As a supporter of Ron Paul, I thought it might be helpful to note several things on this old story. I have lived both in Las Vegas, in Clark County, where prostitution is illegal, and, Pahrump, in Nye County where prostitution is legal. These two communities are 60 miles apart. Although Vegas is a much larger town, their prostitution problems outside the "safe" zone of Fremont street could be diminished greatly if Clark County followed Nye County's lead. I knew these folks who work the brothels, personally, when living in Pahrump, and, they are fine people with normal families and good neighbors. There is no crime, disease, or any adverse societal problems associated with Brothels in Nye County. However, the reverse is true in Clark County where it is illegal. Do the authorities actually think they can regulate sexual activity between consenting adults with any amount of effect? Why would they want to anyway--it ain't their business, is it? As I noted above, the problem with prostitution is when it is illegal, and is conducted in a back alley. However, as a Paul supporter, I don't understand why he'd vote against legalizing it, yet talk incessantly about keeping the Gummint out of our shorts. Oh, well, as the article correctly pointed out, living free of Gummint intrusion in folks personal business, may be uncomfortable at times. He may come around on the issue.

I am apalled that CNN cannot see its way clear to being a part of the solution and not a part of the problem, when it comes to the perpetual muddling of the waters of public discourse.

There are many pressing issues that are relevant to the administration of our Republic and the survival of the constitutional government on which it is based. What pimp decides to donate to which candidate is not one of them!

Today, we have a man in the White House that has trampled the Constitution in a shameful manner that would have been difficult to imagine 8 years ago. The front-runner Democratic candidate didnt have the courage to oppose him -- and even today she does not seem to know how she feels about it all. The front-runner Republican candidate clearly will profess to believe whatever he thinks will get him elected -- in particular his "family values", which he would presumably bring the government to enforce in the bedrooms of America.

In the middle of this absurdity there is one man that is speaking intelligently about issues critical to the administration of our Republic and our constitutional government; critical to the survival of a free nation and society as imagined by the nation's founders.

CNN does not have to campaing for Ron Paul. But clearly CNN devote coverage to him only when it's cheesy. This is wrong, a betrayal of journalistic ethics and duty, and ultimately a betrayal of American people.

Journalists have (or ought to have) a responsibility to educate the public. But of course, that would be more work and probably would not make as much money -- glorified showbusiness is easier and more lucrative, alas!

For the first time in forty years of voting , I don't have to vote for the lesser of two evils, I can vote for someone I believe in 100%, "Ron Paul", for President. For all those years I have voted Democrate, I recently changed to Republician, just so I can vote for Ron Paul for President. I researched his campaign ideas and I could not find anything I dissagreed with him on. We have a huge billboard in our small front yard telling passers-by what "Ron Paul", for President is all about. We are just an average American family, we give what we can afford. We know how important this Presidential ellection is to us and all other Americans. We have a chance to "Get it Right" , by voting "Ron Paul" in as our next President. We are tired of ,"Business as usual politicians, who are obscenely gready, and mudd-slinging dissgraces to America and what it stands for. "Ron Paul is the only true-American, running for President.

Terry from El Paso,

You are mistaken. Its not about having no regulation, but quite the opposite.

Its about having high quality, representative regulation. Not some regulatory agency that has a monopoly on what is permissible and not.

A market based social framework would put regulation into the hands of the consumers, and would allow for competitive regulation, which would better serve the common man.

Having a monopoly on regulation that is controlled not by consumers but by political and anti-competitive business interests is the immoral aspect.

This would be a nice moment for Paul to explain the Libertarian policy on prostitution? Should prostitution be forbidden by the government when sellers and customers want to do business? Should working girls with entrepreneurial spirit be legislated out of office? Would he support a tax on prostititution if it were legalized? And what do Libertarians say about street drugs? Legalize them in the name of free enterprise? What about pornography? What about gay pornography? Legal or illegal?

What a lot of Conservatives don't realize is that Libertarianism is not Conservatism and it is completely amoral. It's all about making money without being taxed or regulated. Taxes are always bad; governmental regulation is always bad. Making money is always good under any circumstances.

Dude, I agree with you, but posting the same thing with different names isn't going to fool anyone. We need to show the world and public that there are many people that support Paul (which there are).

So Danny or Adam, I can dig it and I love me some Paul, but please stick to 1 post.

I do agree that no one cares who endorses whom. People are attacking Obama for Oprahs support. That's some strange stuff. Convicted felons endorse Clinton (who I think will be in prison this time next year) so that makes sense. Chuck Norris endorses Huckabee. That makes sense, they both seem like Hill Billies to me.

I think what we (the millions of Ron Paul supporters) need is Bruce Lee. He's the only one that can take down Chuck Norris. Perhaps Van Damme, but I think Sarkosy (sp) has him locked up.

Ron Paul is our best chance at a future. He has the right ideas and HONESTY that this crooked regime desperately needs. Who cares about endorsements anyways? Not like they even matter. People who believe just cause some big name actor/actress etc says they are endorsing x candidate and they let that affect them are stupid. yeah sure by a brothel owner but that isnt gonna make me vote for him. Im voting Ron Paul due to his vision, honesty, integrity, respect for the constitution and bill of rights. More than any other faux candidate can say. Ron Paul is human not bought and paid for like some of the others. Down with this fascist regime. Time for a revolution. Ron Paul anyone?

The outrageous paid for bias of CNN continues. Ron Paul has hundreds of powerful and legitimate supporters but yet CNN picks out every nutcase out there. Well that's fine, I can appreciate a brothel owner supporting Dr. Paul. Better than having a bigoted anti-Islam candidate like Huckabee who would wage a Holy Crusade in the Middle East. Those supporters can stay with him. So how about it CNN, are you going to report the NEWS or BIASED FLUFF? Ted Turner was right, selling CNN was his biggest mistake.

This describes Ron Paul's canidacy as well as any story. He's as conservative as any minister, but won't force his views at the federal level. Societal issues are best decided within the community, not by sweeping federal legislation that makes all Americans live by a single standard.

Americans will never resolve the moral differences which seperate us. We are not the homogenous society; the melting pot we are led to believe.

A vote for Ron Paul is one for pure freedom. He is not exploiting our differences, and he'll fight for what we all value.

How much longer can we sustain on the current course?

Please explain to me why Ron Paul gets two articles about the endorsement of some random brothel owner, each with a photo... meanwhile, Barry Goldwater Jr's endorsement of Ron Paul slips by with a small paragraph and no story. Is CNN a respectable new source, or a tabloid? I am beginning to question the maturity of their reporting staff.

You neglected to mention this endorsement was engineered by MSNBC's Tucker Carlson, who claims to be an "old friend" of the brothel owner, and who surprised the Paul campaign by showing up in a limo with two hookers, neither of whom seemed to know much about Congressman Paul. Ron Paul is probably the the least likely member of Congress to be publicly linked with with prostitutes or - at the risk of repeating myself - lobbyists.

The great thing about Ron Paul is that he brings people who may not normally agree with eachother together because we can all agree that this country needs at least one honest politician every generation to keep the American dream alive.

Let's not forget Congressman Ron Paul was also an OB-GYN doctor, who delivered more than 4,000 babies. I guess he must have seen how sexual workers suffered as his patients. He feels for them, but he has the intelligence of communicating his idea through tax benefits.

Dr. Paul is the one statesman that does not have to defend his family values, because his family and past public service tells you that he is honest, caring and intelligent with records available now. You don't have to wait till 2012 to view his records.

If you have seen "The People vs. Larry Flynt", you will understand it a bit better. I consider this movie one of the most American movies. I call for Mr. Larry Flynt to endorse Dr. Ron Paul soon.

I also hope Dr. Paul's sensible and logical idea towards prostitution will bring out the voters, who have never voted before. He has already attracted the young online voters by a great number. He does not have financial support from big corporations and lobbyists or the Chinese, but he has got strong support from average Americans with votes.

Dr. Ron Paul is the doctor for our American ills.

Congressman Ron Paul will be the role model in politics for many generations to come.

Why are there two articles on this subject, yet absoltely nothing else on the Congressman? I don't usually subscribe to conspiracy-like theories, but come one. It's obvious you are trying to paint this campaign in the worst possible light.

This "brothel owner" endorsement story is absolute garbage. As well as a very pathetic attempt to label and marginalize Dr. Paul as fringe. It is shameful that CNN aggregates this kind trash from the AP wire!

I believe Ron Paul deserves better recognition for his growing campaign, and his amazing unwaivering commitment to our personal liberties and freedoms, instead of this garbage.

Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX), is the most viable top-tier candidate that would bring about positive change in this country.

Wow, this is the most coverage you have ever given Ron Paul. You guys know how to run with a story as long as it has some sort of sexual twist to it. Wish you'd give as much coverage to his stand on the issues, but I guess that wouldn't work, heh? Still love that picture.

He's so uncomfortable with the endorsement he hasn't asked them to retract it, I notice. Just another right-wing hypocrite.

Ooohh goody, CNN again will only write about Ron Paul if they can find a way to tie him to fringes of society.

The real story is that Ron Paul enjoys support from everyone who cares about freedom in this country. Freedom from oppressive taxation and government sanctioned "morality" (like I need a lesson from the likes of Vitter).
