This sentence has a massive typo "former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg won the "Maverick" award."

Mike Blooomberg is still the mayor of New York, that is until we Draft him for President!

$9,000,000 raised since October 1, 2007 with the average donation being less than $100.00. This suggests average Americans are fed up with the media/corporations choosing our presidential nominees. Go Ron Paul!

Ronnie you are a fool. As a fellow Knoxvillian you are wrong. With an attitude like that you are not helping his cause. Let me guess you are rooting for good ol' Fred huh? 4.2 million in a day is not support huh? I dont see Thompson raising that. Do you ? Or any other candidates beside Romney? Last we need is another Clinton or Bush-like person in office. Dems and Rep are all the same. Right vs. Wrong not Right vs. Left bs. Grow up and quit drinking the Kool-aid. Ron Paul stands for everything our founding fathers stood for. Thats more than any lobbyist/ other pres candidate can say.

I think one thing people get messed up about Paul, is that he isn't against helping people or any of that, what he's against is the Federal government getting involved. He believes the best people that can represent you are your local representatives.

He wants to give power back to the states and I think it's a great thing, it allows you the people to better represented, instead of hoping or having to rely on Washington, people who have no clue or really don't care about you.

So if you want a candidate that will:
Give Power back to the people and not the lobbyist.
Return our liberties and freedoms
Follow the Constitution.
And will keep us out of other country's business.
Will bring our troops home and only use them to actually defend America, instead of fighting "Wars for Freedom"

Then Ron Paul is your guy.

Fighting wars for Democracy didn't work 40+ years ago, just like fighting wars for freedom won't work now. looks like some politicians could use a history lesson, you can't force others to like you by having a war.

It's amazing to me how many people who have not even bothered to go to Ron Paul's website (ronPaul2008.com)to read about his policies and platform criticize him. Ron Paul was Ronald Reagan's best friend in Washington DC. Reagan said Paul was the only man he knew in Washington who was honest and upon whose word he could depend. Dr.Paul did not always agree with Mr. Reagan, but Reagan always knew where he stood.

Giuliani, Clinton, Romney, McCain, Thompson all will continue America on a fascist corporate empire path to destruction. While I do not agree with all of Dr. Paul's positions, his concern about an imperial presidency, an abandonment of the Bill of Rights, and a self-destructive foreign policy do resonate with me. HE may be just the man we need to undo Bush's profound mistakes.

People should join me in making an honest evaluation of this man, before making a knee jerk summation of him.

Ron Paul doesn't have enough understanding about foreign policy to really make an effective president. He also would plan on reducing or eliminating many programs that help people. There are too many things that people have come to rely on that are done by the federal, state or local governments that Ron Paul might eliminate. He might prove to be an interesting advisor to the next president who ever that is, but should not be president.

The early primaries and caucuses are beiginning to look like they won;t buy the Corporate Media and Madison Avenue PR campaigns and are genuinely starting to look closely at the candidates. Edwards, Paul, Richardson, Huckabee and Biden could do surprisingly well- showing up broadcast pundits for what they truly are: talking heads who read press releases as fact.

Does anyone remember JFK?
How about RFK?

If Ron Paul gets that far, the people that REALLY control things would do a Kennedy job on him in a heartbeat.

If you can't see that Hillary Clinton has already been (s)elected to be president, then you are living in fairy-tale land where America is still a democracy and actually has elections.

A happy day for every bare foot, backwoods, anarchist that is sitting on the front porch swing of this log cabin with his shotgun on his lap wish the IRS would set foot on his property to collect "dem libreal" taxes.

Just too bad that the big government's US postal service is the only parcel carrier that can get to their bfe residence to deliver GQ. Darn!

America,
What if "We the People" decided not
to pay our income taxes next year. If
we all agreed then Congress would have to put 300 million people in jail. Imagine the litagation cost, the jail
costs, the cost of no one working to pay taxes, all for 535 people to have
Power. How do you have power spending other people's money. When all men are created equal, it's sounds like Communism. If that's what America votes for next year, then bring on Hillary/Obama.

Awesome, I think GQ knows what a lot of people in the media are going to know after New Hampshire and Iowa. Ron Paul has real support and will be the next President!

Yay for liberty.

Ron Paul has to win this election or our dollar is gone. He understands that this country is great not because we have Mickey Mouse and M & M.s, it's because we have the constitution.

I'm glad GQ recognized that there are alot of Americans that know Ron Paul is the only honest candidate in the race.

Ron Paul would dismantle whatever parts of the government that Bush didn't sell off to the highest bidder. If you want Blackwater patrolling your neighborhood and all the good firetrucks to be rented out of Beverly Hills and no meaningful healthcare watsoever that's not provided by HMOs making billions, Ron Paul is your guy.

Ron Paul should have won the "Truth, Honesty and Constitutional Correctness" award or "True American President" award.

He's the rare presidential candidate that has fought for his country, the constitution and fought against government corruption for over 30 years. He's the rare presidential candidate that has the American people's values at heart rather than the values of corporate America. He doesn't hide behind a carefully crafted image and doesn't pander to special interest groups. He spits the truth and everyone should demand the same level of integrity from all government officials.
