if they send her the questions or better yet her campaign plant the questions, then maybe should could answer them within 2-weeks.
Hey Michelle while you at it may be you should get Obama job as well at the "view" because he is losing nomination big time. Both of you just stay there.
snicker, snicker....just what we need...another Rosie wannabee...just hope Whoopie doesn't let her get away with any crap.
To all of you who say that "The View" is somehow an innapropriate venue for a politician's wife or a potential First Lady: What America do you LIVE in? She's going on the show because like it or not, Americans watch this crap. They eat it up. We've been trained to! If a campaign's main goal is to get its message to as many and as diverse a crowd as possible, I can't think of any other show (Oprah doesn't count, cause she's practically his campaign manager) that would be better for her to appear on. I hope she performs well, and I hope Americans start to realize that Hillary wants to pander to the lowest common denominator. The Obamas want to lift that lowest common denominator UP.
God help us all if the Obamas end up in the White House. They're a nice couple, but Barack is way too inexperienced to lead this country. Hillary, on the other hand, is the only Democratic candidate who has the experience and wisdom to take this country in a new direction.
I say give the woman her due. She's proudly going into the fire to help support her husband and I like that. I don't necessarily agree with some of his ideas–but I think she can shed some light at least on her impressions of his capabilities and preparedness to lead the nation.
I think she is too good for that ridiculous show. But if it helps by all means go for it. maybe she can add put some real substance.
I don't really get why people are getting upset by this. The is not a negative thing to be doing. Te view presents good ideas to people to ponder. There have been political contenders on comedy shows. Don't hate on Michelle just because you don't like Obama. She is her own person and has a lot of insight aside from her husbands campaign.
There goes my support for the Obama campaign. No way I can support a candidate whose campaign uses that awful piece of tripe television show as a platform.
Sorry, Barack, you just jumped the shark.
Is there Anything this sleasy, smooth talking politician won't do to become President; The job he's clearly not qualified or experienced for?? Now he's pimping out his wife to get the female/black vote! Haven't we seen enough disasters by a President who's learning on the job??
what a joke....another attempt by the media to prop up a democratic candidate who lacks the experience to run this country.......God help us.
I'm sure she'll manage to screw this up, too.
For the record, to those who speculated, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is on maternity leave until January 6th. There will be no Michelle vs Elisabeth.
Oh, goody! I can't wait to see her on the View. We are already informed by her that Obama is stinky in the mornings. Maybe now she will reveal that he is clumsy in bed, or something similiar. She looks mean out of her eyes to me. And I am quite positive she isn't as intelligent as Hillary, as someone stated above.
Talk about trying to influence the election - this smacks of favoritism. Not a good idea at all.
Are the other candidates going to have equal time on the View? If not, do not allow Ms. Obama this opportunity for free air time for her husband. This is not fair and should be avoided.
While I would enjoy hearing her, I don't feel this is a proper forum–especially as a "host" and not an "interviewee".
JC McKinney: Clumsy in bed?! In your dreams, Buddy!
How is this any different from all the publicity Bill Clinton gets? Wasn't he just on Oprah a month or so ago? Isn't he everywhere? His role as past President/candidate's spouse blurs the lines for everyone.
If Michelle Obama can get on the "The View" then I want to see Elizabeth Kucinich on the show also.
Please, all the candidates partners will be on as many TV shows as will invite them. Voters are as diverse in their TV viewing as in any other areas of their lives. Some of them actually watch FOX, horrors. BTW Hillary has been on the view.

Yes indeedy. And having the candidate's surrogate do a stint as host to "this crap" will really achieve that!
Barrack Obama is a man who had no intention of running for president until a few months ago. He caved into public pressure to run, and now he is making ridiculous plays to get his "message" out to the public.
What he should do is apologize to his wife and kids for upending them, go back to being a senator, get some actual experience and wisdom, and THEN try this again.
