Huckabee has picked up another endorsement from a celebrity strong man.

COLUMBIA, South Carolina (CNN) – In the race for presidential endorsements, Mike Huckabee has the kitschy pop culture celebrity vote on lockdown.

First it was martial arts hero and "Walker, Texas Ranger" star Chuck Norris, who appears with Huckabee in his first TV ad.

Then hard-rocking hunting enthusiast Ted Nugent jumped on the Huckabee bandwagon, citing the Republican's support for second amendment rights.

Now, Huckabee is getting ready to rumble: wrestler Ric Flair, a.k.a. The Nature Boy, is supporting the former Arkansas governor in his bid for the White House.

CNN has learned the WWE wrestler is on board with Huckabee, and will co-host a campaign tailgate with the candidate at the South Carolina vs. Clemson football game on Saturday afternoon in Columbia, South Carolina. More details are forthcoming.

How about Ted Nugent for vice-President? He's always been politically correct.

Huckabee is the new redneck of the block open ur eyes people this is the 21st century he might be late for his kkk meeting

The wife stealing, limousine driving, jet flying son of a gun! Ric Flair wooooo. Ok, enough already! Who is next to support "The Huckster?" George Costanza? FYI: Ric Flair admitted to the use of steroids and his wife divorced him. Great endorsement! I hear that Charles Manson is also looking for somebody to endorse. C'mon Mike, add Charles to your repertoire of degenerates!

Y'know, it's ironic the people that are talking about "ignorant wrestlers" seem kind of ignorant about the "biz". I'm not suprised that alot of wrestlers are voting towards the republican side/conservative side.

Alot of these guys are from the south and usually southerners are more conservative but not always though. But, you have very liberal or independent politic wrestlers such as Mick Foley and the Rock considers himself independent (yes, I"m aware the Rock is retired) but has stated he's independent.

The WWE has mentioned that they want the youth to vote. But case in point, mocking pro wrestling is just as narrowminded as the conservatives that us liberals like to make fun of.

what ever   January 20th, 2008 10:25 pm ET

I dont care who becomes president; but to put down a legend or act like you dont care about what a pro wrestling icon thinks is stupid on your part. Dont knock someone you dont know. If you dont like wrstling or its superstars thats fine. But dont put down something you totally dont watch or understand d***ass.

ross from croswell   January 20th, 2008 5:18 pm ET

Though I dont care for ric flair and some of ted nugents hunting antics are a bit "out there" I think Mike Huckaby represents best, the ideals and values this country was built on. I vote huckaby.

John Lock   January 18th, 2008 4:21 pm ET

Chuck Norris also served in Korea if that matters.

John Lock   January 18th, 2008 4:19 pm ET

Jessie ventura was a wreslter…… think about it.

Flair is a buisness man and and actor. Not a dumb wrestler. You should read his book. Yes he wrote a book. Have you?

Ted Nugent- Loves hunting and likes a simple life. so what.
I to love camo, guns, trucks, beer, I also lace up work boots every day and goto work and I am a proud Navy vet from 1988-1992 era. Gun rights are just that, rights.

Chuck- Just check out what he does for Kids in his real life. This is only a small part of how he gives back.

chris   January 18th, 2008 3:02 pm ET

Let's see, the Dems have Oprah and a host of girly men and manly women while the Republicans have The Terminator(Arnold), 16 time world champ(Ric Flair) and a black belt in Chuck Norris. Ok, I think Stevie Wonder can see the difference here!!!

'Republicans tend to be followers anyway'. anti-modern,anti-science. no they tend to pass a more discerning eye and value experience and pragmatism over dogma and fadism(political corectness and the political party who embraces it anyone?). it wasn't the republicans who initiated the hubristic great society programme,or who adopted the chauvenistic top down bellicose management style as emphasised by such trademark liberal(contradictory euphemism if ever there was one)initatives as roe vs wade. the perfect example is the idea that crime is caused by poverty, something we know and have proved to be false and simplistic. but whose supporters still spout this cant. contrast the republican candidates giulianni, mccain, romney, huckabee with the democratic front runners and one is presented with unique often utterly contradictionary personnallities and political ideals. the charismatic yet unconventional giulianni, the suave yet inconsistant romney to maverick mccain(someone who has demonstated his willingness to follow his own ideals). the democrats offer us the same pompous patronising platitudes. all obama offers is freshness but they are all essentially the same person.

Erin   January 4th, 2008 12:03 pm ET

Okay, so like Bush he's sweeping the dummy vote. Good for him. And it's TED Nugent, not Rick. ROFLMAO

alex c.   January 3rd, 2008 3:47 pm ET

first of all that "washed up"wrestler you so ignorantly point out has been styling, profiling, limousine riding while you were still an itch in your fathers pants. That man has been making his money the old fashioned way he's earned it by entertaining generations of wrestling fans including our U.S. armed forces.which is more than I can say for most of hollywood.Everyone has the right to back up whoever candidate he or she is comfotable with it is our inalienable and god given right to do so.I may not agree with his politics but i'll defend his right to choose who he wants to just like anbody else.Just because he's the 16 count it 16 time word champ does not mean I'm going out and support the old huck(even thuogh he plays bass better than i do.)Many of you people democrats and republican alike love to pretend they are god and judge others remember people god would never pretend to be you…..woooo…

Craig   January 1st, 2008 5:32 pm ET

I love this message board…proof positive that CNN, and everything associated with it is left wing, democratic controlled propaganda. Nothing but attacks on Republicans, gun owners, individuals…I applaud you for providing me with further evidence of how lemming-like the democratic left is, and how filled with hate they are. And CNN is their low-ratings mouthpiece.

WHOOOOOO!!! Ric Flair and Mike Huckabee both have my vote…Flair has been around a long time…he knows what he's talking about…Huckabee will do a great job for this country…

Mike Katy Tx   December 14th, 2007 1:47 pm ET

Ric Flair is a good man and wretler, he is a professional who has been in his career field for many decades. Most liberals don't care for this stuff much because they are to busy trying to make you afraid of it and then blame it on someone else and then tell you they will solve it. Democrats are a waste of O2.

Jacob Denver Colorado   December 9th, 2007 5:44 am ET

wooooooooooooooooooo go rick hes not dumb he knows who is the best party go republicans to wooooooooo

Jack, Boynton Beach, Florida   November 29th, 2007 11:26 pm ET

To biased democrats:

While it is true that most republicans immediately jump against anything "democrat", the intelligent people know that many of the policies currently supported by your party leaders simply do not work. Socialized health care is not perfect. Socialism is not perfect, and communism has never worked. I have friends from Cuba and Canada, and both agree with this. Michael Moore's movie on health care is incorrect. In Canada, you may have to wait months for a single operation.

Also, raising taxes would destroy our currently weak economy. In Florida, and other southeastern coastal states, property taxes from the aftermath of two brutal hurricane seasons has forced many to foreclose on their homes. There are many other negative effects of raising taxes, and if you have studied economics, then you will know what they are.

To biased republicans:

While it is true that most democrats immediately jump against anything "republican", not all decisions from the republican party have been effective. George W Bush has tried to do the best with the situation he was given, and made mistakes that could only be seen with hindsight. As it stands, due to the current situation, most republican (and democrat) candidates do not have enough backbone to stick with a position.

Also, the immediate branding of people with differing viewpoints as "unpatriotic" or "anti-american" is ridiculous. With the exception of several truly anti-american individuals, most are simply stating their opinion, which must be valued just as much as your own.

To all:

George Washington, our first and perhaps greatest president, said that we should not focus too much on individual parties, but that we should focus on striving to improve our nation. We all need to look past party memberships and listen to what people have to say.

Erik Wilmington, NC   November 28th, 2007 4:12 pm ET

Has Koko B Ware endorsed anyone yet?

JS Houston, TX   November 26th, 2007 6:44 pm ET

Well I haven't heard much about Huckabee but I do know where Ted Nugent stands and his no nonsense political views. So I say Huckabee for President and Ted Nugent for V.P. If you don't know much about Ted Nugent, go to You Tube and listen to some of his interviews, especially with Texas Monthly. This guy may seem a little rough but come on, we have become a nation of bleeding hearts and let our people get murdered by thugs and then want to protect them in the justice system. That is wrong………Go Ted!!!!!!!!!!!!11

B. Herod, the great state of Mississippi   November 26th, 2007 12:02 am ET

I am amazed how quick some people will accept the ramblings of some hollywood type individual then discount another performer and their political ideas. If you are a liberal then do what you guys "preach" be tolerant of all ideas that are put out there, you have a right to disagree but how harsh. Churk Noriss is a dedicated Christian man, even if you don't like his work respect his perspective. Also in the same way unless you know the real Ric Flair why slam him for just being a pro-wrestler, after all a former pro-wrestler did win the higest office in Minnesota and from some friends I have there he did a pretty good job. I am a conservative baptist minister myself and have my own views about a lot of things, I work with another minister who is supporting H. Clinton for the office of President we disagree big time about that issue but respect one anothers viewpoints. Don't be so rude to discreated someones views just because of their profession, if you check into a lot of pro-wrestling backgrounds you will find that a lot of these guys are college educated. Even though we don't all agree on the issues lets unite in the fact that everyone has a right to their opinion and that right has been faught for by a lot of men and women (not all of which had the same political ideas) but united for our country. Be patriots and listen to others viewpiont and treat others with respect no matter what post they have in life. And as another pro-wrestler would say who is a New York times best selling author would say. Have a nice day!

Blake, Minneapolis, MN   November 25th, 2007 6:57 pm ET

Ric Flair can't help that he is custom made. I would recommend everyone watch his "custom made" video on youtube. Huckabee isn't going anywhere, but the Ric Flair endorsement is funny.

bran, Texas   November 24th, 2007 2:23 pm ET

Apparently, the only people that do not agree with Ted Nugent are people that believe the phrase "a lot" is one word (laurinda, ny).

Gingersnapperus   November 23rd, 2007 8:45 pm ET

Never underestimate the Nature Boy. Anyone who has made a career in wrestling last this long is pretty smart! Ric is a smart guy with strong political convictions. If he is supporting Huckabee…I will pay attention and check him out myself. And BTW, Watch Ric on Raw Monday night!

Huckabee's the only guy who has both Chuck Norris and Ric Flair in his corner. One plane, two parachutes, and three days later and those two guys would clean Iraq up.

If you're serious about ending the conflict in Iraq, then you may want to consider Huckabee and his impressive ass-kicking machine.

I could care less who endorses whom. And this is on both sides. I mean, are we supposed to be surprised when an actor (98% liberal in Hollywood) supports a Democrat? Will that really change that many people's minds?

In other political news, it was announced that Hulk Hogan had endorsed Huckabee — but at a Huckabee campaign event, the Hulkster "shocked the world" by ripping off his Huckabee T-shirt to reveal a "Rudy '08″ shirt underneath!

First Norris and now Flair…can endorsements from the mobile home manufacturers association and the good folks at "SPAM" and "Wonder Bread" be far behind? ; )

DJC, Buckeye, AZ   November 21st, 2007 8:40 am ET

I read about as much of the negative stuff as I can stand without saying something. People, listen to yourselves! You sound like a bunch of arogant, self-absorbed, "I'm smarter and better than you" snobs.

I'm glad to see people ike Ric Flair, Ted Nugent and Chuck Norris jump into the political process. The real idoits are not these, but the folks who site back and think it doesn't matter. At least they are engaged in the process and may bring new voters into the fold. Of course, that's what some of you fear, because you see yourselves as "better than" and want to be self-appointed intelligencia and aristocracy. Get over it! This IS a democracy!

Tom, Wimington, NC   November 21st, 2007 6:21 am ET

Ric Flair returns to the WWE on Monday night. If you think that a Ric Flair endorsement doesn't mean anything, take a look next week at the ratings USA network does during this segment. It will blow away anything on cable TV, not just on that night at that time, but anything aired all week. Ric Flair moves the ratings needle, not just with "white-trash rasslin fans", but on a national level. It's a good thing for Huckabee.

And, as an aside to Terry, Al Gore did not win the 2000 election; we have this thing called the Electoral College in America. By winning in the Electoral College, you become President; not by winning the popular vote.

Aunt Betty   November 20th, 2007 11:05 pm ET

I compare this to Ben Affleck's endorsement of Obama. WHO CARES!!

I am voting for Huckabee but not because of who or who doesn't endorse him.

Any voter that that would vote for the President of the United States because a "celebrity" endorses them should be removed from the polls. Any news organization that reports who celebrities endorse should be banned from distributing news.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no right to vote in this country. Voting is a privilege, very much like obtaining a drivers license. If you have to rely on what celebrities think to help pick the President then you should be forbidden to vote.

Fritz, Wilmington, DE   November 20th, 2007 9:06 pm ET

Lee, Mays Landing NJ….

you truely aren't THINKING with that statement. Wrestling draws a varierty of different audiences, many far from die-hard christians and republicans. You'd be surprised to find, there are plenty on both sides of the spectrum…no need to bash those who watch something fake (That is after all 90% of TV, Movies…and Politicians in general)

Mike Hucklebee will be a very good president. I fell sorry that people seem to think that supporting the Constitution, and the reconizing the right to bear arms is a G-d given right. Ric Flair though based on what I have known of him isn't the best endorsement.
Three ex-wives, bar fights and DWI's are not the kind of guy I'd be bragging about on my band wangon. I have never been a saint, but Flair is only in the ring to pay for alimony, and cover his bar tab.
I support either Hucklebee or Duncan Hunter who in my books are real conservatives. The Marxists who are running for the Democratic nominaition are in my book unexceptable and pander to the lowest minds in our country. Progressives, or for the'common good,' are out of The Communist Manesfesto.
Governor Hucklebee should rethink his choices of endorsements. Even though Hillary Clinton's, Obama, and other Democrats have serious questionable fund raising to say the least. Ric Flair may be good in the ring, but his private life is clouded by not so good behaviors.

Vince, Phoenix, AZ   November 20th, 2007 6:42 pm ET

"The fans of "rasslin", Chuck Norris type garbage on TV and gun-nut Rick Nugent are natural constituents to an anti-science, anti-modern backwoods Arkansas minister/ republican candidate."

I don't know about that. I'm a scientist that likes professional wrestling, Walker Texas Ranger, and Rick(sic) Nugent. And I like Mike Huckabee.

I love the comments from the 'tolerant ones' on this story. Many were probably the same claiming that you can't judge the candidate by endorsements since they can't control it. Those quotes generally coming after some of the sterling endorsements for Hillary, you know, the porn stars and other enlightened individuals in our society.

All people here making judgments that some of these endorsers are ignorant, should first perform a self-examination first. Before jumping to a conclusion about these folks, or more specifically Mike Huckabee, you should all take a good look and listen to what Huckabee has to say and where he stands on issues. Who does, or does not endorse a candidate is not a direct reflection on that candidate. Take a look at the candidate for yourselves, and quit talking about these people as if they are sub-human.

nathan, Raleigh, NC   November 20th, 2007 12:46 pm ET

I suppose we can call this endorsement a "body slam." Let's see, Huckaby doesn't believe in evolution, wants all citizens to pack a rod, and now is endorsed by a juiced up fake wrestler. Huckaby for "Dog Catcher" in '08.

Richard A, Charlotte, NC   November 20th, 2007 12:43 pm ET

Interesting how many intellectuals equate brawn with stupidity. Actually, the men named as endorsements have one thing in common, they used their God given talents, wrestling, martial arts and music to create a viable business career and support their families. Probably had a lot of fun in the process and employed a lot of others doing it too. Always amazes me how judgmental and ignorant or marketing/packaging the left is when they choose to be. If Britney Spears or Barbara Streisand endorsed Hillary they would be considered "brainy". Face it America. You have a natural jealousy of guys who take what they have and make something of themselves. These men are self-made. So is Mike Huckabee. These same people will be making fun of Mike as he takes the oath of office as our next President. Mark those words you silly people.

Now that Huckabee has the macho, tobacco spitting, deer hunting, beer swilling, WANGO TANGO demographic in his pocket, who will be the victim of the infamous "Milwaukee's Best Light beer can" falling from the sky? I'd say Romney fits that role well because he looks like the Mafia's version of a Ken Doll. Then again Giuliani taking a cell call from his wife at a NRA speech would certainly qualify.

Men should be men so here's to you Mr. Backroad Guitarplaying Kickboxer WWE Guy. Because without you entertainment would have no place in politics and we'd all be bored stiff.

while I agree with you 100%, they could tax it like they do cigs, and gas, which would be a huge money maker. I think our social conservatives have a very unhealthy lust for violence on a very deep psychological level. It's an interesting commentary on the hypocritical intermingling of religion and violence in our society.

On one hand, touting what is today's evangelical interpretation of Christ's message, on the other hand attracting some of the most violent pop culture icons in our country.

This is exactly why I have no sympathy for commenters who bash CNN for posting non-news. This so-called irrelevant news has 20 comments while a lot of the 'real' news articles have no comments. It's you the readers and commenters that encourage CNN to post articles like this.

Alexander, Washington D.C., USA   November 20th, 2007 10:14 am ET

If memory serves me correctly. I believe
Ric Flair belonged to a WWF tag-team group called "NWO" back in the day… What a horrible endorsement for anyone to pick up! I guess Mike Huckabee likes guys in tight pants… what do you expect from a guy that looks like Gomer Pyle himself.

Sabi Kanani, Dallas TX   November 20th, 2007 10:06 am ET

What a joke! Who's next?…Mike Tyson?

Danny Casolaro Martinsburg, WV   November 20th, 2007 10:02 am ET

Huckabee has also been endorsed by double-wide trailers, Cheez Whiz in the can, the cast and crew of Hee Haw, Red Man Chewing Tobacco, Natural Bohemian Light Beer, NASCAR, I could go on and on and on.

Aaron Smithsburg, Maryland   November 20th, 2007 9:59 am ET

Huckabee would go along with the federal governments quarter century, never ending war on drugs. He would condone asset seizure and raiding of terminally ill medical marijuana user and medical marijuana growers. Stop this madness, do not support any candidate that would go long with these opportunistic fascists. DEA is a fraud. They are the reason drugs and crime go hand and hand. They have arrested and incarcerated countless mothers and father guilty of nothing more than using natural, prescribed herbal medicine. Of course Big pharmaceutical companies can't patent a plant, so republicans hate marijuana because they can't stick their bloodsucking claws into production, so they go after the people. Its all about money. Makes me sick. Screw the feds and their propaganda, I'd rather smoke pot than, gobble up whatever my doctor who gets kickbacks for pushing the latest and greatest pharma frankenstein that is probably made in China or India. Support Americans, 100% homegrown industry.

Vandelay, Gaithersburg, MD   November 20th, 2007 9:48 am ET

It must be a pretty slow news day if THIS is what we're reading about. If voters are persuaded by someone's opinion who regularly takes a metal chair to the head, our society is in worse shape than I thought! Didn't anyone learn the mistakes of electing Jesse The Body Ventura as Governor? I'll cross my fingers and hope that Hulk Hogan makes his endorsement soon!!

Who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give us some real news

Jeff - Canada   November 20th, 2007 9:28 am ET

WhoooOooOoOOOOoooo!!! I can see Hukkabee now in the final debate dressed in his diamond studded robe quoting Natch, running around the podium doing the exaggerated Flair Flop, gouging The Republicans eyes and WhooooOOOooOOOOoing up a storm before walking off the stage with a couple hotties claiming to be kiss stealing, wheeling dealing, leer jet flying, limousine riding, wheeling, dealing, son of a gun. I'd vote for that.

Plastic, Brooklyn, NY   November 20th, 2007 9:28 am ET

interesting news, although could you please follow up and let me know who the following wrestlers endorse…

The Macho Man Randy Savage, Brutus the Barber Beefcake, The Big Bossman, Raven, and Doink the Clown…just curious.

T.M. Denver, CO   November 20th, 2007 9:21 am ET

I'm impressed to see Ric Flair, a.k.a. The Nature Boy is on the side of Mike Huckabee, as the only choice 2008. America needs a man with integrity and honesty that can restore our infected democracy. Hopefully others will see there is no other choice that will benefit America without selfish ambition, but bring a long needed healing for all.

Thank you Ric Flair!

JMCC, Philadelphia, Pa.   November 20th, 2007 9:21 am ET

I see another 10,000 lost lives, Katrina, tsusami and all the other mass lost lives. Do you really believe someone is in charge up there? There is a purpose? If so, they fell asleep and with no rhyme or reason are trying to catch up. I always wondered if the naysayers ever answered the question, who was Cain's wife? His sister? His Mother? No one touched that question!
If your walking down the street and your child ddarts in front of a truck and it slams on it's brakes and misses him, we say"Thank God", if it doesn't stop and kills him, why not say "Thank God. What a joke how we are so selective.

Anonymous   November 20th, 2007 9:20 am ET

Wow, Huck must be a serious candidate. Can Mr. T and PeeWee Herman be far behind? All he needs now is an endorsement from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I will be convinced to vote for . . . aww, who are we kidding. The guy's a joke.

Antonio, Tempe AZ   November 20th, 2007 9:18 am ET

But which candidate will win the all important Steven Seagal endorsement?

Obidiah, Raleigh NC   November 20th, 2007 9:17 am ET

To be the man, you gotta beat the man! Woo!

Since Bush has shown us one is not guilty by association, I guess Huckabee won't have to worry about being endorsed by a man with more womanizing problems than Bill Clinton. Woo!

Anonymous - Atlanta, GA   November 20th, 2007 9:16 am ET

Tom from Mobile…

It's not the arm bar they'd get caught in…it's the figure-four leglock. :)

Let's just hope nobody throws Huckabee off the top of the ringpost in the primaries.

Matt, Boston MA   November 20th, 2007 9:14 am ET

Wooooooooooooo Flair! I wonder what voting demographic Huckabee hopes to be going after with these kinds of endorsements? Is 15 year old nu-metal skateboarders really that big a voting bloc?

Wayne, Greenville TX   November 20th, 2007 9:08 am ET

With Chuck Norris, ted Nugent, and now Ric Flair on his side, Mike Huckabee seems to be going after the lunatic fringe vote.

Jack, Fort Myers, FL   November 20th, 2007 9:07 am ET

He also supports: a women in every kitchen (and a spare if you can), pick up trucks, full-automatic weapons, Jesse Helms, no gays!! (even though he wears fur coats and make up), beer, pickled pigs feet, and now Huckabee. I can sleep well tonight.

Anonymous   November 20th, 2007 9:05 am ET

Someone should tell Huckabee that 17 year old boys can't vote.

Aaron K, Bondurant, IA   November 20th, 2007 9:04 am ET

And another idol of mine has lost my respect… I'll always love your matches with Dusty Rhodes… To be the man, you've got to beat the man, and Rick Flair, you are no longer the man…

S.B. Stein E.B. NJ   November 20th, 2007 9:04 am ET

I question those that would have their vote swayed solely by one celebrity. I don't care if it is Ric Flair, Chuck Norris, Brad Pitt, Ted Nugent, Yitzach Pearlman or Jerry Seinfeld. Granted these people are entitled to say their opinion. I just don't think that people should be focusing on solely the endorsements. Also see what the candidates say on their websites as well as their record in Congress or as the state chief executive to point what they might do in other office. We the citizens need to do our own research and make up our own mind!

Jim, Burlington NC   November 20th, 2007 8:59 am ET

"While I probably won't vote for Huckabee, it at least shows that the "common man" like Chuck Norris, Ted Nugent, and Rick Flair are willing to endorse him rather than the "pretty people" who have gotten millions from special interest."

You ARE kidding right? Two millionare actors and a millionare musician are "common men"?

OK, I'll give you the they're not pretty though…

What is Huckabee's position on the use of steroids in sports?

Vickie Neal, Garden City, GA   November 20th, 2007 8:53 am ET

Well that settles everything. If Ric Flair is backing this guy, then he must be a winner. Looks like my vote is changing again. After all, who can go wrong following a 16 times champion who has not been involved in the steroid scandals!!

Terry, El Paso, TX   November 20th, 2007 8:51 am ET

"bush bush clinton clinton bush bush clinton? time for someone fresh!" – chris sc

Let's straighten out that history a little. Bush 41 served one term, 1988-92. He was defeated by Mr. Clinton, who served two terms. The 2000 election was won by Al Gore who polled 50,996,116 votes to Bush 43's 50,456,169. Bush 43 then won in 1996 by a big margin over Kerry (all of you who voted for Bush should be so ashamed now). So, the true pattern is Bush-Clinton-Clinton-Gore-Bush.

Now that we've straightened out the history, so what? We want the best president. It's not the voters' job to share the presidency with as many families as possible. Father John Adams and son John Quincy Adams were, on balance, good presidents. Teddy Roosevelt and cousin Franklin Roosevelt were great, to say the least. John Kennedy and brother Robert Kennedy were potentially great, though we'll never know now.

That said, I do not support Sen. Clinton, whom this jibe is directed at. While she might have the brains, experience, and talent to be a great president, she will never overcome the frothing, rabid, hellish, seething, irrational, mindless, boiling hatred of Conservatives for all things Clinton. During a future Clinton administration, Conservatives will gridlock the country with their raging opposition, preferring to see it go straight to Hell than to cooperate with anyone named Clinton. There are many evangelicals who would vote for Satan himself if Hillary was his opponent.

I have never figured that out.

Damon, Fayetteville, NC   November 20th, 2007 8:43 am ET

Does Ric Flair, Ted Nugent and Chuck Norris legitimize Huckabee's Presidential bid?

Shannon, Atlanta GA   November 20th, 2007 8:42 am ET

Mike Huckabee was a lousy governor. He knew there were innocent men sitting in jail due to a FLAWED justice system there and he did nothing. SO who would want this man president? He failed being responsible for one state – who knows what he would do to our country.

Salita, SC   November 20th, 2007 8:37 am ET

What do you mean when u say "fresh"? Bush was a fresh face on the scene in 2000 even though he was a Bush. we all know where that got us. I would rather have someone i have seen before with tried and true ideas them someone i have no clue about.

Shawnie - Grants Pass, OR   November 20th, 2007 8:23 am ET

Oh that does it, Huck has got my vote for sure now! Oh please. Are they sure they want to advertise this endorsement. It gives the impression they don't have anyone better to tout.

C. Rose, Hollywood, Florida   November 20th, 2007 8:13 am ET

Support of Mike Huckabee by the "Nature Boy" is indeed strange in that most educated people understand that "nature" is a product of evolution … and Huckabee, an ex-Baptist minister, has stated that he does not believe in this scientifically accepted explanation for the status of life on earth. Does this country, which is on the decline regarding many aspects of education and science, really wish to embrace a religious idealogue for President rather than a knowledgeable, modern person?

Walt, Belton, TX   November 20th, 2007 8:09 am ET

I'm surprised all three prior indorsers didn't indorse Ron Paul over Huckerbee. Ron Paul's got principles and their philosophy of government whereas Hukerbee only can say he's from Arkansas…..

Rob, Houston TX   November 20th, 2007 8:04 am ET

AJ; Montpelier, VT   November 20th, 2007 7:34 am ET

What a hoot. Add all of their IQ's together and it might equal 1 human brain. Is Huckabee really this desperate?

Mark Norman, Charlotte, NC   November 20th, 2007 7:18 am ET

Um,….just in case anyone wants to know,…WWE and WWF are the same thing! He's the former WCW, NWA and current WWE star! Just thought I'd let ya know.

Ric Flair, One of the all-time great wrestling entertainer. Back in MS and VA this man was a living GOD to wrestling fans. I'm glad to see he is doing well. His endorsement of Huckabee is a major event. I think Huckabee is going to shock a lot of people with his draw in the early primaries. The man is for real, no pretenses.

Shouldn't that be "the AGING kitschy pop culture celebrity vote"? Everyone mentioned in this story is way past their prime.

Soren Lawrenson, St. Joseph, MI   November 20th, 2007 12:48 am ET

Huckabee has the courage to stand up and say UFOs exist which takes integrity. Its time to declassify Roswell since this information should be owned by the world, not our black-ops governement branch who continues to discredit its own country. Too many people have stepped forward, its time to level with the world and begin to build faith in our government again. Our country needs this right now.

circus side show   November 20th, 2007 12:47 am ET

This is just embarrassing. I was considering Huckabee, but now I feel like I'm just not trailer-trashy enough to fit in.

I will not vote for anyone who touts WWF endorsements.

Richard, West Palm Beach, FL   November 20th, 2007 12:39 am ET

Their many exposures of sexual immorality by politicians would seem like the ultimate hypocrisy by Republicans, but it is not. They top that by their frequent complaints about celebrities engaging in politics. The Republican position seems to be that celebrites are all morons when they support Democrats, but they are gladly welcomed when they support Republicans. The party that constantly complains about Hollywood celebrities has incredibly hypocritically embraced Arnold Schwarzenneger, Ronald Reagan, Sonny Bono, Fred Thompson, etc.

It seems only appropriate that the latest celebrity endorsements are for the hypocritical party that constantly berate celebrities.

For a wrestler, Ric Flair is surprisingly big in South Carolina politics. While I think he's endorsing a poor candidate, it's a pretty positive boost for Huckabee.

My, my! How could I not support Mike Huckabee when he's endorsed by such paragons of political savoir faire and intellectual depth as Nature Boy and Chuck Norris? Maybe they can inject some growth hormones into his campaign!

Are these the kind of endorsement that will cause Huckabee to start tanking in Iowa. I certainly hope so!

Why should an endorsement from Norris or Flair be beneficial to Huckabee? That commercial that Huckabee is running with Chuck Norris is a joke, an embarrassment, and the work of an amateur. Hopefully, he will soon his "Flavor of the Month" status, and Romney will have the comfortable lead in Iowa. He deserves it.

Huckabee who???

Edward Swan, Little Rock, AR   November 19th, 2007 11:08 pm ET

Ric Flair is an entertaining performer and one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, but Mike Huckabee might think twice before accepting the endorsement of a man who's been arrested for road rage and charged with tax evasion in recent years. Wooooooooo!

MG Seattle, WA   November 19th, 2007 11:02 pm ET

Is CNN for real? It's news that some has-beens such as Ric Flair (never heard of him) and Chuck Norris support Huckabee? I wonder why CNN hasn't reported on the fact that Barry Goldwater, Jr. has endorsed Ron Paul? It is so obvious the tricks the media pulls. I love watching it backfire. Please continue to lose all credibility… as the revolution continues without you.

I didn't want to say this but if we have the choice between Hillary or Huckabee, it's going to be, in reality a choice for this country between 'Christ' or the 'Anti-Chirst.' I'm glad that the Nature Boy, Ric Flair sees what I see.

Robb, New York   November 19th, 2007 10:34 pm ET

Woooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! First Chuck Norris, now "The Nature Boy"! Flair's endorsement might not sway as many voters as Huckabee might like, but hey– it's not every day that you get endorsed by the sixteen time heavyweight champion of the world.
The strange thing is that "the actor" and "the wrestler" have it right– they're endorsing the real conservative on the Republican ticket.

Scott Alexander, Lakeland Florida   November 19th, 2007 10:21 pm ET

The fact that Huckabee is getting endorsements from all these pro-violence individuals (a pro fighter, a pro 2nd admendment hunter, and now a wrestler) should show that he would be the ultimate wrong choice as President. Seriously, do Chuck, the Nuge, and "The Nature Boy" really think voters are this dumb (I mean, voters that actually know right from wrong?).

Chris, Loomis, Ca   November 19th, 2007 10:19 pm ET

I've noticed (like everyone else) that Huckabee has been rising in the polls. It seems like the media actually believes he has the opportunity to win now.

Huckabee is just a regular guy with an incredible message. I checked out:

Patrick, Winston-Salem, NC   November 19th, 2007 9:41 pm ET

Before the "he's just a roided up freak show, who cares?" comments start rolling in, allow me to say this. When your job involves traveling the world, performing for and meeting thousands and thousands of people, you may eventually get a perspective on mankind and the world that the average person doesn't. Don't assume that your job on the assembly line gives you some God-given insight and wisdom into what really matters in the world over the man you dismiss as "just a redneck wrestler" or "some Hollywood limousine liberal." You may have some fierce opinions on the Mideast or Japan or Brazil, but those "know-nothings" have actually been there, met people, and seen things with their own eyes.

Keep that in mind as you rush to dismiss any "celebrity" who expresses a political opinion.

Jim in Orlando, FL   November 19th, 2007 9:27 pm ET

What's really under Chuck Norris's rug ? Rick Flair's head butt ! Huckabee, while not perfect, is one of the honest men (there is not an honest woman running) in this race, along with Obama, McCain, Paul, Biden, and a couple others. May two of them face off in the general election.

Dale Davis, Glendora, California   November 19th, 2007 9:26 pm ET

The new Great Evangelical Hope is now Huckaby. How sad. The southern conservative Protestants are groping for anybody but a Mormon. They are taking the bait. The Clinton camp is going to be laughing their way back into the White House. God help us all.

Big deal. Ron Paul has Kane (WWE). I know what you're saying, "but Huckabee has CHUCK NORRIS". well, I answer that with Ron Paul has Donna D'Errico. Enjoy your Texas Ranger, Huckabee. Ron Paul has the Baywatch vote.

Nick, Chester SC   November 19th, 2007 9:11 pm ET

When I need help in deciding something as important as picking a primary candidate, I always look for Ric Flair's guidance. He is the champion of not only the WWF & WCW, but of independent & critical thought. Whooooo! CNN, congrats on this crap you continue to poo out your news orfice.

Dont trust the support or judgment of a wrestler, as his brain is generally mushed by steroids and repeated bangings.

The fans of "rasslin", Chuck Norris type garbage on TV and gun-nut Rick Nugent are natural constituents to an anti-science, anti-modern backwoods Arkansas minister/ republican candidate.
In contrast to most celebrity endorsements, I think these are meaningful and will translate into votes. Republican voters tend to be "followers" anyway. Like zombies, they do what they are told.

I certainly wouldn't want Ted Nugent backing me if I were a candidate. Alot of people don't care for that man. What a turn off.
