(CNN) — The late Ronald Reagan is usually mentioned several times in the Republican debates. But Wednesday night, he was seen as well. YouTube participant Ashley of San Antonio posed her question standing in front of a painting of a smiling Reagan wearing a cowboy hat. With the GOP icon over her shoulder, she asked whether candidates would favor tuition breaks to the children of war veterans, claiming similar breaks were approved by Mike Huckabee for children of illegal immigrants when he was governor of Arkansas. Huckabee disputed her premise, saying what he signed was a law allowing the students to receive the same tuition as their classmates, saying, "they didnt get something better, they had to earn it." – CNN Political Desk Managing Editor Steve Brusk Filed under: Mike Huckabee |
