I find it fascinating that Hillary Clinton's main detractors are WOMEN!! If I was a psychologist I'd say that there's some self-loathing going on among the most vocal anti-Hillary women. What? You'll support an inexperienced Obama who won't have clue one what to do on the "tough" issues (because he really hasn't been there), or a Republican who's likely to get us into war with Iran? It just boggles my mind that women, of all people, won't support Hillary Clinton!

Guys, the attack machine started on day 1 of Bill's presidency and you can still find silly jokes today, some folks can't let go.

Anyway, the feigned surprise and hurt expressed by the Republican faithful is humorous. What did they expect? George and Dick have provided plenty of material for the democratic machine to work with.

It would be really great if we could get back to a point where the legislators could work together with less partisanship and then work with whoever our president is for the benefit of the people.

To read these comments makes me wonder if the Republicans haven't already won--nothing but hate, hate and more hate--where do you think we will be if we have even 4 more years of large corporations stealing the U.S. blind with the encouragement of our fine Republican leaders. Give me Hillary, Obama or Edwards--anyone but another Republican!!

Anyone other than Hillary will lose, period. Get real. You all really think America will vote for Obama as President? None of the Southern states will vote for a black man. All of the other Democratic candidates are dead in the water.

Living through several Republican cycles, you all know that the Republican machine can and does destroy a person. They almost got Bill Clinton and they did destroy John Kerry.

Hillary is the only person with "balls" enough to beat back the Republican and everyone, if they look honestly, knows this is true.

Obama may be likeable, but, likeable does not count in politics.

Sorry you all, but Hillary 08!!!!

From what I am seeing, there is more than enough 'hate' going around in the DEM candidate circles. Hillary is doing more than her share of whining and slinging. Obama's responses are invariably more level-headed and professional. That's the problem with Hillary - nothing is ever 'her' problem - it's always someone elses fault.

We had the Clintons for 8 years, then Bush for 8 years - let's move on to something totally fresh.

Hillary is correct. Negative and distortions are the Republicans' best strategy. The record shows that the Republicans always go negative instead of talking about real issues. Ask McCain about what Bush did to him in S.C. Hillary is as good as any candidate in the race and negative attacks only show that her opponents and their supporters fear her candidacy. When Obama and Edwards go negative which they are doing right now, they are mimicking the GOP. And why not, it tends to work, witness some of the crap written it these comments..same old efforts to distort the truth. Even when Lee Atwater, the premier GOP strategist, was on his death bed dying from cancer, he asked for forgiveness for the negative campaigns that he had run on behalf of the GOP. What did his fellow GOP'ers do? True to nature, they attacked him! Go figure.

I would like to believe Senator Clinton is the most qualified candidate, but I need to see the proof. Can she be kind enough to ask Bill to release the documents to back up her claim ASAP?

I have never seen any more polarizing presidential candidate in my time. Even if she wins, how can she unite Democrats and never mind all parties?

Hate to break the news to you Hillary but you're are not the most electable candidate unless you can get 100% of the democrat votes. Republicans aren't going to vote for you and in fact you will most likely bring every republican out of the woodwork to vote against you! You'll be great for getting republicans to the polls in 2008.

Andherein lies the rub...you Obama supporters really don't get it. The Republicans checklist reads like this:

1. Get Hillary Out at All Cost
2. Then Proceed to beat the other what they perceive as easier candidates .

This whole notion that Republicans are going to cross over and vote Democrat is a notion I'm not buying into. Its fine for them to talk it during our primary cause it works in their favor against Hillary. At the end of the day its going to come down to who gets their base out. Dems or Republicans. It is so repulsive when Democrats talk about Hillary being polarizing. Yes she is polarizing to Republicans and the idea of the Democrats worrying about their Democratic candidate being unelectable on the basis of how REPUBLICANS feel about them is really sad. Now I understand in the spirit of winning at all cost what Obama and Edwards are doing when they repeat this clearly Republican knock on Hillary, but I hope if one of them does win the Denm nomination they are ready for that Republican Machine because its coming and these so called Republicans that are supposedly going to cross over are going dissappear into thin air. At the end of the day responsible voters vote on a party's agenda. I would never vote for a Republican no matter how charismatic he/she is if they were running on the current Republican agenda and I'm not buying that Republicans are going to crooss over in droves to vote Democratic just because Obama is the candidate of "Hope" and "Change". Guess I'll just have to wait and see if it comes to pass. Unfortunately the consequences of waiting and seeing might cost the DEms the Whitehouse in 08.

THE REPUBLICANS ARE TRYING TO FOOL THE DEMOCRATS INTO VOTING FOR OBAMA. BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT HILLARY IS THE TOUGHEST DEMOCRAT TO BEAT. SO THEY WANT TO GET HER OUT EARLY SO THAT THEY CAN TRUMP OBAMA WITH THEIR EXPERIENCE. WAKE UP PEOPLE IF YOU VOTE REPUBLICAN THEN YOUR CRAZY ANYWAY. HILLARY IS A STRONG NATIONAL INDEPENDANT WOMAN WHO WILL DEFEAT THEM NEXT YEAR. I LIKE OBAMA BUT I FEEL THAT HE WILL GET EATEN ALIVE IN A PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE WITH RUDY.

Here's a suggestion, Sen. Clinton...

Ignore the "Republican attack machine".

Just for a minute.

Focus on answering questions.

<i>"Your comment is awaiting moderation. Due to the volume of comments we receive, not all comments will be posted." </i>

I really don't understand how anyone can say that she's the most electable. Most of my votes in the past few years have been going to Democrats, but I refused to vote for her in 2006 for the Senate and I'll write in Obama or Edwards if she gets the nomination this time around.

Really, what do you people like about her?

Will it appears CNN deleted my comments
Point I made Hillary could not even win as Senator in her home state of Arkansas. She had to move to NY to become senator. She does not stand a chance as President.

Hillary should know about attack machines. She is married to one of the best organizers of attack machines there is. She's no slouch, either. Whoops, take that back. She is a tremendous slouch.

It's not the Republican attack machine that is hurting Hillary It is the Democrat attack Machine that is killing her. She could not even handle debating members of her own party. If Senator clinton or Osama Obama Receive the nomination they will get eat alive when they debate the republican nominee. It does not matter if we agree with the republican canidates they have some very strong canidates. The republican nominee is wide open but they have a lot of class act canidate's in the race. I would be scared of all of them. Guliani is even strong with the democrat's he is freedom of choice when it comes to abortion. plus the republicans are not beating each other up the dems are. The republicans are united on most issues Dems are not. We better find a strong democrat and unite as a party if we want to win the white house. It won't be Hillary or Obama. Just think all the Republicans will have to do is run ads of the Dems bashing their own nominee. They already have enough bashing of theirselves against Hillary and Obama. Plus who would vote for Hillary if she had not been married to President Bill Clinton She would not have even become senator she is riding on his coat tail. She had to leave Arkansas to NY to even become Senator. Do you think Arkansas would have made her a Senator.

Maybe Hillary is best suited to beat the “Republican attack machine!”
Guess what that will get us if she is elected? More polarizing gridlock in the Congress and a country still divided. I’m looking to vote for someone who can stand up against our friends on the other side of the isle and tell them what he actually thinks, and then began to work in a bipartisan fashion to get it done.

Obama’s my guy!

We are still a year away from the only poll that counts. A lot can happen in that time. That being said, despite what any Hilary-hater wants to believe, if the election were held today with all candidates from both parties in the running, Hilary would win by a very large margin. In fact, there is probably little doubt that any Democratic nominee would beat any Republican nominee. That is not partisanship, that is just fact, thanks in whole to the last 7 years of Bush. The county just wants a different direction. The real questions now are, can Hilary keep the White House in 2012, and will the American voting populace balance the odds by restoring a Republican majority to one or both houses of Congress. I don't blame Hilary for going after the Republicans and ignoring her Dem rivals at this point, her nomination and eventual election are foregone at this point.

i don't want somebody to take on the Republican attack Machine. I don't want "the girl to take on the right."

I want someone who diffuses the machine. That's why I'm supporting Barack Obama.

There's a reason the Republicans attack Hillary and ignore the rest, it's because they want to face off against her. Anyone that can't see that is blind.

The Republican Attack Machine hasn't layed a glove on Obama because they think they can beat him. It's Hillary they're afraid of. She's strong, experienced, balanced, and clearly articulates her agenda. Republicans know she'll beat any candidate they select so expect plenty more smears, lies, and distortions from the Republican Attack Machine. (Recently that machine has had plenty of reinforcement from inexperienced, unqualified Obama and the very desperate Edwards, two candidates who could easily be ripped apart by that same machine should either become the Democratic candidate.)

Hillary's new slogan about turning up the heat is completely silly. And her great followup response of being comfortable in the kitchen? Yada, yada, yada.

I remember when Bill was running for Pres and she told us that she decided not to be in the kitchen because she didn't "stay home and bake cookies".

Make up your mind Hillary. You probably haven't picked up a pot to cook a meal in years. Wasn't McDonald's one of Bills problems?

Every single chance she has to "Bash Bush" she stops at nothing. As far as the "strength and experience to get us out of Iraq", where did she pick up those credentials. She also has stated that we may be in Iraq until 2013. Can she make up her mind on anything? She is like that revolving door that keeps spinning. You never know which of the doors you will get. This lady (and I DO use this term loosely) is totally bonkers. A vote for HRC is a vote for socialist government. Didn't she date Karl Marx before "revolving zipper boy".

The only attack Machine Senator Clinton has seen in this campaign so far has been run by her fellow democratic canidates on the left, the Republicans haven't started an attack machine, because they don't need to; She may be the favorite of the press, she still has a good chance of losing the race for the nomination. What happens after the Primaries all depends on who wins their party'
s nomination.

I sort of find it flattering that the Clinton News Network feels the need to censor my comments-

They seem to realize that I have something thoughtful and insightful to say, and since it is not favoring Clinton, they have to do what they have to do to silence me. Otherwise, people might actually listen and Clinton won't win the nomination.

You want to see hate, check out the left wing Bush-Haters on the silly story about pardoning friggin turkeys for Thanksgiving. Now that is some irrational, childish hate for ya. It is amazing how you liberals and Democrats can whine about hate for Hillary and then launch the most vile verbal attacks against our President. What a hypocrite!

R Sisk in Nevada. I like my post better:
From the day George Bush took office he was hounded by the DEMS and it never stopped. Thus, the beginning of the Clinton attack machine. The Dems are unraveling and they have NO strong candidates while the Repubs have many. They are running scared so get ready for some more Sandy Berger -type lies and cheating

Yet she says she can unify our country like no other candidate.

Here's the pattern:

1. Call Iran's army a terrorist organization and then expect them to sit at the table and engage in "diplomacy".

2. Tell us you will unite the country and then alienate half of the country by calling them the "Republican Attack Machine".

A disingenuous candidate with a disingenuous message.

Is it any wonder that she is tanking in the polls related to trust?

Clinton is the one who crushed herself in the Nevada debate. The pundits didn't notice. But she fell right into Wolf Blitzers rigged question of choosing between national security and human rights. She said National Security is more important!!!!

Insanity. What is security without human rights or civil rights. This is exactly where Bush has been taking us and she falls right in line with that thinking. She disgusts me.

Call it like it is I always say! Not only in the prelims to the election--but woe to all of us if a Democrat actually gets into office!!! We'll see/hear muckraking and bluster cannons at every opportunity. Kinda sad huh, but that's freedom of speech. I wouldn't do anything to change it.

you people are idiots if you don't think there's a Republican attack machine, considering it's what did Kerry in. The fact that you keep on bringing up her high negatives/polarizing is only proof that their attack campaign worked at making you idiots see her as a demon.

And if you think Obama would fare better against Republicans, you're sadly mistaken. Especially considering how Hillary destroyed him with one attack (on policy, not personal matters) in the first five minutes in the Vegas debate.

We may need a change but Hillary is not it. If she becomes our democratic nominee the republicans will be back in the white house. She is so undecided on where she stands she can not possibly make presidential decisions. we have real problems facing america and the US voters know it. They are scared of her being in office when it comes to the safety of this great nation. Our only hope of winning the White house is with Biden or Richardson or possibly Edwards. Biden is solid and even has the respect of both party's. Obama and Hillary is a sure vote for a loss in the White House. If we want a democrate as President we better chose one that can gain the support of this great nation as a whole. Not some one with no experience like Obama Or someone like Hillary who has a tainted record behind her. They will lose to the republican's if the are our nominee.
